"Can you really believe it?" asked the man with brown hands.

"How is that possible?" said the man with gray hands.

"If you said that yourself, could you believe it?" asked the Brown-Handed Man.

The Gray Hand Man said, "Then I'll have to think about it."

"Why do you have to think about it when it's you?" asked the brown-handed man.

"Put yourself in their shoes," said the Gray Hand Man.

"Have you figured it out now?" asked the brown-handed man. "Not yet," said the gray-handed man.

The brown-handed man asked, "Do you take this as a serious matter?"

"Don't you think this makes you appear more attentive to your problem?" asked the Gray Hand Man.

"You want to 'show off' too?" asked the brown-handed man.

"Then I'll remove the word 'appear' and rephrase it," said the Gray Hand Man. "Don't you think this will be more attentive to your question?"

The brown-handed man smiled and said, "Two words, just removed. Did you remove them after careful consideration?"

The Gray Hand said, "If I don't remove it, you will think that I said that just to show off. If I remove it, you will think that I didn't think carefully enough. So what should I do?"
