Chapter 531 Treating Kidney Deficiency Without Sugar

Chapter 531 Treating Kidney Deficiency Without Sugar

This place... looks familiar.

Wang Chuan struggled to get up and realized that he was lying on the floor with a single bed behind him.

This is a bedroom. Looking up, you can see the open door. At this moment, faint light shines in from the window, allowing him to see the furnishings of the room.

A wooden bed with a pale yellow striped sheet on it, and a light pink quilt folded up and placed at the head of the bed.

Next to the bed was a plastic woven basket containing some men's clothing.

Next to the bedroom door was a desk with a desktop computer on it, and several women's magazines were standing next to the computer.

The layout looked somewhat familiar, but Wang Chuan couldn't recall seeing this room before.

"What the hell is this place?"

He looked around but found no trace of the ghost.

The sky outside was beginning to lighten, and daylight was approaching.

After confirming that there was no danger around, Wang Chuan quickly walked to the desk and flipped through the magazines, only to find that they were all ordinary reading materials with nothing special about them.

He then squatted down in front of the plastic basket and rummaged through the clothes inside, trying to find some clues.

Surprisingly, he actually found it.

There seemed to be a hard, card-like object in one of his trouser pockets. He reached into the pocket and pulled out the card, discovering it was an ID card with the name "Sun Zihao" clearly written on it.

Wang Chuan then realized why this place looked somewhat familiar.

"This is the staff dormitory? Is this Sun Zihao's dormitory?" He stood up, holding his ID card, and looked at the bedroom door in surprise. He saw that the structure of this room was exactly the same as the staff dormitory where he lived.

Why didn't the ghost kill him? Why did it bring him to this place?

He walked quickly out of the bedroom, and to his left was the toilet. The toilet door was open, and a mirror was facing it, reflecting Wang Chuan's image. But he didn't have time to look at himself in the mirror; instead, his attention was drawn to the bottles and jars below it.

Although he was a man, he was still able to recognize what these things were.

Toner, face cream, eye cream, foundation, hair removal cream, blush, mascara...

Toner and the like are one thing, but Sun Zihao, a grown man, would use things like mascara and hair removal cream?

Wang Chuan felt increasingly uneasy. He went back to the bedroom and glanced at the pink bedding on the bed, a color that Sun Zihao wouldn't normally use.

He frowned, as if thinking of something, and quickly walked to the wardrobe, pulling open the door. Inside, he saw that the wardrobe was full of women's clothes, mostly skirts and stockings.

Wang Chuan did not suspect that Sun Zihao had a cross-dressing fetish for the time being.

His first thought was that this was actually a woman's place, and that Sun Zihao's clothes were there because he would be spending the night there.

This is not Zhao Shuang's room.

In other words, Sun Zihao, as Zhao Shuang's boyfriend, spent the night in another woman's house, and this woman was also their colleague.

Wang Chuan closed the wardrobe door and walked into the living room.

The living room was furnished in a conventional manner with a gray sofa and a glass coffee table, and it was in the living room that he finally found a clue to the owner of this house.

Several family photos were pasted on the wall above the sofa. Wang Chuan peeked out and saw that the family photos contained a woman and a middle-aged couple.

This young woman looks familiar.

“Jiang Mei?” Wang Chuan found the face in his mind.

Jiang Mei is a colleague of Zhao Shuang and Sun Zihao, and works in the company's finance department.

She was one of the eight missing persons.

It now appears that she was also Sun Zihao's mistress.

Upon seeing this, Wang Chuan suddenly understood the chat history on Xia Jianren's phone when they first entered the instance.

Zhao Shuang questioned Xia Jianren about whether he had known about "that matter" all along, presumably referring to the affair between Sun Zihao and Jiang Mei.

He remembered that Zhao Shuang had recently recalled something, saying that they had argued in the car.

This is probably the issue they're arguing about.

Wang Chuan frowned, a thought forming in his mind: Could it be that Zhao Shuang, knowing about Sun Zihao and Jiang Mei's affair, tampered with the car and deliberately got into an argument with them halfway through the journey so that she could survive while they died?

But there were more than thirty colleagues on the bus at the time who were not involved in the matter. If that's the case, then Zhao Shuang is really terrifying.

The birdsong outside the window pulled Wang Chuan out of his thoughts. He touched the phone that he had been keeping in his pocket; it was almost seven o'clock.

He had his phone with him when he entered the dungeon, and he always carried it with him. Of course, Wang Chuan had already put it on silent mode, afraid that it would ring when it shouldn't.

He had the contact information for several other players in the phone book. After thinking for a moment, he dialed the number.

Cang Yue was somewhat incredulous when she received Wang Chuan's call.

They all knew that Wang Chuan's sudden disappearance was most likely a bad omen, but they never expected to receive a call from him.

The bus had just stopped halfway up the cemetery when the group was getting ready to get off.

Xia Jianren also saw the caller ID on Cang Yue's phone screen. He took a half step back, clutching his fan, and said, "Could it be that Wang Chuan was killed by a ghost, and this call was made by a ghost using his phone?"

