Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 19 The Hogwarts Express

Chapter 19 The Hogwarts Express
Thick smoke from the steam locomotive swirled above the chattering crowd, while cats of various colors darted about at their feet. Amid the buzzing of conversation and the clatter of dragging heavy luggage, owls hooted shrilly, their calls echoing each other.

To prevent Raven from causing trouble, Tiera had to buy a small birdcage to house him; otherwise, in such a chaotic scene, the mischievous Raven would have flown off to who knows where to cause trouble.

Even with the birdcage, Raven kept pecking at the lock, seemingly trying to get Tiera to let him out. He loved the chaotic scene, as it allowed him to snatch some of his favorite glittering trinkets from the wizards' pockets.

The first few carriages were already packed with students; some were leaning out of the windows to talk to their families, while others were playing around in their seats. Harry pushed his cart forward on the platform, looking for an empty seat.

As they walked by, a round-faced boy said, "Grandma, I've lost the toad again."

"Oh, Neville," he heard an old woman sigh with disappointment.

"Need any help?" The speaker was the Weasley twins, whom they had met outside. They were obviously waiting for their younger brother, who had just started school.

After helping his younger brother carry his luggage onto the train, he turned to help Harry and Tyella, who were following behind Ron.

"Thank you," Harry said, a little embarrassed.

"Hey Fred, give me a hand."

With the help of the Weasley twins, Harry finally managed to push the box to the corner of the cubicle.

Then they turned to help Tierra.

Tiera had only a small box containing some essential clothes, paper, and pens.

“Your suitcase is very light!” George said.

“I live in London,” Tierra said. “My books have already been sent to school via Owlpost, just yesterday, and they should arrive by the time we get there.”

Having gone to university, he wasn't about to drag those heavy books to school himself.

Anyway, sending a book was very cheap, only 6 nut, and sending all the books and the potion-making cauldron only cost him less than 5 nut.

It's no wonder it's the birthplace of capitalists; even owls are exploited.

Indeed, capitalism has filled every pore of the world with blood and filth.

When he saw those owls wobbling and carrying his book to Hogwarts, for some reason, that sentence suddenly came to his mind.

“Very clever,” Fred and George said.

"That's brilliant!" Ron almost exclaimed. How come he hadn't thought of that method?

Tyella, Harry, and Ron found an empty compartment in the first-year carriage, and the Weasley twins used the little time before the train departed to tease their silly younger brother.

"Hey, smart kid, what's your name?" The Weasley twins seemed quite interested in Tyella.

Compared to Harry's awkwardness in such a crowded setting, Tierra's behavior was quite generous.

This makes it easier to gain the favor of other children.

“My name is Tierra Witch, my parents are Muggles, this is Harry Potter, we…”

"Harry Potter!" Ron screamed in his voice, which was just beginning to change.

"You, do you have, do you have that? It's, it's on your forehead..." Ron said nervously.

"Yes." Harry generously lifted his sweat-drenched hair.

"Oh my god, it really is Harry Potter." The twins, who had been very interested in Tyella, immediately abandoned her and surrounded Harry, asking him all sorts of questions. This enthusiastic attitude made Harry a little uncomfortable, but at the same time, a little bit of joy welled up in his heart.

This is a kind of joy called being noticed.

Tierra, unperturbed by the neglect, took out a book titled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" from a hidden compartment in her suitcase and began to read. Having lived her previous life as a biological dog, Tierra was most interested in the diverse and untamed magical creatures of the wizarding world.

Since using spare time on the train for studying is too inefficient, it's better to read some leisure books.

At the same time, Tierra also roughly understood Ron's feelings during the fourth and seventh books.

Children's likes and dislikes are straightforward and undisguised.

When you have someone who is too powerful and too dazzling by your side, even your closest friends may become jealous, which can lead to rifts.

Fortunately, Tierra is an adult, and he knows exactly what he wants. He really doesn't care about this kind of childish fun.

Perhaps because the Weasley brothers were too excited, it wasn't until Mrs. Weasley, who was standing outside the window, yelled three times that the three naughty boys finally stuck their heads out of the window.

"Hey Mom, guess what? Guess who I ran into on the train just now?"

"Do you know that dark-haired boy who was standing next to us at the station just now? Do you know who he is?"

"Who?"

"It's Harry! It's Harry Potter!"

Harry heard a little girl's voice and shyly moved away from Tyella to avoid being discovered eavesdropping.

He was still a little unaccustomed to Mrs. Weasley's overly enthusiastic attitude.

He subconsciously gravitated towards Tiera, whom he had known longer and who gave him a greater sense of security.

"Oh, Mom, can I get in the car to see him? Please, Mom..."

“You just saw him, Ginny. This poor kid isn’t some animal in a zoo, you can’t just stare at him like that. Is he really Harry, Fred, George? How did you know?”

“We asked him. We saw his scar. It’s really there, like a lightning bolt.”

“Oh…that poor child…” Mrs. Weasley’s eyes were filled with affection. “No wonder he was dressed so lightly, no wonder…and the other child? Who is the other dark-haired child?”

"Her name is Tiera Witch, and she is a child from a Muggle family."

"You all need to take good care of Harry and that Muggle kid at school. They must be terrified to be in such a strange environment. Look how polite and well-behaved they are when they ask for directions. Especially you, George, you're not allowed to bully them or play pranks on them. If I find out, I guarantee you'll never see those weird gadgets you hide under your beds again!"

"No, Mom, don't worry, we definitely won't. But Mom, do you think he'll remember what the mysterious person looks like?"

Their mother, Mrs. Weasley, suddenly turned grim.

"You're not allowed to ask him, Fred! You're not allowed to ask! Do you want him to remember that terrible thing on his first day of school?!"

"Okay, don't get angry, Mom. We won't ask anymore."

A steam horn sounded.

"No mischief allowed at school!" As the train started moving and the Weasley brothers moved further and further away from their mother, Mrs. Weasley had no choice but to shout. Her fierce voice drew the attention of the wizards standing nearby.

The train gradually accelerated.

Harry saw the children's mother waving, and their little sister crying and laughing as she ran after the train until it was so fast that she was left far behind, still waving to them.

Harry kept watching the mother and daughter until the train rounded the bend and they were out of sight. Houses flashed past the windows.

Harry was thrilled. He didn't know what lay ahead, but it was certainly better than the past he had left behind.
