Arad's unruly savior
Chapter 4003 The Three Great Sage Books
Chapter 4003 The Three Sacred Books
Demon world.
Using the Ancient Spear, Ritz and his companions cleaved through the mysterious, invisible barrier and quickly returned, arriving in Brooklyn immediately. They found Hilder, the Weeping Eye, who lived in Moller Valley, and recounted the sights they had seen at the original site of Terra and in the nearby star system.
They all knew more or less about Hilder's past identity and background. Hilder was the uncrowned queen of the demon realm, deeply loved and widely worshipped, and enjoyed extremely high prestige. She was one of the few apostles who devoted her efforts to the future of the demon realm. They all respected her very much, so it was necessary to tell her about the original site, ask her what she thought, and give her opinions.
“A whole starry sky, perhaps half the universe, could have that kind of light,” Niwu said.
She wondered how there were so many fragments after Terra shattered, and how the impact was so widespread that almost every planet on the return journey lit up with some light.
The erudite Ritz provided an explanation, giving an example: when meteorites are mentioned, people often imagine large, extraterrestrial objects, as destructive as a meteor shower, which are both terrifying and precious.
However, the reality is different. In the Demon Realm, on the continent of Arad, thousands of meteorites may be bombarding the area every hour. However, these meteorites are extremely small, so small that tools may be needed to discover their unique appearance... tiny particles with concentric patterns.
When small meteorites enter the atmosphere, they are subjected to resistance, which greatly reduces their threat, just like how raindrops from the sky don't kill people. They eventually settle somewhere on the ground.
In other words, extremely tiny meteorite particles could be found in every corner of the Arad continent, the Demon Realm, the Celestial Realm, and so on.
Therefore, as long as a portion of the Terra star system is pulverized into sufficiently fine dust, coupled with the surge of energy, it can spread over a vast area to the original universe, which is why they saw what appeared to be half of the universe glowing.
That is precisely why the problem has become so serious.
Ritz then raised another key point, saying, "There's another issue: the main city of Terra, which is also the Demon Realm, doesn't seem to have been affected."
Unfortunately, they were under considerable negative influence at the time and had no choice but to use the ancient artifact, the Primordial Spear, to break through the invisible restrictions and return at top speed, thus failing to witness the final outcome of that change.
Herder remained silent throughout, her expression utterly calm, and said indifferently:
"Wait for me a few minutes."
Then she ordered Diligern to send Akko to the continent of Arad, to sleep there tonight with her sisters, and to take her to school tomorrow morning.
The lazy, lucky three-tailed cat yawned, covered its mouth with its paw, flicked its tail, and followed behind with light, lithe steps.
The arrogant bird Luo Bu Le, who had defeated almost all the birds in the Demon Realm, slightly opened her eyes. Not long ago, she had been thoroughly satisfied by Ye Lin's chicken breast feast and was still in a daze. She lay in her nest, which she had made with high-energy magic essence, top-grade warding jade, and holy spirit runes. She was in a special state where she was full of energy and spirit, but just couldn't muster any strength.
She also understood that it would be cool for Yako to have a beautiful, lucky three-tailed cat by her side when she went to school or played, but it would seem strange to have a peacock that walked arrogantly and would kick anything it didn't like.
When Hilder reappeared, she had transformed from her everyday home attire into the familiar Hilder with the weeping eyes. She had a tear stain under her left eye, and a delicate golden tear stain mask adorned the right side of her face. She wore a fur-trimmed cape coat that accentuated her broad shoulders, exuding a cold and aloof aura. The difference was that she had previously worn a sexy bikini, but now she wore a more conservative long coat and trousers.
Ritz raised an eyebrow slightly. Even though she had already reached the Transcendent Realm and opened the Eye of Knowledge, seeing through the true nature of all things and being able to see through their essence at a glance, she once again felt the shock of seeing the Second Apostle Hilder when she was not strong enough. The shock she felt upon seeing Hilder was that she was unfathomable and mysterious. It seemed that she could not see through how much this woman was hiding. Was what she was showing now really all of her?
