Chapter 36: The Chitauri's Advanced Weapons

Chapter 36: The Chitauri's Advanced Weapons

In the office, the black man Martin sat in his office chair, took out three envelopes from the drawer and threw them to Logan and the others.

"Remuneration: 20,000." Martin spoke sparingly and didn't say a word of nonsense.

Samuel and Josh took their envelopes, opened them and counted the green US dollars inside. They looked very excited and had already figured out where they would go to spend the night.

Logan, however, was not so elegant. He held the envelope, took a quick look at its thickness, and then stuffed it into his pocket.

At this moment, his mind was full of the weapons of the Chitauri.

If he remembered correctly, that batch of weapons was temporarily stored in the logistics warehouse in this area, and maybe it was now placed somewhere in the warehouse below.

As long as he could find a way to make it make some noise, maybe he could leave with the professor and Caliban early tomorrow morning!
Thinking of this, Logan was eager to make a move, but he did not rashly go directly to find the weapons. Instead, he followed Josh and Samuel out of the warehouse, and the three of them went to a bar near the warehouse to drink together.

This is a bar that is open all night. The hot dancers, blasting sound systems, and colorful lights keep the whole bar crazy all the time. Three people are admiring the beauties dancing on the poles in front of the bar, drinking beer in big gulps, and venting their fatigue from the journey.

Nearly an hour later, Samuel and Josh were both a little drunk and started talking nonsense.

Logan took this opportunity, ran out of the bar under the pretext of going to the restroom, and quickly returned to the logistics warehouse.

This logistics warehouse is very large, with surveillance cameras everywhere and armed guards patrolling from time to time.

The Lawrence family has connections in Santa Fe City and has connections in both the black and white worlds. The guards of their properties can shoot any stranger who breaks into the warehouse without restraint.

Logan hid in the darkness, carefully avoiding surveillance while bypassing the patrolling guards, and stuck to the outer wall of the warehouse looking for a way to enter the warehouse.

He wanted to provoke a conflict between the Lawrence family and S.H.I.E.L.D., but before the two sides officially started fighting, he didn't want Chris to discover his intention to escape.

"Damn it!"

After walking around the warehouse, Logan couldn't help but curse under his breath.

The main door and back door of the warehouse are all locked, and are equipped with very advanced alarm locks. As long as there is any attempt to pry the locks or forcefully destroy them, the alarm will sound within a radius of five kilometers, attracting a large number of guards.

Logan looked up at the ventilation duct helplessly.

This is now the only entrance to the warehouse.

Extending his steel claws and inserting them into the cracks in the wall, Logan quickly climbed up to the ventilation duct on the top of the warehouse, removed the blockade outside the ventilation duct, successfully entered the duct, and sneaked around in the narrow passage while bending over.

Through the ventilation holes in the passage, Logan could clearly see that the warehouse was brightly lit. In addition to surveillance cameras in every corner, there were also guards patrolling regularly.

Taking advantage of the gap when the guard walked by, Logan removed a vent and quietly entered the warehouse.

Carefully avoiding the guards and surveillance, Logan finally found the boxes of BU-26 and BU-27 stored in the corner of the warehouse.

But even though he found the target, Logan still couldn't act rashly.

"This position is too tricky!"

He couldn't help but grumble under his breath.

There were surveillance cameras everywhere around the two boxes of goods, leaving no blind spots for him to get close.

Staring at the surveillance cameras around the goods, Logan thought for a moment and then turned to look at the monitoring room on the second floor of the warehouse.

He had been to this warehouse before. He had entered here under the pretext of delivering goods, so he was familiar with the environment here.

He quietly walked to the door of the monitoring room and pushed it open carefully.

There was only one guard in the monitoring room. Maybe it was too boring to guard all those rows of monitoring equipment, that guy yawned continuously and didn't even notice Logan quietly coming up behind him.

Logan stretched out his hand and chopped at the back of his neck without hesitation, knocking him out directly. He put on his coat and started operating the computer.

After some tinkering, the surveillance footage was completely frozen and could no longer record any real footage.

After dealing with these, Logan bypassed the guards again and returned to the two boxes of cargo.

Without surveillance, Logan was able to let go completely. He opened the box of BU-26 as if nothing had happened, reached in to take out the laser cannon inside, and couldn't help but look it up and down.

"How do I start this thing?"

Logan looked at this high-tech laser cannon and was puzzled for a moment.

The slender gun looked to be about 1.3 meters long, with gold and silver colors all over. There was no magazine, but there was a muzzle at the front and a close combat blade connected to the bottom. However, there were no safety or loading devices on the body. Rather than calling it a gun, Logan felt that it was more like a cold weapon equipped with a trigger device... Just as Logan was looking at the weapon carefully, there was a loud bang behind him.

"Who are you!"

A guard raised his gun towards Logan's back and pressed the alarm on his chest.

As the shrill alarm sounded, dozens of guards rushed in from all directions and surrounded Logan in an instant.

The black muzzles of dozens of pistols were all locked on him.

Logan looked at the guards and sighed helplessly.

"Everyone, calm down." Logan said while holding the laser cannon.

In fact, he just wanted to come over and fire the laser cannon to end it, but now it seems that it can't be ended so easily...

"Put your stuff down!"

A guard spoke to Logan in a stern voice, looking at the laser cannon in his hand with fear.

Although he didn't know what it was, the appearance of that thing made him sense the danger...

"You mean this?"

Logan looked at the laser cannon in his hand, raised it and aimed it at the guard, followed by a confrontation with dozens of pistols.

Seeing this scene, everyone panicked instantly and subconsciously took a step back.

"Put your things down quickly!"

The guard spoke with a roar, his pistol pointed at Logan's head, ready to shoot at any moment.

"alright."

Logan shrugged and pulled the trigger decisively.

Click!

As the sound of the trigger being pulled was rang out, the faces of all the guards suddenly changed. They had no intention of resisting at all. They immediately fell to the ground in fear, holding their heads tightly with their hands.

Chris told them more than once that the things in the box were important and dangerous!

hum! ! !
The laser cannon hummed.

But it just made a buzzing sound...

Logan looked at the motionless laser cannon in his hand and was stunned for a moment.

"Fuck, it's a Squib?!"

Logan wasn't sure whether it was a problem with the gun or with himself. After all, he had only seen this thing in movies and had no idea how to use it.

When the guards lying on the ground saw no movement, they all raised their heads.

Looking at the laser cannon that only made a buzzing sound but did not attack at all, the fear on his face instantly disappeared.

"Fuck, kill him!"

The guard stood up suddenly, his face full of anger, as if he had been tricked. Without hesitation, he raised his pistol and was about to pull the trigger.

Boom!

But before he could completely pull the trigger, the buzzing sound of the laser cannon stopped abruptly, and a bright blue light suddenly gathered at the muzzle.

The sudden bright light was so dazzling that it was impossible to look directly at it. Even if one closed one's eyes, the blue light seemed to penetrate the eyelids and go straight into the pupils!
The dim warehouse was instantly enveloped by the blue light, as if the entire warehouse had turned blue.

boom!
A bright blue beam of light burst out instantly and hit the guard in front of him.

After just one encounter, the guard's body seemed to be hit by a cannonball. His whole body exploded instantly, with blood and flesh splattering and broken bones flying everywhere!
