Chapter 5017 5020 [The Hobbit]

Chapter 5017 5020 [The Hobbit]

Kili and Tauriel come from the world of The Hobbit, but they also belong to the world of The Lord of the Rings.

This world was created by the famous British writer John Tolkien. It is an extremely grand and detailed fictional world.

There are many strange races in this world, such as the elves with extremely high appearance, outstanding temperament, and good at fighting; the dwarves with stubborn personalities, exquisite craftsmanship, and indomitable spirit; the simple, kind, hardworking, capable, and righteous humans; the tree people who are close to nature, love trees, and hate killing; the ferocious, brutal, sinister, bloodthirsty, and ugly orcs...

There are many thrilling and magnificent stories, such as the angry war between the great demon king Melkor and the Valar; the Battle of Five Armies led by Thorin Oakenshield; the Battle of Helm's Deep led by Aragorn and the King of Rohan, and Frodo and Sam finally arrived at the Mordor volcano after going through untold hardships and burned the Lord of the Rings...

The original novel of The Lord of the Rings was published from the 1930s to the 1950s. After its publication, it caused a great sensation worldwide and was known as the Western Journey to the West.

In the American TV series "Friends", when Ross heard Joey say that he had never read "The Lord of the Rings", he was very surprised, which shows how famous this book is.

Because "The Lord of the Rings" caused a huge sensation and sold well all over the world, it set off a craze for fantasy novels, games, film and television dramas in the Western world.

For example, the famous "Dungeons & Dragons" board game, the "Baldur's Gate" series of video games, the "Neverwinter Nights" series of video games, the novels "Dragonlance Chronicles" and "Dark Elves", etc., were all inspired by "The Lord of the Rings".

Even "Diablo", "World of Warcraft", "Warhammer" and so on are. It can be said that "The Lord of the Rings" is the ancestor of Western fantasy novels and is undoubtedly a classic.

……

According to the chronicles of "The Lord of the Rings", a long, long time ago, the omniscient and omnipotent god Ilúvatar created the planet Arda in the void, and created the upper gods Valar and the lower gods Maia who assisted the Valar.

Ilúvatar also created two kinds of creatures, elves and humans, and let them live on the planet Arda. In order to protect and guide them, the Valar and the Maiar were sent to the planet Arda.

Aulë, the god of creation, created a race called dwarves without authorization, which caused dissatisfaction from Ilúvatar. When Aulë was forced to kill his own creations, the dwarves were so scared that they cried and begged for mercy.

Ilúvatar therefore pardoned them and gave them free will with the secret fire, but required them to sleep until the elves awoke.

Later, Melkor, one of the Valar, fell and attempted to seize all of Arda.

His fall was supported by some Maia, such as Sauron, the final boss of The Lord of the Rings, Gothmog, the Lord of the Fire, Ancalagon, the King of Dragons, Zhagrulin, the ancestor of the wolf, Ungoliant, the ancestor of the giant spider, etc.

The other Valar and Maiar, together with the Elves, Men, and Dwarves, fought many battles with the armies of Melkor, and finally defeated Melkor and banished him to the Void, which is outer space.

After Melkor's defeat, his lieutenant Sauron inherited his will and still tried to control the entire Arda.

However, he is just a Maia and his strength is not strong, so after experiencing several failures, he chose to develop in a humble way.

He disguised himself as an elf and worked with the elf craftsman Celebrimbor to forge nineteen rings.

Nine of them were given to the most powerful and wisest human leaders; seven were given to the leaders of the seven dwarf tribes; and three were given to the leaders of the elves.

Sauron himself secretly forged a supreme ring in Mount Doom in Mordor. He poured most of his magic power into this ring, giving it the ability to control the other 19 rings.

The weak-willed human leaders were the first to fall and became the nine Ringwraiths, who were at his service from then on. However, the elves and dwarves were more resistant to the Ring and did not fall into his servants.

However, the dwarves became more stubborn and greedy, and eventually they became enemies with the elves, their allies. The elves no longer dared to use the power of the ring recklessly.

In this way, Sauron was able to disintegrate the alliance of humans, elves, and dwarves. He took the opportunity to organize a large army to capture cities and kill people everywhere. Faced with this threat, humans, elves, and dwarves finally united and defeated Sauron.

But the human leader Isildur could not resist the temptation of the One Ring and failed to throw it into Mount Doom to destroy it in time, which resulted in Sauron not being completely destroyed.

The shadow of darkness still looms over Arda.

Dark forces continue to gather, including the evil dragon Smaug.

It was originally a subordinate of Sauron. After Sauron was defeated, it fled everywhere and finally occupied Erebor, the capital of the Durin Dwarves at the foot of the Lonely Mountain.

……

Kili is the nephew of Thorin Oakenshield, descendant of the Dwarf King of Lonely Mountain.

This group of dwarves originally lived in the Lonely Mountain, where they built the city of Erebor in the belly of the mountain and lived side by side with the human city-state of Riverdale, helping each other.

The dwarves dug hard in the mountains and dug out a lot of gold, silver, copper and iron. They traded with humans and elves not far away, had a harmonious relationship with them, and accumulated a lot of wealth.

But one day the evil dragon Smaug came to the Lonely Mountain, destroyed the town of Dale, invaded Erebor, and drove the dwarves out of their homes.

The dwarves were forced to flee from their homes. During this period, they tried to regain their lost territory, but the dwarf king Thrain II disappeared, and the dwarf ring was lost along with it.

As the legitimate son of Thráin II, Thorin Oakenshield inherited the throne and sought a way to retake Erebor. As his nephew, Kili naturally supported his uncle's initiative.

So one hundred and seventy years later, with the help of the wizard Gandalf, they gathered thirteen dwarves and a hobbit and set out for Lonely Mountain.

Along the way, they went through many hardships and finally arrived at the Lonely Mountain. In the process, they came into conflict with the elves in the Mirkwood, and Kili fell in love with one of the elves, Tauriel.

Eventually they escaped from Mirkwood, and with the help of the humans of Lake-town, they killed the dragon Smaug and recaptured the Lonely Mountain.

Later, with the help of reinforcements from humans, elves, and Iron Hill dwarves, they engaged in a fierce battle with the savage orcs, a battle known in history as the "Battle of Five Armies."

In the Battle of Five Armies, Thorin Oakenshield, Kili, and his brother Fili died, and Erebor was inherited by Thorin's cousin Dain Ironfoot.

A few decades later, the story of The Lord of the Rings trilogy began.

It tells the story of Frodo, Sam, Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Gandalf and others who went to Mount Doom in Mordor to destroy the One Ring.

……

Generally speaking, neither "The Hobbit" nor "The Lord of the Rings" is difficult for Xiang Nan.

Smaug, the final boss of "The Hobbit", is just a giant lizard with a flying head; Sauron, the final boss of "The Lord of the Rings", is just a weak god who couldn't even defeat the sacred dog Juan at his peak.

Xiang Nan had killed gods many times before, so he was not afraid of this kind of weak little god.

His strength was enough to rival that of Ilúvatar, the god who created the world of Arda. He took on this mission because he wanted to meet Ilúvatar and discuss the creation of the world with him.
