Reflections on Chapter 26, Volume 1
Chapter 26, Volume One Remarks
As this is the first volume, I think it would be better to say hello to everyone.
Little Dove pays her respects.
This concludes the volume of "Twin Girls." As the foreshadowing of this book, it has fulfilled its duty.
I tried my best to capture the rhythm, atmosphere, tone, and fight scenes in my mind.
The inspiration came from materials I was preparing for another book.
Multiple personality disorder. Professionally speaking, there is no such thing as dual personality. If there are two consciousnesses, there should naturally be two identities. One could use two identities to avoid suspicion, creating a super tool persona with one outward appearance and one inner self. As long as the suspicious points are set up properly, it should be a pretty good reversal.
But I gave up.
Starting with this level of detail is extremely unfriendly to readers.
Moreover, the pacing is too slow to finish at 50,000 words.
A story should have a beginning and an end within 100,000 words.
As a lighthearted, slice-of-life story, it's sufficient.
This is a heartwarming story I wanted to write. Sincerity moves mountains. More than my previous preparations, I feel that a story that comes from the heart is a more meaningful and enjoyable experience for modern readers.
It is more realistic and lifelike.
These kinds of stories offer a satisfying and memorable experience.
Domestic violence is actually very common, but people often keep quiet about it because life has to go on.
Breaking with convention always requires courage and conviction.
Only we ourselves can change our lives.
I used to think it sounded like motivational fluff, but only after living it myself do I realize how much a person can actually do.
Of course, there are many more that cannot be done.
Even if I haven't reached that level yet, it's still the direction I'm relentlessly working towards to improve.
I remember when I first started writing, I learned a lot of vocabulary in order to write good fight scenes. Writing fight scenes was really tiring. After finishing a chapter, I felt like I had gone through a long time, but when I looked back, it felt like it was just a few short sentences.
It seems that as I wrote about fighting scenes, I started to understand what "江湖气" (jianghu qi, a kind of chivalrous spirit) meant. This is a rare gain; often, it's only when I write that inspiration strikes, and the spontaneous approach is full of brilliance.
Writing it is tiring, and reading it might be tiring too, but it's so cool and exciting. Just imagining the scene makes my blood boil as I sit at my desk at home.
If there are any shortcomings or regrets, they would be my own erratic state and occasional affectation.
And the pigeon's inherent nature, which is difficult to overcome.
I've been writing at home lately because of the pandemic.
To be honest, the environment isn't great. There are many things that require my attention, online spring recruitment is about to begin, and my graduation project is also being reviewed.
Limited by the environment, the quality of the last few chapters was not very high, failing to meet the ideal expectations and even feeling somewhat pretentious.
But words are never wrong; they are all reflections of the heart, so let it be.
The setting of this book is actually known to those who have read "The Legend of the Fate Hunter," as much of the content is derived from that book.
I recognize my own shortcomings and can only learn a little from them with reverence.
Of course, the plot and character design are my own creations. Occasionally, I'll share some silly and imaginative ideas with a few cuties in the group chat, witnessing the development of this book.
Yes, this is the daily life of a chatterbox, with the ability to easily generate 99+ comments.
It's been a while since the book was published, so whatever the results are, is normal. A book won't get off the ground until it reaches 20 words.
Many thanks to editors Ziliang and Zhusha for accepting this book when it was only 4000 words long; I am truly flattered.
And to all the little ones who have supported us all along.
I will try my best to save up drafts and come up with more ideas.
No amount of words can compare to writing a few more words.
Book Two, "Superman Can't Have Children," is coming soon.