Cang Yue had the same thought in mind. She pondered for a while before deciding to answer the call, but when she answered, she held the phone slightly away from her ear, afraid that she might hear some strange noises from the other end.

Unexpectedly, Wang Chuan's voice actually came through the receiver.

"Cang Yue?"

"Wang Chuan? You're still alive?" Cang Yue was also very surprised.

Is anyone else listening to your phone call nearby?

Upon hearing this, Cang Yue realized something. She glanced at the people around her and took a few steps back, saying, "No one can hear what you're saying."

Wang Chuan then continued, "Listen to me, I'm in Jiang Mei's dormitory right now."

Jiang Mei? Cang Yue remembered this name on the list of missing persons.

"I discovered Sun Zihao and Jiang Mei..."

Cang Yue listened quietly to Wang Chuan's account, then glanced at Zhao Shuang, who was staring blankly at the base not far away, seemingly unaware of what was happening here.

She spoke softly into the microphone: "So the accident was very likely related to her?"

“Yes,” Wang Chuan’s voice came through the microphone, “You should be with her now. Be careful. If things are really as I guessed, then this person is too vicious.”

To retaliate against Sun Zihao and Jiang Mei by having the entire company suffer the consequences, was truly vicious.

But if that's really the case, then the way out will be much easier.

The resentment of those ghosts originated from Zhao Shuang; they could only live if Zhao Shuang died.

Cang Yue pressed her hand against her pocket.

"By the way, where are you guys now?" Wang Chuan's voice continued to come from the phone.

Cang Yue looked at the base in the distance: "The cemetery, the place where the police found Zhao Shuang. Gu Mian drove us up here, hoping to trigger Zhao Shuang's memory. Do you want to come?"

Wang Chuan on the other end of the line was silent for a few seconds: "I don't know why the ghost brought me to the staff dormitory but didn't kill me. I want to look for some more clues here. If I find anything, I'll call you. If the phone doesn't go through, I'll send you a text message."

“Okay,” Cang Yue nodded, “Then be careful.”

After saying that, the two ended the call.

At this moment, Xia Jianren approached, holding a small fan in his hand: "Is that Wang Chuan?"

“Yes,” Cang Yue nodded, “he is still alive.”

Cang Yue found it very strange that the ghost hadn't killed him.

Xia Jianren tossed the fan with the advertisement printed on it, which he had brought from the bus, into the car window: "What did he say?"

Cang Yue turned to look at Zhao Shuang in the distance: "He told us to be careful of Zhao Shuang."

But even the most vicious person is afraid of a knife. Once it's verified that Zhao Shuang caused the deaths of those thirty-odd people, she can safely end this instance with a single stab.

Cang Yue guessed that the ghost brought Wang Chuan to Sun Zihao's dormitory so that he could learn the truth.

The base, built halfway up the mountain, consists of a row of small earthen houses with a few tables and chairs inside. Usually, there are not many people here, except for those who are tired from climbing the mountain and will rest here for a while.

Zhao Shuang had already entered the row of small earthen houses, and it seemed that she also wanted to remember what happened that day.

But after watching her try hard to remember for a long time, she still couldn't recall anything.

"I have absolutely no memory of this place." Zhao Shuang clutched her forehead, her head aching, while the others exchanged bewildered glances.

Zhao Shuang got off the bus here, and she never went any further up the road, as the places above probably wouldn't trigger her memories.

"Why don't we go up a little further?" Xia Jianren suggested. "Maybe we can find something at the place where the car crashed. Besides, there are still a few people missing, so maybe we can find clues about them."

There was no other way, and everyone agreed.

It was already completely light, and there were more people hiking on the mountain. In order not to cause a commotion, Gu Mian had already driven the bus to a secluded place and hidden it.

If you want to continue upwards from here, you'll have to walk.

Fortunately, a cement main road has been built on this mountain, so climbing it isn't too tiring.

Meanwhile, Wang Chuan had already finished searching Jiang Mei's house. Now he stood at Zhao Shuang's door again. They had fled in a hurry last night and hadn't had time to close the door, so it was still open, making it convenient for him to go in and investigate.

He carefully pushed open the door and searched the room thoroughly, trying to find any clues related to Sun Zihao and Jiang Mei.

But after searching thoroughly, they found nothing.

He did find a fan with an advertisement for "curing kidney deficiency" printed on it, and he fell into deep thought as he looked at the pile of useless things in front of him.

"It's been twelve hours now." Xia Jianren looked up at the brightening sky.

A third of the mission time has already passed, and there are still twenty-four hours to endure.

If they can find a way to survive, the next 24 hours will not be so agonizing for them.

Climbing mountains is physically demanding. Before they even reached the place where the bus overturned, the group was already panting heavily and unable to walk any further. Fortunately, there was a pavilion ahead, so they stopped and planned to rest there for a while.

They had originally planned to discuss their next steps, but unexpectedly, a man with graying hair was sitting in the pavilion, so they could only keep quiet and rest.

What to do when the author never updates? Just give them a good beating.
