Chapter 2870 The Luxurious Epang Palace

Soon, Lin Mu and the others gathered in front of a pit.

“My lord, it wasn’t me who destroyed the source, but rather the source itself that disappeared,” Taishi Ci said solemnly.

“My lord, based on my rudimentary understanding of formations, those ghost soldiers may be connected to some of the rules and powers of this world… However, I have a feeling that this tomb is very simple… very basic… as if it were a preliminary work.” Wu Ba stepped forward and said in a deep voice.

"It seems something's happened on the dragon vein, and it's affecting this place, even the so-called phase space..."

“This place is becoming increasingly dangerous, and it could collapse at any moment… That’s why Yuan Shao and Yuan Shu made such a decisive retreat.” Lin Mu nodded and said slowly upon hearing this.

Just then, a strange fluctuation suddenly appeared.

After sensing it for a moment, Lin Mu's expression hardened slightly.

"So, the late Emperor Liu Hong had been working hard all along... What a pity." The fluctuation just now conveyed a lot of information, which shocked Lin Mu.

It turns out that he risked the unseen and unfathomable dangers of venturing into the Endless Sea to search for the dragon vein of Yizhou Island, only to be absorbed into this phase space by Liu Hong. The fluctuation just now was the suction force of the dragon vein's origin, transmitting information to this person within the causal loop.

"If the dragon vein on Yizhou Island is dug away, this space will collapse!"

"The national treasury and other assets... will all vanish into thin air!"

"And that dragon vein is gradually converging into the ancestral dragon vein... What Dong Zhuo and his group want to migrate is that ancestral dragon vein, that is, the divine and demonic vein... That dragon vein is not Dong Zhuo and his group's target..."

"Hmph! So the message was meant to get me involved and tainted by the consequences..." Lin Mu wasn't stupid, and he immediately understood their true intentions.

He never left, wasn't he also trying to get involved in the karma... After all, he's always been caught up in the web of cause and effect!
The dragon vein's essence essentially gave him a mission... to stop Dong Zhuo!
"Buzz!~~~~" Just then, that strange fluctuation rippled out again.

After sensing this, Lin Mu slowly closed his eyes.

He didn't know how much time had passed when Huang Zhong's voice rang in his ears: "My lord!!"

"My lord, are you alright?"

It turned out that while Lin Mu had his eyes closed, his body was trembling slightly, which was unusual.

Lin Mu slowly opened his eyes, his face filled with excitement. His body trembled slightly, not because of any physical problem, but because of excitement—he had 'seen' so many things!!!

……

Just as Lin Mu was leading his men to quickly collect the precious resources within the Epang Palace, the feudal lords in other places were all looking towards the direction of the capital, Luoyang, as if sensing something.

Even Yuan Shao and Yuan Shu, who had just withdrawn from Luoyang, the capital, turned around and looked back at the capital.

The various feudal lords had sensed the dragon vein of Luoyang, the capital city, but unlike Lin Mu, they did not continue to participate. The loss of the dragon vein was a loss for the Liu family, the imperial family of the Han Dynasty, and had nothing to do with them.

As long as the dragon vein remains within the territory of the Divine Land, its migration is not a problem for them... In fact, it is a good thing for them, because it will further weaken the power and fortune of the Great Han Dynasty... The omen of the Divine Deer holding the Crimson Sky Divine Sword has already appeared. If they do not take a chance, they will have lived in vain!

Yuan Shao reined in his horse, gazing at the familiar city walls of Luoyang, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.

Yuan Shu, standing beside him, was even more direct, his face beaming with undisguised excitement. He said in a deep voice, "The dragon veins are churning, the city-states are in turmoil, and fortunes are fluctuating wildly... The Liu family's fate is sealed! Yuan Benchu, this is a golden opportunity! The divine deer carrying the sword should belong to my Yuan family!"

Yuan Shao frowned slightly. Though he remained silent, the tight grip on his riding whip betrayed the turmoil in his heart. He thought of Dong Zhuo's chaotic rule and the relocation of the capital to Chang'an, which had already caused Luoyang to lose its cultural heritage, leaving its people displaced, its officials in mourning, its systems collapsing, and its order in disarray. Now, with the loss of the imperial lineage, the very foundation of the Han Dynasty was likely to be utterly shaken.

He took a deep breath, and the long-dormant ambition in his heart, like a dormant volcano, began to stir.

The suggestion Xun Chen had given him came to mind: replace Han Fu and take control of Ji Province!
Next, we should work towards this goal!

Yuan Shao snorted coldly, then spurred his horse, and the warhorse galloped away. Yuan Shao led his troops north, leaving Sili.

Watching Yuan Shao's departing figure, Yuan Shu, who had been somewhat arrogant, showed a touch of sadness and a hint of emotion on his face.

