Chapter 401: Qi 8 hexagrams, the use of Yin and Yang.

Chapter 401 Qi Bagua, the use of Yin and Yang.

Kunpeng, who came from later generations, naturally knew that in order to achieve mutual benefit and a win-win situation, he had to please the other party.

And it just so happened that he knew almost everything about the development of Fuxi and his sister, so he would be able to speak to their hearts, making them feel itchy and difficult not to be tempted.

Kunpeng smiled and said, "I have some ideas, let me tell you, you guys just listen~"

"One yin and one yang is called Tao, and the meaning of yin and yang matches the sun and the moon! The application of the changes of yin and yang in the calendar is the cycle of seasons~"

"For example, the 'four seasons and eight festivals', the four seasons are spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the transition of yin and yang. The change of climate is the result of the interaction of yin and yang. Yin is cold, and yang is hot. The interaction of yin and yang in the universe causes alternation, which is reflected in the change of seasons. Summer is hot, pure yang; winter is cold, pure yin.

Yang and Yin grow and decline in response to each other. In spring, Yang grows and Yin declines. When Yang reaches its peak, it is the summer solstice. Then the situation reverses, with Yin gradually rising and Yang declining. When Yin reaches its peak, it is the winter solstice. At this time, the situation reverses again, with Yang rising and Yin declining, completing a cycle of alternation.

“Spring and summer are yang, and autumn and winter are yin. Spring belongs to Shaoyang, which is the yang within the yin; summer belongs to Taiyang, which is the yang within the yang; autumn belongs to Shaoyin, which is the yin within the yang; and winter belongs to Taiyin, which is the yin within the yin.”

“The so-called eight solar terms are: Beginning of Spring, Beginning of Summer, Beginning of Autumn, Beginning of Winter, Vernal Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumnal Equinox, and Winter Solstice.”

“The two solstices are the extremes of cold and heat; the two equinoxes are the harmony of yin and yang; the four solar terms are the beginnings of growth and storage; these are the eight solar terms.”

"The heart of Tao is all spoken and silent, and the four seasons and eight festivals follow the yin and yang!"

"There are also things like the 24 solar terms, 12 hours, the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, etc., which contain the changes of yin and yang, and involve many great principles such as celestial phenomena, astrology, yin and yang, the five elements, the calendar, and numerology. They coexist with each other and are profound and infinite. Even if you spend your entire life, you still wouldn't dare to say that you know them all!"

Fuxi and Nuwa were fascinated by what they heard. Although they also knew about the changes in seasons and weather, they had not discovered and organized them in such detail, nor had they systematically summarized and integrated them into the theory of Yin and Yang.

In fact, Fuxi, who later became the emperor of mankind and created the calendar, also benefited greatly from this. He felt something in his heart, and his intuition told him that this matter (calendar solar terms) was of great importance and would be of great use in the future, so he listened very carefully.

Kunpeng only briefly talked about the 24 solar terms, the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, the Qi Men Dun Jia, etc., and then said something else.

(These are also divided into yin and yang, so I won’t go into details)

Fuxi was itching to learn more, as he knew Kunpeng had reservations. He also knew that this path was too broad to be mastered in a short period of time.

Kunpeng said again: "I have comprehended a principle, called 'Eight Trigrams'!"

He simply pointed to the sky with one hand and drew a (postnatal) Bagua diagram in the air.

(The post-natal Bagua is the Bagua of Luoshu, also known as King Wen's Bagua, with Kan water and Li fire on the top and bottom. The pre-natal Bagua is Qian and Kun on the top and bottom.)

The north is Kan water, the south is Li fire, the east is Zhen wood, the west is Dui metal, the northeast is Gen earth, the southwest is Kun earth, the southeast is Xun wood, and the northwest is Qian metal.

In the air, the Postnatal Bagua diagram shines brightly and appears vividly.

The Eight Trigrams symbolize heaven, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain and marsh, and represent different natural phenomena and changes.

The Eight Trigrams are also divided into two groups of yin and yang: Qian, Zhen, Kan and Gen are the four yang trigrams, and Kun, Xun, Li and Dui are the four yin trigrams.

The interaction between these four yangs and four yins, and the two forces of yin and yang, is the source of all things.

While Fuxi was greatly surprised, he also felt a sense of déjà vu. He seemed to be in a trance, as if time and space were confused.

(In fact, Fuxi created the innate eight trigrams based on the [Hetu], which means Qian and Kun up and down, and the four fours correspond to yin and yang)
