Chapter 1707 Interview

Chapter 1707 Interview

The next day, Britney changed into a decent outfit and went out, going directly to the second floor opposite. Oaks did not follow her.

On the second floor is the recruitment liaison office of the Ryan Band.

Britney entered the reception room.

There were already several people waiting inside, all of them were here to apply for the job, and they all brought their own musical instruments.

When they saw Britney come in, everyone looked at her curiously.

Because she didn't bring anything.

A middle-aged woman wearing glasses came out, looked at the applicants in the reception room and said, "Come in now if I call your name. The rest wait outside."

"Joseph."

"arrive."

A bearded man stood up and answered.

"come in."

Joseph entered with his instrument.

It came out not long after.

Someone asked, “How is it?”

Joseph: "Let me go back and wait for news."

After a few more people came in, it was finally Britney's turn.

"Britney." The middle-aged woman looked at the list and shouted.

Brittany stood up and followed her into the room.

The room is spacious and has a small stage with many musical instruments on it.

Several people in charge of the interviews were sitting in front of the stage, both men and women.

Britney took a quick glance and didn't see Ryan and Margaret.

Also, this is just the primary election, why would they attend?

This doesn't bother Britney.

Sitting in the middle was a man who looked to be in his forties, wearing a black suit and with a serious expression.

He asked the question first.

"Ms. Britney?" "Yes, I'm Britney."

"Hello, I'm the interview manager for the Ryan Band. My name is Tom." The man introduced himself. "Can you briefly introduce yourself first?"

Britney nodded and began to introduce her musical experience and expertise.

Tom nodded from time to time while listening. Finally, he said, "Okay, Ms. Britney, I have a preliminary understanding of your situation. Our orchestra does need a violinist, but we still need to further assess your musical ability. Do you have any prepared repertoire that you can perform live?"

Britney: "Yes, I have prepared it. But there was a problem with my checked luggage, and I haven't received my violin yet. Can I borrow your instrument?"

After hearing what she said, the other interviewees couldn't help but whisper.

If I don’t have the instrument I’m used to, won’t my performance level be compromised?

What's wrong with Britney, she is so careless. Some people already feel sorry for her.

Tom coughed, and the discussion stopped immediately. He said to Britney, "Sure. There are several violins on the stage. Go pick one."

"Thank you."

Britney walked over, picked up a small guitar at random, tried to play it a few times, adjusted the pitch, and then said, "This is it."

Tom: “Let’s get started.”

Britney stood on the stage, bowed to the interviewers, then put the violin on her shoulder and played the melody.

"Oh, what she played was... a piece of music composed by our band (Rainy Night)..."

Some people couldn't help but exclaim.

This is so unexpected!

Most applicants would choose to play some well-known songs to show their skills and musical understanding, but this applicant named Britney chose a song that her band had composed.

Tom squinted his eyes and listened carefully to Britney's performance, tapping his fingers on his thighs to make a rhythm. He nodded slightly, secretly approving.

"Stop, Ms. Britney, that's enough." Tom interrupted Britney's playing.

Britney stopped playing the instrument and looked at Tom with some confusion: "Is it really okay? I feel like I'm just getting into the groove."

Tom smiled and explained, "Yes, Ms. Britney, that's enough. Now, tell me, why did you choose this piece for your performance?"

Britney answered seriously: "Well, before applying, I carefully watched all the concert videos of your band. I found that this song "Rainy Night" composed by you is a piece that appears in every concert. Therefore, I think if I have the opportunity to join your band, it will be very important to master and play this piece proficiently. So, I chose it."

Tom nodded with satisfaction and said, "Very good, Ms. Britney, your choice shows your understanding and respect for our band. You can proceed to the second round of interviews."

Britney showed a happy smile on her face. She thanked Tom and looked forward to the next re-examination.