Perhaps... we'll never meet again... Will we be enemies next time we meet?!

With this in mind, Yuan Shu sped up his pace, leading his troops south...

Meanwhile, the feudal lords in other places also had different thoughts.

……

“Let’s go… I know where the real treasure of the Epang Palace is!” Lin Mu said in a deep voice.

Without waiting for anyone else's response, he turned around and changed direction.

He walked back the way he came.

Seeing this, everyone followed in confusion.

Soon, Lin Mu and the others returned to the location where they had been teleported through the red-lacquered gate.

Then, Lin Mu continued walking in the direction behind where he had been standing...

"This...this...could it be that we took the wrong path before?" Huang Zhong was extremely surprised to see that his lord Lin Mu had walked out of the new path without encountering any obstacles.

Previously, the road was only in front of us, because there was a dragon's body, as well as a barrier and ghost soldiers blocking the way, as if they were protecting the treasure behind us.

Little did I know, the real treasure was right behind me... a classic case of being blind to what's right under your nose!

Lin Mu walked ahead, looking at the faint mist around him, his face full of emotion... Everyone was attracted by what was in front of them, but forgot that there was also a road behind them!

If it weren't for the prompt, he would have continued down that road under the charge of Huang Zhong and Taishi Ci.

After walking for a while, a strange feeling of weightlessness came over him. The next moment, his vision suddenly changed. The surrounding mist disappeared, and dazzling lights appeared, causing Lin Mu to close his eyes.

At the same time, he also smelled a strange fragrance!

At the same time, a system notification sounded in Lin Mu's ear:

"Ding!" "System notification: Dragon Lord Lin Mu, you have arrived at the main hall of Emperor Ling of Han's tomb palace."

The path we just walked on was the real way to the main hall of the tomb!

Behind them, figures such as Huang Zhong, Taishi Ci, and Wu Ba appeared one after another.

Then, when they opened their eyes, they couldn't help but gasp at the aroma!
Before them lay a vast space, its exact size beyond their immediate estimation, but undeniably immense. Within it were pools of other spiritual waters, shrouded in a faint mist. The incredibly dense spiritual energy enveloped them, causing their pores to open and their cultivation techniques to involuntarily accelerate.

"This is the real Epang Palace!!" Lin Mu, Huang Zhong, and others exclaimed in unison.

Deep within the main hall, which must be the main hall of the Epang Palace, a hundred-foot-high jade staircase winds its way up, with bronze cranes carrying candles that burn day and night, illuminating the treasures throughout the hall in a dazzling and surreal way.

On the ground, which was covered with countless chapters of crimson dragons, golden light shone brightly. Within the golden light, a golden dragon shadow soared and tumbled.

That is a dragon of destiny, a strange phenomenon that occurs when destiny becomes abundant to a certain degree.

Extending from the depths, a row of peculiar coral jade trees stood like a forest, the larger ones over ten feet tall and several spans in circumference, the smaller ones still about half a person's height, their branches adorned with bright pearls the size of pigeon eggs, shimmering with iridescent light under the candlelight.

On both sides of the hall are rows of hundreds of golden pillars with coiled dragons, wrapped with pearl necklaces as thick as bowls. Each necklace is made up of a hundred or eighty other sea pearls strung together, which tinkle when they fall to the ground, creating a clear and melodious sound when they collide with the crystal curtains hanging between the beams and pillars.

Some of the dragon-carved golden pillars have thin threads hanging from them, from which hang countless jade chimes and chimes, all carved from ninth-grade azure jade and ninth-grade Nanyang jadeite. A gentle touch produces a clear and melodious sound like heavenly music.

Twenty ancient swords were displayed along a narrow strip of fabric in the corridor. The scabbards were wrapped in unknown animal hides and inlaid with various gemstones. Three of the swords were three feet and seven inches long, with unique gemstones the size of pigeon eggs inlaid on their guards. The tassels were woven from colorful silk threads and adorned with gold ornaments in the shape of the Big Dipper at the ends.

The three longswords look very similar, as if they were forged from the same mold. However, the Big Dipper-shaped gold ornaments on them are slightly different, with one star on each sword being particularly dazzling.

Twenty ancient swords, each exuding a sharp aura, were at least of the Heavenly Rank!
Even Huang Zhong, who rarely used swords, was deeply attracted by these precious swords.

Then there were rows of jade platforms.

On the jade platform to the east, dozens of gilded censers emit wisps of smoke. The rubies and cat's-eye stones inlaid between the coiled dragon patterns on the censers swirl with the smoke, dyeing the surrounding Hetian white jade screen with the color of clouds.

Beneath the jade platform was a peculiar screen depicting mountains and rivers, clearly no ordinary object.