Her gaze lingered on Herder for a moment, then she frowned slightly. Whether it was a misperception or the effect of her clothes, she felt that Herder's chest was more prominent than before, and her hips were more rounded and full, exuding the charm of a mature woman without any deliberate effort.
Before long, two more beams of light fell on the courtyard of Moller Valley. The elf Katie had gentle eyes and wore a green short dress that revealed her long, straight, beautiful legs. She looked surprised and her eyes were full of curiosity. Lord Hilder rarely summoned them on his own initiative, and he could only recall a handful of times.
The Moon Sumira, still in a languid and uninteresting state, habitually began to annoy Katie upon seeing her, smiling as she said:
"Auntie, you look great. Your cultivation level seems to have increased again."
What appears to be a polite greeting actually carries a hint of mockery when applied to Katie.
Because Katie followed the path of Night Forest, becoming a transcendent through divine means, while Smira became a transcendent by severing the root of the Dark Eye in her memories with Night Forest's help. The two are fundamentally different.
Aunt Katie is always very shy, and she gets embarrassed when teased.
So the real meaning behind Smira's greeting was actually... Auntie, you and Ye Lin did something lewd again, didn't you?
Moreover, such words are basically only effective on Aunt Katie. If it were Rossello or Sulfana, they would probably proudly puff out their chests and say, "Yes, we've become stronger again, thanks to the leader's grace."
Just as Smira had expected, Katie's delicate cheeks flushed slightly with embarrassment. Feeling her stomach burning again, she pretended not to understand the unspoken implication, and after giving a perfunctory reply, changed the subject, saying:
"It's alright, you look quite well, Lord Hilder. Is there something you need from us?"
Monica from the library had something urgent to attend to and would come back later.
"Follow me." Hilder touched the ground with her staff, and a complex magic circle lit up, surging with unknown spatial fluctuations.
Smira and the others followed without hesitation. At this point in their lives, Lord Hilder could no longer harm them, and besides... they were basically all family now.
A flash of light, and the group vanished from the Moller Valley, reappearing in a mysterious space that seemed devoid of sky. The first thing they saw were several silent, towering peaks, sparsely covered with unknown plants, creating a desolate atmosphere. Below the peaks lay a vast, stagnant lake, calm as a mirror, unfathomably deep, exuding an extremely terrifying, heavy, and oppressive feeling. It seemed as if this lake led straight to the earth and could devour even the gods.
“The surface of the true waters,” Rize murmured, her eyes brightening slightly. She had heard of this place from Alice, the former leader of Taracuta.
Legend has it that this body of water can reflect the true nature of life. Any disguise or secret art will be rendered useless here. At the same time, the real water can reflect everyone's appearance like a mirror, revealing the deepest secrets buried in one's heart.
This place can be considered one of Lord Hilder's deepest secrets. Throughout the entire Demon Realm, only a handful of people have seen its true face, and these few are all here for the first time. Even apostles of the same rank in the past have not discovered this place.
Rossello pondered a few things... The representative from Taraku was indeed the Eternal Holy Spirit Riz. Lord Hilder did not invite the Void Mage Ron, well, that's not surprising.
As for their own leader, he should have more important things to do.
They steadied themselves and stepped onto the surface of the real water. Ripples spread out wherever they landed. Those at the transcendent level could remain unaffected by the surface of the real water as long as they paid attention. Although they had no secrets they couldn't tell, it's human nature to hide one's privacy, and no one wants to be stripped naked so easily.
At the end of the water's surface stood a massive circular altar, upon which stood more than a dozen ancient stone tablets, each tens of meters high. The tablets were engraved with special, undecipherable script, which was the sacred book of ancient Terra, the secret that Hilder had believed for a long time, and the source of the trouble caused by the transfer of the apostles.
Rossello discovered that the stone tablet she and Ye Lin had unearthed from Mount Corretki not long ago was also here. She already knew the text on the back, which was part of the cosmic secrets left by one of the artificial gods. She hadn't been able to decipher the text on the front at the time, but now it seemed to be a chapter from one of the three great holy books.
