Chapter 12 Finding the Child
It was already 12:30. Luo Dashu had brought his own lunch, so Yang Nianqing asked him to watch her stall while she went to find something to eat. Yang Nianqing found a small restaurant and ordered two dishes. Two men were sitting at the next table.

Qin Zixin grasped Zhao Wen's hand, which was resting on the table: "Have you really set a wedding date?"

Zhao Wen patted Qin Zixin's hand: "You have to understand me."

At this moment, Wang Xiaolan walked in from the door: "What are you talking about, Zixin?"

Zhao Wen calmly withdrew his hand and said, "We were talking about why it took you so long to buy water."

Qin Zixin nodded and jokingly asked Wang Xiaolan, "Did you see some handsome guy?"

Wang Xiaolan sat down and handed bottled water to Qin Zixin and Zhao Wen: "No, I was just watching someone's fortune telling. The fortune teller was quite accurate, and he left the person speechless, hahaha."

Zhao Wen chuckled and shook his head: "You."

Wang Xiaolan gave Zhao Wen a playful smile, while Qin Zixin watched them with a smile, only the tightly clenched hands under the table betraying his inner turmoil.

Wang Xiaolan said to them, "Let's go." As she stood up and turned around, her bag accidentally knocked over someone's chopsticks, causing them to fall to the ground. Wang Xiaolan quickly picked up the chopsticks, saying, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

Yang Nianqing took the chopsticks and put them aside: "It's alright, but Miss, it's better for girls to be more careful. Look, you didn't even notice that your boyfriend's sleeve was torn and almost broke off if you pulled too hard."

"what?"

"Hey, it really is! I didn't even notice." Zhao Wen raised his hand and looked, and indeed found a hole. It was probably accidentally broken when he took Qin Zixin's cigarette to stop him from smoking. This girl's claim that it was about to break was too exaggerated. It seems she has a bad temper and was indirectly criticizing Wang Xiaolan for making her drop her chopsticks.

Yang Nianqing smiled at them, got up to get some water, and whispered as he passed Wang Xiaolan, "Think carefully about what I said." His voice was very soft, but strangely, Wang Xiaolan heard him clearly. Wang Xiaolan was taken aback.

"What's wrong?" Zhao Wen asked, puzzled as he saw Wang Xiaolan lost in thought.

Wang Xiaolan smiled at him and said, "It's nothing, Zhao Wen, Zixin, let's go." The three of them then walked out of the restaurant.

Wang Xiaolan glanced back at Yang Nianqing, thinking carefully about what she meant by her words.
Yang Nianqing didn't care what Wang Xiaolan thought after reminding her. She composed herself, poured herself a glass of water, changed her chopsticks, and continued waiting for her food to be served.

After the food was served, Yang Nianqing tasted it and found it quite delicious and hygienic. It seemed he could continue eating at this restaurant in the future. At that moment, a white, firefly-like light drifted towards Yang Nianqing and entered his brow. No one around him saw this strange event. Yang Nianqing smiled slightly. This was the light of merit, invisible to ordinary people. It seemed the children had been saved. After finishing his meal, it was already 1:30. Yang Nianqing went to a milk tea shop and bought two cups of milk tea, one for himself and one for Luo Dashu. By the time he returned to the stall, it was already 2:00. Yang Nianqing handed the milk tea to Luo Dashu: "Uncle Luo, please have this."

Luo Dashu laughed and accepted it: "Haha, thank you Nianqing."

"Oh, not at all. I should thank Uncle Luo for watching over my stall."

Yang Nianqing and Luo Dashu chatted while drinking milk tea. There were quite a few customers at this time, but no customers came to Yang Nianqing and Luo Dashu. One was too young to be trusted, and the other looked like a monkey with a pointed face, so they couldn't be trusted. Yang Nianqing and Luo Dashu were helpless and could only chat together. Luo Dashu told Yang Nianqing some interesting stories about his fortune telling experiences, which broadened Yang Nianqing's horizons.

An elderly woman led a group of people hurried forward, saying, "She's just ahead." The group looked grave, as if they were about to cause trouble for someone, drawing everyone's attention. The old woman led them to East Street, and when she reached Yang Nianqing's stall, she pointed at Yang Nianqing and said, "That's her."

