The Birthday Of a Special Stranger

"yes, I'm meeting Edward"

"Are you sneaking out ?" The housekeeper yelled.

"Stop yelling nanny!" Joleen said as she put her hand on her nanny's mouth.

The housekeeper nodded in agreement. Joleen slowly removed her hand sighing.

"I'm sneaking out because of John. He would never allow me to meet Ed this late".

" Oh dear, what am I supposed to say if he finds out? John is not easy to deal with, he's very short tempered" The nanny whispered as she trembled in fear.

"Just pretend you know nothing. Now please, show me where the coat is".

They walked slowly and carefully upstairs.

"Here's your coat. I hope nothing bad happens".

The housekeeper went straight to her room. After receiving another text from her lover, Joleen calmly sneaked out.

Ed was eagerly waiting for her in the car. She approached the gate which was firmly shut. Feeling disappointed, she sent him another text message.

<Eddy! the gate is closed, how am I supposed to get out now?>

Edward stepped out of the car and approached the gate from the outside.

"That's the most beautiful prisoner I've ever seen". He said smiling.

She felt butterflies in her stomach when hearing his voice.

"Stop making fun of me. That's not the right time for this". She whined.

"I'm sorry baby, I just can't help it. Your face expression when being upset is irresistible".

He said while stretching his arm through the gate. He tenderly put his warm hand on her cold cheek. Joleen felt a chill in her entire body. A nice smile was drawn on her pretty face.

"I want to hug you". He said while rubbing her cheek with his thumb.

" Only if one of us melts and crossed this huge gate" She said ironically.

"I remember you sneaking out in the past. How did you do it?"

Unconsciously, she suddenly rushed towards one of the walls surrounding the villa.

"Hey Joleen! Where did you go?" Ed whispered.

There was a big tree near one of the walls. She felt thrilled when she found what seemed like a successful way to escape prison. She climbed quickly and lightly, then looked down as she reached the top of the wall.

"Eddy! come over here". She called him in a low voice.

"What the hell Joleen? Are you sure that you can jump?" Edward said with a worried look.

"Don't worry, I've done this when I was in high school. It's no big deal, I will definitely nail it". She replied as she got ready to jump.

"Jump baby, I will catch you!". He said with arms wide open.
