A loud crashing sound resonated from behind me. The wooden wall broke to pieces from the impact. Dust and debris of the wooden wall filled the room. A lone figure emerged from the pile of debris that is still flying in the air...

"Charlotte!!!"

I immediately ran behind her. I know that it is quite disgraceful of me to run behind a girl but who cares?!?! My little sister is just too scary!!!

"No need to worry, Onii-chan! Charlotte will definitely protect you!", Charlotte said to me with great confidence behind her words.

" Hee~ So you dare to interrupt this sweet time between me and Nii-sama eh, Charlotte?", Mio said those words with a grim smile.

"On second thought, I'll just let Onii-chan accept his fate. Good luck, Onii-chan!", she said that as she gave me a thumbs-up.

"D-Don't leave me!!!"

"You've made a wise decision, Charlotte."

"Fufufu... Of course, I did. I still want to live, you know?"

"Oh, come on! Don't ignore me!"

"Wait, Charlotte! Don't go yet! If you help me this time, I'll comply with any one of your request you ask me. As long as it is within the scope of what I can do, I will do it with the best of my abilities!"

As soon as I finished saying that sentence, I saw a gleam in Charlotte's eyes.

Charlotte whispered something to Mio. I couldn't hear it because we are quite far away from each other. However, with each word Charlotte said, Mio;'s expression seemed to be better and better. And in the end, they seemed to have reached some sort of mutual agreement and shook their hands.

Something is definitely going on here. I couldn't really grasp what but there is some conspiracy going on here. However, since I got the chance to run away now, I won't be stupid enough as not to use it. Therefore, I immediately ran away from the haunted house, leaving Mio and Charlotte behind.

A few minutes after I ran away from Charlotte and Mio, I started to ponder why Mio let me go. However, no matter how much I thought over it, I wasn't able to get an answer. Therefore, I decided to return home.

As soon as I opened the door to my house, what was waiting for me was...

"Welcome home, Onii-chan! We've been waiting for you!"

"Fufufu~ Welcome home, Nii-sama! We're going to have a lot of fun together!"

They are both holding a leather strap in each of their hands, ready to tie me up at any time.