Behind him are twelve bronze square tripods, their bodies inlaid with turquoise and lapis lazuli in the shape of taotie patterns, and filled with luminous pearls whose light can reflect one's eyebrows.

Beside the tripod stand two rows of gilded long tables, on which are stacked rows of jade cong and bi discs. The blue bi discs are used to worship heaven, and the yellow cong discs are used to worship earth. All of them are carved from a single piece of mutton-fat white jade, with cinnabar stains showing on the edges, indicating that they were precious sacrificial objects in ancient times.

I don't know if it's Celestial or Divine... but it definitely can't be Earthly!!!

On the west side of the jade platform, dozens of red lacquered wooden cabinets are lined up in a row. The cabinet doors are inlaid with whole pieces of transparent crystal, and inside are neatly stacked gold-woven brocade and Western Region carpets. Among them is a Shu brocade with a phoenix pattern that is more than three zhang long. The phoenix woven with gold and silver threads is lifelike, and the wings are adorned with tiny pearls and malachite, which flow like a rainbow in the light.

These are incredibly precious royal silk artifacts, all tailored by master tailors or above, and each possesses unique attributes!
Although the Great Wilderness Territory also has silk fabrics, and even uses them to make ropes to tie people up, its foundation is no match for what it currently possesses!
The items that Liu Hong specially placed here are not low-level mortals.

Looking further, one sees a row of exquisitely carved ivory towers stacked on top of the cabinet. Each of the thirteen towers has openwork windows, inside which is a jade Buddha about an inch tall, its body inlaid with diamonds the size of grains of rice.

In the center of the many exquisite pagodas, there is a Sumeru pedestal upon which stands a seven-story glazed pagoda.

Although it has only seven stories, it is two feet and three inches taller than the thirteen-story Linglong Pagoda.

The pagoda is constructed of blue transparent glazed tiles, with golden bells hanging from the eaves of each level. Inside, a pure gold reclining Buddha is enshrined, its eyes inlaid with pigeon-blood rubies. The Buddha's body is covered with hundreds of layers of gossamer gauze, on which scriptures are woven from peacock tail feathers. In a copper dish in front of the pagoda, pearls about an inch in diameter are filled with dewdrops that roll under the candlelight, refracting tiny specks of light, like a cascading Milky Way.

A faint Buddha figure appeared and disappeared...

This object was so wondrous that even Lin Mu felt a strange sense of immersion in it.

This is testament to Liu Hong's love for Buddhism and Taoism.

To be honest, Liu Hong rarely reveals his Buddhist and Taoist insights to outsiders, but his special research into, and even his acquisition of, such a precious Buddhist artifact through unknown channels, clearly indicates that he has grand ambitions!
Lin Mu took a deep look at the jade Buddhas and the seven-story glazed pagoda...

Further along, behind those wooden cabinets, was a row of side halls without doors.

Inside each of the side halls, various items emitting a faint glow were neatly stacked. Some were dark, indistinct pieces of gold and white ore, and others were pieces of wood...

Upon closer inspection, there were at least eighteen side halls in that row, each filled with various supplies.

Lin Mu glanced at it briefly, then his pupils suddenly contracted.

That dark substance was actually ninth-grade ambergris!

The ore radiating golden light is the ninth-tier special attribute ore, Purple Universe Gold Crystal!
It glows white and is very valuable; it is a ninth-order special mineral space crystal!
These are all precious resources that exist in the Great Wilderness Territory, and there are quite a few of them, but you can never have too many.

Afterwards, Lin Mu discovered a lot of building materials for the distanceless teleportation array... At a glance, he estimated that he could build at least a hundred more distanceless teleportation arrays!
Further along are various resource warehouses, totaling over a thousand on both sides, stretching all the way out, with resources piled up inside that are at least of the eighth rank or higher!
Forty percent is ore, forty percent is timber, and twenty percent is other resources.

This is the real national treasury!

"It seems that the Ten Attendants' treasury assets were just what Liu Hong had left over..." Lin Mu thought with deep emotion.

Later, many more side halls appeared, but they were filled with gold coins.

Gold coins are actually the least valuable, but hoarding them here might have other purposes...

Further on, there were the pools of spiritual water that Lin Mu and the others had seen!

Upon closer inspection, there are eighteen pools... some are emerald green, some are blood red, some are yellowish-green, some are milky white... and so on!

There were no military weapons or armor among the supplies here; not even a flag or a set of armor was seen. As for the twenty ancient swords, judging from their purpose, they were clearly not intended for use as weapons, but rather for ceremonial or collectible purposes!
Also, there are no illustrations or blueprints...

There were no ancient books, bamboo slips, or paper items...

The entire palace is like a living treasure trove, its jewels gleaming so brightly they seem to reach for the heavens. Even in broad daylight, it is dazzling and mesmerizing.
