Reboot the heyday

Often, the breakdown of relationships between people is not intentional.

In the heat of the moment, a few careless words might lead to something irreversible.

But with Wang Taika, this is highly unlikely to happen. Because he can genuinely pretend nothing's wrong. So sometimes, it's necessary to be a little shameless.

The car passed the last intersection.

They remained silent the rest of the way until they finally arrived.

Wang Taika parked the car downstairs at Liu Renna's house and turned off the engine. The car fell silent instantly, with only the sound of their breathing.

Liu Renna unbuckled her seatbelt but didn't get out of the car immediately. She sat in her seat, staring at the windshield, seemingly lost in thought.

“Wang Taika”.

"Ah."

“In the future…” Yoo In-na paused, “If Ji-eun isn’t here anymore, will you still take me home?” Wang Tai-ka turned to look at Yoo In-na. The streetlights shone through the car window, casting half-light and half-shadow on her face.

"No," Wang Taika said firmly.

"Okay." Yoo In-na nodded and prepared to open the car door.

Wang Taika replied, "If Ji-eun isn't here, I won't let you go. Want to go home? You'll have to wait until at least tomorrow, right?"

Liu Renna laughed at the sight of him, and looked at Wang Taika: "I was actually a little disappointed just now, but after hearing what you said next, I feel that being disappointed is also a good thing."

Wang Taika glanced down at the time.

As if telepathically understanding each other, Liu Renna said, "No, don't even think about going up! Go back and keep Ji-eun company first. Don't expect to rest at my house for a few hours. Don't do this, really, there will be plenty of time later, I... I won't refuse you!"

Wang Taika gasped, "I didn't say anything!"

Wang Taika grinned: "Okay, I understand."

"You little brat, you don't know anything!" Liu Renna didn't believe her and cursed before preparing to get off the bus.

However, after pausing and smiling, Yoo In-na came over and kissed Wang Tai-ka before finally getting out of the car.

Wang Taika was stunned: "What are you doing?"

“I always have to give you something in return, otherwise you won’t be so nice to me.” Liu Renna smiled, a hint of loneliness flashing in her eyes: “I have to give you something to care about, otherwise you will definitely let me down, because that’s the kind of person you are.”

Wang Taika actually wanted to be more authoritative, but after things reached this point, he had no leverage left.

"Next time." Yoo In-na also thought back for a moment and said, "I really want to have a proper one too. It's been a long time since I've been in a relationship, and I'm actually really looking forward to that kind of thing."

"Really." Yoo In-na pushed open the car door and got out.

A night breeze blew, ruffling Liu Renna's hair. She stood outside the car window, bent down, and looked at Wang Taika inside.

Wang Taika laughed: "You're an accomplice too, aren't you?"

Wang Taika shook his head speechlessly.

Liu Renna straightened up and waved to Wang Taika: "Be careful on the road."

Wang Taika sat in the car, watching Liu Renna's figure disappear through the door, before starting the car and turning around to drive back.

On the way back, Wang Taika suddenly realized that things were actually quite good this way. Because not all relationships need a clear definition. Not all feelings need an ending. Contentment is a kind of wisdom.

No arguing, no fighting, no need to be tormented by the relationship. For some people, it's enough to meet occasionally, exchange a few words, and do some childish things together. (End of Chapter)
