Xia Sha didn't come back to her office. Instead, she went to the rooftop to clear her mind. The weather is cold, but it even colder upstairs. But right, the cold wind is what she needs to revive her. 

What Mrs. Ling said has brought back the good memories she had shared with Ling Guang. All those laughter and smile make the muscle deep in her epigastrium clenched weirdly. 

She sighed and looked up at the sky. It's winter, but the sun is still shining brightly. The light is blinding and hurt her eyes. But instead of lowering her head, she closed her eyes and enjoyed the little warmth the sun could offer. 

Isn't it always been this way? 

She got sad all over again because the good memories make the betrayal felt painful. After all, you can't hate the people you don't love. Well, exception for Pang Ze Tian and Xia Xiang. She just hated them the moment they appear. 

She picked up the piece of herself and slowly walked to her favorite spot. She ignores the coldness and leans outwardly to the iron railing. 

"The higher the tree is, the stronger the wind is. So the saying is true indeed," the smooth voice rang out from behind. Xia Sha could felt he is getting closer and eventually end up standing next to her. 

"The weather is nice," he said and tried to enjoy the cold wind. 

Xia Sha glanced at him and nodded her head. She agreed that the weather is nice today. 

"There will be less bug in winter, but one is still bugging me," she replied curtly. 

Guan Xian looks at her, his nose flared up as he clapped his hand. 

"Wow, your mood change is unbelievable. You are as sweet honey the second before now you are as sour as a lemon."

"So? You are going to give up chasing me now?" She raised her eyebrow and put on a cold face. 

"No. I'm going to make sweet and sour pork from you. I'll squeeze you to dry." He pokes her arm carefully. Xia Sha gets annoyed and entertained at the same time. She got lost in words. 

"What are you doing here anyway?"

Xia Sha just realized that this man comes to her company after she ignored his text. What's weirder it's he come with his sister. Who she only made a friend recently. 

"Shh... I seem to attract my presence every time you have trouble. I think we have a private connection. It must be a thing between soulmates. You gave me a signal every time you need me to save you," he brags.

"..." 

He is not wrong, but he sounds like Mr know-it-all, and it irked her somehow. 

"You want to get beaten to death?" Xia Sha rolls her sleeve up to make her sounds convincing. 

Guan Xian turns his body facing her. Then he deliberately lowered his neck to pointed out how tiny she is. Using a confused face, he poked on her cheek and tilted his head. 

"You? beat me? to death?" 

He sounds amused at Xia Sha's choice of words. However, Xia Sha is quite determined, so she didn't mind him underestimating her. 

"You don't believe me?" she asked with a proud face. 

"Pfftt, it's not that I don't want to believe you, but I can't," he expressed his mind directly. He enjoyed Xia Sha's darkening face. He is laughing his heart out, so he is caught unguarded when Xia Sha suddenly grabs his collar.

It happens so suddenly that he did not even have time to flenched. 

They stand so closed to each other faces now she has cut so much distance between them. Although she looks cute since she needs to tiptoe, she has succeeded in making Guan Xian stop laughing and eventually starts to get weary of her. 

Guan Xian's iris were expending when he fixed his gaze on her beautiful face. Their nose was only centimeters away. He only needs to move his nose forward a little to touch her's. 

His heart is racing, but he could not help but enjoy the exhilarating feeling from their close distance. 

"You don't believe me? I could easily defeat you," Xia Sha murmured in a small voice. Her confident voice filled Guan Xian's mind and made him slightly dizzy. He tried to sober up and control his emotions. 

"I admitted that you are slightly taller than my sister, but-" He deliberately stops to make her nervous. 

He takes his time to enjoy Xia Sha's face in close distance. He found out that her ear will slightly lift when she is annoyed. The little fact he found out, somehow, could make his heart burst out of joy.

Guan Xian paused for about five heartbeats before he continued his sentence. 

"You overestimated yourself. I don't want to brag, but I got trained by ex-FB-" 

Guan Xian widens his eyes at Xia Sha's sudden attack. If you think she steals a start and beat him when he didn't notice, you are wrong. Guan Xian didn't felt any pain at all. From head to toe. Psychically he felt more than fine. He felt great. 

But he mentally in a mess when he felt warm and plump thing sticking into his lips. His soul is flying away from his body when he realized what Xia Sha has done to him. 

Death. He is really got beaten to death by this small girl. 

How dare she steal his kiss, when he is unprepared, while she tiptoed and clenched his collar? 

What angers him more is that it only lasted for a second!

His eyes are bulging out when she pulled her face away from him. There is a burst of red on Xia Sha's cheek as she looked away awkwardly to avoid hit burning stares. 

Guan Xian would never let himself get humiliated like this. He grabbed her waist before she could move farther away. His strong arm pulls her into his chest as he lowered his head to her. 

Because of the height difference, she needs to look up. Their gaze instantly meets each other again after parting less than half a second. There is different light on Guan Xian's dark brown eyes. 

It used to bewitched and charmed her every time she glace at him. But this time it, caused her goosebumps all over her body. The kind and warm man is gone, replaced by this hungry creature that just woken up after a long hibernation. 

He did not even give her a chance to think when his other hand covers the back of her head. With a gentle push, their lips entangled again. He even closed his eyes to savor every moment of it. 

Xia Sha is surprised, but she has no room to retreat or refuse. He has given her no choice but to close her eyes and let him dominate his game. He covers her lips for a long time until she starts to lose her stock of oxygent. 

Only when he felt she is wiggling in panic, he reluctantly let go of her. 

Xia Sha grabs as many oxygent as if she just finished running in a long marathon. Her chest moves up and down erratically as she glare at him. 

"Are you crazy? I almost died," she protested. 

"I thought you are the one who beaten me to do death. Turn out I suffocated you after you did," Guan Xian grinned like a little boy. 

Xia Sha pushed his chest away and turned her back toward him. She needs a moment to control her pounding heart and blush. She can't give him more reason to tease her. 

She has got teased enough that she might explode like a firework. She guaranteed that her face is redder than a tomato right now. Which make her missed to witness the shameless Guan Xian acted like a shy boy. 

His condition is not far better than Xia Sha. His ear is red because he is shy, and he covered his whole face with his big palm. 

If it's the usual Guan Xian, he would never miss this opportunity to turn her around and tease her more. But Xia Sha's kiss has beaten him to death indeed. He felt the old him is dead, and he has reborn now. 

"I- I need to work now," Xia Sha said without even looking at Guan Xian. 

"Well, I might need to go now, too," Guan Xian tried not to sound too giddy, but he is as nervous as her. 

"Then I'll go now!" 

She runs away right after she informed him. Guan Xian stood on his spot and let her slipped away. He never felt his cheek burning as hot as today. When her body disappears behind the closed door, all his facade crumbled. 

He slumped to the ground with a disbelief face. Like a fool, he touched his lips and mumbles to himself, "She just kissed me.. She just kissed me. SHE JUST KISSED ME!"