“I used to think you were a silly beauty, someone who made a prophecy out of nowhere and fooled you into believing it. If Ye Lin didn’t lie to you about having a second child, then he’s really useless. But now I think you’re really smart.” Sirocco sat on one of the stone tablets, his legs casually crossed, wearing a pair of stunning crystal shoes.
Hilder remained unmoved, having developed an immunity to all of Sirocco's provocations, and calmly said:
"All the prophecies we have collected are here, the three great sacred books, Genesis, The Last Century, and The Age of Creation, have been fully collected."
She used "we" instead of "I," which means that this is all of Herder's hard work.
Although she had lost her initial faith in the stone tablet prophecies and no longer blindly believed in them, she still managed to collect all the tablets out of a psychological obsession. This was thanks to all of Herder's efforts, as well as the help provided by Nightwood with "eternal power".
Some of the stone tablets were completely destroyed, and could only be retrieved from the past through the power of eternity.
"All of them?" Ritz asked involuntarily, immediately focusing all her attention on the stone tablet, using her Eye of Knowledge to discern its secrets.
She was a frequent visitor to the ancient library and a good friend of Iggy the Infiltrator. Ritz had an exceptional understanding of this, knowing what the three holy books meant and that the half-true, half-false prophecies could reflect parts of the future, which was astonishing enough on its own.
The prophecies in the sacred book are partly true and partly false, but the power they contain is certainly extraordinary, and they have influenced parts of the future.
With his discerning eye, Ritz observed the inscription on one of the stone tablets and quickly deciphered part of its content:
"All the turmoil, strife, and contradictions, everything, came to an abrupt halt in that great wrath, frozen in time."
"Nothing lasts forever; a proud and complacent soul is cast into the abyss."
……
Ritz believes that what he analyzed appears to be part of "The End of the Century," corresponding to the destruction of Terra, which is the battle between the twelve artificial gods and the Great Will.
Another stream of light entered the space, and Monica from the ancient library arrived. She was intellectual, elegant, mature, and charming. Like Ritz, she dressed very conservatively, revealing almost no skin except for her face and hands. The common point was that both of them had beautiful curves. The difference was that Monica's fashion sense was much better, and she was more vibrant and beautiful than Ritz.
Monica also brought translated versions of the three holy books. The inscriptions on the stone tablets were in ancient script, which required deciphering to understand their contents. She translated them all directly, meaning that she saw all the holy books before Ritz and the others.
After distributing the translated content to the leaders, Monica asked:
"Have you encountered a situation where Terra is recovering? Hmm... I mean, those broken pieces of the planet are being pulled back to their original positions by an invisible force."
Ritz and the others nodded, then paused for a moment before looking at Monica, slightly surprised that she knew about this. She was a newcomer and theoretically shouldn't know about it. Had Lord Hilder secretly informed her?
Immediately, they learned the answer from the translated version in their hands. The last chapter of the Holy Book, The End of the Century, mentioned the phrase "all things return to their place," although its content differed slightly from the current reality.
As the second of the three sacred books, "The End of the Century" records the destruction of Terra and also serves as a bridge between "Genesis," which records the creation of the world of Terra, and leads to the first chapter of "The Age of Creation," which records the re-creation of Terra after its destruction.
Therefore, the records in "The End of the Century" contain some discrepancies with the present information.
What Ritz and the others are seeing now is that almost all the original fragments, even the smallest speck of dust, are returning to their original positions without any prior conditions; it's a sudden event.
The artificial god starry sky secrets that Rossello was looking for definitely did not possess such power.
The information recorded in "The End of the Century" once again suggests that the event of restoring everything to its original state will only begin after the twelve qualified gods sacrifice themselves, and Terra will return to its original state.
Both answers are consistent in the final answer, but the process content is quite different, and it is still a special state of being half true and half false.
“Indeed, it’s astonishing.” Katie stared at the stone tablet recording the three sacred books. The most skillful lie is to mislead with correct information, thereby producing the wrong answer.
Even the answer is correct; the purpose of the lie is simply to cover up the seemingly insignificant error in the entire process.
