Chapter 148 The newcomer is steady, Ki's jinx

Both sides started normally.

When facing Olaf, the Prince must start with red buff; otherwise, as the red side, starting with blue buff will easily lead to losing control of the top lane jungle.

When Olaf finishes clearing the blue buff, he'll head straight for the red side's top jungle. With Olaf's high early-game damage, Jarvan IV will almost certainly lose his rhythm.

Both junglers started with their own buffs, and the four players in the bottom lane were well aware of this and went straight to their lanes.

Without saying much, Li Luo immediately activated his E skill and started pushing the lane.

Olaf started with blue buff, and against a lineup like Ezreal and Braum, there was no need to dawdle.

In a few moments, the blue team's minion wave was completely wiped out, while the red team still had three minions continuing to head towards the tower.

As for Ezreal blocking the minion wave?
Other ADCs can pull the minion wave and wait for the second wave to arrive, but Ezreal can't do that.

As the ADC in the bottom lane, the designers have accurately positioned all marksman heroes from the very beginning.

Whether you look at the skill mechanics or the early-game health and armor, there are patterns to it.

Like some perfectly designed heroes created by designers who have a brain fart, they will soon be heavily nerfed and won't be able to run rampant for long.

Meanwhile, veteran champions like Ezreal and Tristana have even more unique characteristics.

Ezreal, the Explorer, combines poke, escape, burst damage, and ranged support. He has ample mid-game damage output and survivability comparable to one of the top ADC heroes.

In small-scale team fights, by utilizing its attrition capabilities, it has virtually no fatal weaknesses.

Furthermore, he can have his own voice in both unfavorable and favorable situations. At first glance, Ezreal is indeed perfect.

But as a designer, how could I not have considered the balance of Ez?

Ezreal has two fatal flaws in the early game. If the opponent catches these flaws, it is easy to kill Ezreal in the mid-to-late game.
-
Damage tolerance and recovery ability.

Ezreal's sustain, or recovery ability, while seemingly improved in the S8 patch with its gold-stealing mechanic, still suffers from a significant weakness: his damage mitigation.

As any player familiar with all AD carries should know, Ezreal has the lowest and squishiest health among all AD carries.

Opening the attribute panel reveals that Ezreal has the lowest health in the league at 484 points, and his armor is a paltry 19 points, putting him at a complete disadvantage in head-to-head confrontations with other ADCs.

However, looking at Tristana's level 1 stats, she has a whopping 550 HP and 22 armor, completely outclassing Ezreal.

Many new League of Legends players, or those unfamiliar with Ezreal, are prone to engaging in close-quarters combat with the opponent because they are greedy for the Kleptomancy skill when they first log in.

Unexpectedly, after I hit someone with a QA combo, my health was actually lower than when the opponent hit me with an auto-attack.

As one side gains and the other loses, by the time Ezreal reaches level two, he, who was suppressed at level one, naturally loses lane control and begins to play defensively in lane, only able to farm minions with Q.

"Jacklove's understanding of Ezreal is quite good."

Seeing the relic shield on Ezreal, Li Luo secretly praised it.

Ezreal and Braum could only withstand the pressure when facing Tristana and Tahm Kench. In terms of equipment and positioning details, JackeyLove performed no worse than other top AD carries in the LPL in the first game.

With RNG on the red side having a large number of minions, all Ezreal can do at this point is to maintain his health and try to last hit as many minions as possible. Even if he misses some minions, he cannot afford to be caught out and harassed.

This clever move of temporarily avoiding the limelight allowed the two to avoid Tristana's powerful burst phase at levels 3 and 4. Once they leveled up or Ezreal acquired mana items, it would be much harder for Tristana to pressure Ezreal. Faced with this situation, Li Luo didn't have any good solutions.

The bot lane is different from the aggressive top lane. Once one side is forced to play defensively, especially with champions like Ezreal and Braum, all an ADC can do is not miss a single hit and ensure their own healthy development.

The first game in the bottom lane was unusually calm, much to the surprise of many fans who were hoping to see Uzi teach the newcomers a lesson.

However, the clashes between RNG's top, mid, and jungle players are very frequent.

In less than 10 minutes, from the moment both junglers secured their double buffs, the clashes between the mid and jungle players on both sides never stopped.

Although the Rogue's Heal spell is less effective in early game support, it has a significant advantage in mid-jungle 2v2 situations.

And without exception, every time RNG tries to coordinate with their mid and jungle to open up the game in the top lane, Ning and Rookie always seem to run into RNG in the river or jungle by sheer coincidence.

At this point, the two players laning on the top lane also have to come over to help fight. What was originally a 2v1 gank eventually turned into a 3v3 free-for-all.

"Huh? RNG is going to gank top lane?"

"Sorry, my top laner from IG needs to come and gank mid lane with the jungler."

"What are you looking at? Want to fight me?"

"Go ahead and touch me, who's afraid of who?"

Upon meeting, neither side showed any restraint. IG was already a reckless team, and seeing the champion team made them extremely jealous. The two sides started fighting without saying a word.

The prince, who charged forward, was the first to die, but Olaf was also taken down by Xiaohu's Wanderer. Letme, who arrived from the other side, had no choice but to cover Xiaohu's retreat.

The second wave saw RNG drive to the top lane to gank Ornn, but unexpectedly Ning and Rookie were already waiting there. In this wave, the top laners traded kills, and the minion wave was cleared by both sides' mid and jungle.

In the mid lane, Xiaohu, having reached the power spike of Ryze, played no less than Lucian.

In this version, the combination of the Wanderer's talents and skills not only results in terrifying damage, but also provides high movement speed and a shield. With a few well-placed moves, he can sometimes even dodge Oma's Q skill.

Although Xiaohu was originally an assassin, the wandering hero is also his signature style.

The skill's aftercast animation is canceled, and a crucial basic attack is added to several military-style punches, making it look exceptionally smooth and seamless.

Olaf's strong fighting ability doesn't mean he's good at ganking. With Phase Rush, Rogue is not afraid of Olaf's slow, but Olaf's eight horses will be controlled by the Prince of Xiangguo next to him.

RNG didn't blindly rush into a fight with IG. Instead, Xiangguo made an unusual move by taking the dragon, signaling the start of RNG's first offensive.

"RNG's current rhythm is like SKT in their prime. Their lane rotations and bot lane decisions are all very well executed. IG seems to be locked in a tight battle with RNG, but look at the gold difference. At 12 minutes, RNG has already gained a 2100 gold lead."

"Furthermore, Colonel Ki also provided us with data. Wait, according to Colonel Ki's data, IG's win rate at this point in a team fight is actually 7%!"

Looking at the mischievous Colonel Ki, the doll touched her nose shyly.

Miller immediately chimed in from the other end.

"Yes, although RNG has gained an advantage, it's mainly concentrated on Ryze in the mid lane and Tristana in the bot lane. Tristana hasn't gone back to buy items yet. If they really start the dragon now, RNG will still be at a slight disadvantage."