Seeing the aggressive approach of the other party, Luo Dashu thought to himself, "This is bad." He figured they hadn't found her grandson and were now coming to settle scores with Yang Nianqing. Luo Dashu blocked Yang Nianqing's path, saying, "What do you want?" He then turned to Yang Nianqing and winked, "Nianqing, you go first!"

The old lady walked around Luo Dashu and knelt down in front of Yang Nianqing with a thud.

Seeing this, Yang Nianqing quickly stepped aside: "Hey! What are you doing? Get up quickly."

The old lady, Li Cuiyun, shook her head and cried, "Master, thank you so much! Thank you so much!" A young couple stepped forward, pushing past Luo Dashu, and grasped Yang Nianqing's hand, crying excitedly, "Master, if it weren't for you, we wouldn't have seen our son Luoluo again. Thank you so much!"

Yang Nianqing smiled at them and calmed their emotions: "I just did what I should do. The person you should thank the most is your mother. If it weren't for her, you wouldn't have been able to find your son. Go and help her up."

Upon hearing this, the two nodded gratefully and hurriedly went to help Li Cuiyun up.

Luo Dashu scratched his face awkwardly. It turned out that the person hadn't come to cause trouble, but to thank Yang Nianqing.

Among the group, Li Cuiyun's husband, Liu Aiguo, was the most composed. Liu Aiguo told Yang Nianqing about what happened after Li Cuiyun returned home. It turned out that after learning the fortune-telling results, Li Cuiyun immediately went home and told them the location of her grandson, Luoluo. However, they didn't believe it. They were already exhausted from not being able to find Luoluo and didn't have the energy to deal with Li Cuiyun's fuss. They would rather use that time to find Luoluo. How could they believe in such feudal superstitions? If a missing child could be found by consulting a fortune teller, then there wouldn't be so many missing children in the world.

Seeing that her husband, son, and daughter-in-law didn't believe her, Li Cuiyun felt a sense of despair. Remembering Yang Nianqing's words that she absolutely had to act quickly, otherwise the child might be in danger, Li Cuiyun, who loved Luoluo the most and was usually the one taking care of her, grasped at this last straw. She completely trusted Yang Nianqing's words; she had no other choice. With a determined heart, Li Cuiyun rushed into the kitchen, grabbed a cleaver, and held it to her neck: "I told you, Luoluo is there! Why don't you believe me!"

"Mom!" Wu Xue cried out in shock. At this moment, she hated Li Cuiyun even more. Her son was missing, and she was already in so much pain. Why did her mother-in-law have to make things worse? How could she believe the fortune teller's words? Her mother-in-law must have been deceived!
"Mom, put the knife down quickly." Liu Jianjun was in a state of turmoil. His son was missing, and now his mother was trying to commit suicide. What sins had his family committed?

Seeing her husband sneaking closer, Li Cuiyun pressed the knife closer and shouted, "Don't come any closer!"

"Cuiyun!" Liu Aiguo was heartbroken. These are extraordinary times, why would his wife be so confused?

Li Cuiyun looked directly into Liu Aiguo's eyes: "Aiguo, we've been together for decades, you know me best. Would I joke about something like this? Trust me!"

Seeing his wife's determined look, Liu Aiguo suddenly realized that Li Cuiyun, who loved Luo Luo the most, would never joke about Luo Luo! "Jianjun, Xiaoxue, your mother is right. She wouldn't joke about this. Let's find the police now. If Luo Luo is really still in Jiangcheng and being hidden in an old building, then there must be more than one kidnapper! Find more police officers!"

Hearing the boss say that, Li Cuiyun put down her knife and said, "Go quickly, and be fast!"

Even his usually wise father approved, so Liu Jianjun nodded without hesitation and prepared to go out with his father. Wu Xue quickly grabbed her husband's clothes and said, "I want to go too!"

Liu Jianjun looked at Wu Xue, then at Li Cuiyun, and thought that rather than leaving them at home to worry, it would be better for them to go together and look after each other. "Okay, Mom, you come too."

Li Cuiyun nodded and followed Liu Jianjun and the others out the door. They went to the police station and told the police that they had found Luo Luo. They didn't mention that it was from a fortune teller. When the police heard them say that, they immediately set out. Li Cuiyun led her family and the police to search in the southeast direction that Yang Nianqing had mentioned. When they arrived at a remote suburb, they indeed saw a very thick and tall old maple tree. When the group walked under the tree, they heard a child crying. It was coming from the old building directly opposite the old maple tree.
