Reboot the heyday

Last night was crazy.

It's hard to go into details, but it was just crazy.

The next morning, while Ji-eun was still asleep, Wang Taika had already woken up.

Feeling a slight ache in his back, Wang Taika quietly got up. The blanket slipped onto the floor, but he bent down to pick it up and covered Ji-eun with it again.

Ji-eun was exhausted. She turned over, mumbled something, and fell into a deep sleep again.

Last night, Ji-eun slept with Wang Taika as her pillow all night. When she woke up this morning, her arms and legs felt numb, and she walked with a limp, like a penguin that had just learned to walk.

"That's the trouble of happiness."

Wang Taika felt a little heavy-headed, so he went to the bathroom to wash his face and looked at himself in the mirror.

When I got back, I saw Ji-eun squinting, already awake: "Are you leaving?"

Wang Taika said, "No, there's no rush."

"It's okay, you can go ahead." Ji-eun closed her eyes again: "I need to rest, you go ahead with your work."

Wang Taika was so angry he laughed.

What does it mean to use someone and then discard them? Ji-eun is clearly taking advantage of me. Yesterday I was showering her with sweet words, and after I made her happy last night, now that she's had her fun, she's trying to get rid of me?

Wang Taika originally wanted to take a nap, but Ji-eun's words stimulated him to get back to his senses.

Ji-eun didn't care about any of that and continued to sleep soundly, hugging her pillow. She was already exhausted yesterday, and she had already vented her longing in the most direct way, so she didn't care about anything else and just wanted to make herself feel better first.

I have to say, Ji-eun is really carefree.

Since Ji-eun is already like this, Wang Taika won't be coy anymore. He's not sleeping very well here either. Although he can hold Ji-eun, the bed is just too soft for him to sleep on.

So Wang Taika changed his clothes, grabbed his car keys, and went out.

The morning air in Seoul was cool and crisp. Wang Taika drove towards Gangnam, and halfway there, he remembered something: maybe he should go find Yoo In-na.

Yesterday's farewell was rather abrupt. Now that I've calmed Ji-eun down, I'll go visit her. I'll make sure everyone gets their share.

Wang Taika thought for a moment, then turned around and drove towards Liu Renna's house.

He knew the way well, but because there were other cars in the morning, it took Wang Taika about forty minutes to arrive at Liu Renna's building.

After parking his car, Wang Taika went upstairs as usual and rang the doorbell.

No one answered.

Wang Taika pressed the button again, but still no one answered. Finally, he took out his phone to call, but Liu Renna still didn't answer. This was rather strange.

The person has disappeared and is not answering the phone.

Wang Taika took out his phone, found Yoo In-na's Kakao account, and sent a message: "Where are you?"

Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, is Yoo In-na's home. But Wang Tai-ka was actually seeing this for the first time. He stared at the words for a few seconds, then suddenly understood: Yoo In-na was doing it on purpose. Of course, Yoo In-na wasn't trying to push him away; she was giving them both some time to process things.

This woman is really smart. She knows what would happen if Wang Taika went upstairs last night and the two of them were alone in a room.

There was nothing I could do; the atmosphere last night was just too good, so good that it made it easy to make mistakes.

If that's really the case, then all three of us will feel terrible today. Not physically, but psychologically. That inexplicable sense of guilt will be like a thorn stuck between us, impossible to remove or ignore.

Some things aren't that I don't want to do them, but that I shouldn't. At least, I shouldn't do them while Ji-eun is asleep.

Wang Taika was shameless enough, but Yoo In-na still had psychological baggage. So Yoo In-na chose to leave temporarily.

She's not really leaving, just temporarily. In a few days, once those emotions have subsided and everything returns to normal, she'll naturally come back. This isn't escapism, but restraint. It's not rejection, but protection. Protecting Ji-eun, protecting herself, and even protecting Wang Tai-ka.

Wang Taika suddenly smiled at this thought. Even if this was a ploy to lure her in, Liu Renna's tactic was indeed much more sophisticated.

Leaning against the wall in the corridor, looking at the message, Wang Taika sighed.

Liu Renna may seem carefree and easygoing, but she's actually more perceptive than anyone else. She knows what kind of person Wang Taika is and where she stands in his heart. She doesn't fight for anything, doesn't cry or make a fuss, and doesn't even need any promises.

But she has her own bottom line. Ji-eun is her bottom line.

Wang Taika read the message again and then typed: "Okay, be careful."

The message had been read, but there was no reply this time. Wang Taika put his phone in his pocket, turned around, and went downstairs.

It's really embarrassing to admit, but Wang Taika originally wanted to find out how firm Yoo In-na's bed was. It seems he won't have the chance now.

This truly demonstrates Yoo In-na's resourcefulness; she accurately predicted that Wang Tai-ka would definitely come the next day, so she ran away.

Wang Taika's sleepiness vanished instantly. After thinking it over, he decided to go straight to work. It had been a long time since he'd been to the office; hopefully, he could find a moment of respite on the company sofa.

When Wang Tai arrived, the young woman at the front desk was eating snacks. When she saw him come in, she almost choked and hurriedly stood up: "Good morning, Mr. Wang!"

"Good morning." Wang Taika nodded, pretending not to see, and walked inside.

It was getting late, and some people were already working in the company. In the office I passed by, several employees from the planning department were discussing something around a whiteboard. When they saw Wang Taika pass by, they all paused for a moment, and then greeted him in unison.

Wang Taika waved his hand, signaling them to continue, and walked towards his office.

Wang Taika entered the elevator and then started to feel sleepy. Ji-eun's bed was too soft; he couldn't sleep well at all. Of course, he hadn't slept at all last night.

After all, XB Entertainment is no longer the small company it once was, but a genuine large company. Where there are people, there is a social hierarchy, so naturally, XB Entertainment has its own set of internal unspoken rules.

On his way to the office, Wang Taika saw a figure with a decent figure standing in front of the coffee machine. The figure was tall and straight, wearing a simple black knit sweater and jeans, with her hair tied in a low ponytail, revealing her slender neck.

She was probably a beautiful woman, but Wang Taika didn't pay attention. He could tell from her back that he didn't know her, so he continued walking.

However, after taking only a few steps, he heard the woman's voice behind him.
