Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 233 I foresaw your prophecy

Chapter 233 I foresaw your prophecy
With Tyella's encouragement, Hermione seemed much more cheerful. Although she was still busy, Hermione seemed to have found her backbone compared to before, and she was full of high spirits.

Even so, even though Hermione has a goal to strive for and motivation—

She also could never stand Professor Trelawney's divination lessons; Hermione seemed to be inherently incompatible with Professor Trelawney.

Hermione's last divination class was a crystal ball class, in the first week of March.

The divination classroom that day was as stuffy and dim as ever, filled with a strong aroma of spices—

After losing Sirius Black as her stand-in, in order to prevent herself from inhaling too much spice and accidentally activating her prophetic talent, Tiera would open two small passages in her nostrils every time she had a divination class, directly connecting to the green grass outside the castle.

"Hello..." The familiar, indistinct voice rang out, and Professor Trelawney stepped out of the shadows as usual.

Parvati and Lavender trembled with excitement as the milky white light from the crystal ball illuminated their faces.

“I’ve decided to start the crystal ball class a little earlier than originally planned,” Professor Trelawney said as she sat down, her back to the fire in the fireplace. She then began to look around. “Fate has informed me that your exams in June will be related to spheres, so I’m eager to give you plenty of practice.”

"laugh--"

Tyella heard Hermione sitting next to him snort in disdain.

Because Tierra knew that, according to the original storyline, Professor Trelawney would make a prophecy for Harry after a Divination class, and to avoid being implicated and passively drawn into the prophecy, Tierra always chose to stay away from Harry during Divination classes.

For example, sitting next to a know-it-all lady who is completely engrossed in "Das Kapital".

“Seriously, fate has already informed her? Who will set the exam questions? Her! This kind of prophecy is truly amazing!” Hermione whispered to Tyella. “Compared to her, your prophecy is much more accurate.”

Tiera nodded silently. "Of course," she thought, "I'm a proletarian fighter; we must seize control of our own destiny."

Lao Tzu's own prophecy came true.

“Looking at a crystal ball is a very delicate art,” Trelawney said, as if in a dream. “This is your first time peering into this unfathomable sphere, and of course, apart from Mr. Lockhart, I don’t expect any of you to see anything. We should start by practicing relaxing our subjective consciousness and external eyes to clear the light and the superconscious. If we’re lucky, some of you might be able to see something before get out of class ends.”

So they began their free time during the class—

Almost no one was looking at the crystal ball seriously. Harry was in a daze, Ron started to sleep on the table, Hermione took out "Das Kapital" and started reading, and Tyella began to perform the twenty-first calculation of the demon summoning ritual.

"So what did our little genius prophet see?" Professor Trelawney walked over, her dress rustling.

“I saw you,” Tierra said without looking up.

His words immediately drew the attention of the entire class.

“Oh…oh…that’s…that’s amazing…” Professor Trelawney said, clearly not expecting Tierra to say that either, “You didn’t even look at the crystal ball…”

“I’ve opened my third eye; I’m using it to see,” Tiera said, continuing to calculate the formulas on the paper.

“Oh… okay, okay, so what did you see?” Trelawney asked.

“It’s nothing,” Tiera finally looked up and said, “just a little prophecy.”

“Tell me about it,” Trelawney said nervously.

“I’d be happy to use it for demonstration.” Tiera smiled mysteriously, then took a skull cigarette case out of her backpack.

Tierra took a deep breath of air, holding the cigarette holder that hadn't been used in over half a century in her mouth.

Yes, air; Tierra didn't risk filling it with any spices.

After finishing her inhalation, Tierra sat quietly in her seat for a while with her eyes closed.

Suddenly, Tiera opened his eyes, both of them glowing, with wisps of ethereal smoke rising from them—

Then, two beams of light shot out from Tiera's eyes and landed on the table and chairs in the center of the divination classroom—

That was where Trelawney was sitting. Tierra's two gazes met on that armchair, and a blurry, gaunt figure appeared on the armchair—it was Professor Trelawney!

The whole class was stunned, including Trelawney.

The ghostly Professor Trelawney sat frozen in her armchair, her gaze unfocused, her chin drooping, her eyes darting wildly as if she were having a seizure. Then, a loud, hoarse voice echoed through the classroom—

"This is going to happen tonight..."

"The Dark Lord lies alone... friendless, abandoned by his companions... For twelve years his servant has been imprisoned. Tonight, before midnight, this servant will break free of his chains and begin searching for his master..."

“The Dark Lord will rise again with the help of his servants…more powerful and terrifying than ever before…tonight…before midnight…that servant will begin to find his master again…” Trelawney mumbled incoherently.

The phantom Professor Trelawney's head drooped to her chest, and she snorted.

Then, quite suddenly, her head snapped up again.

"I'm sorry, my dear child," she mumbled, as if sleepwalking, "It was too hot during the day, you know I fell asleep for a while..."

Tierra's prophecy ended there. The illusory Professor Trelawney sitting in the armchair vanished instantly, and Tierra returned to normal, looking at Trelawney—

How does it feel to eat the melon yourself while you're eating it?
But Trelawney completely missed Tierra's gaze; she was now filled with terror—

"No! This is impossible!" Trelawney cried. "The Dark Lord could not have risen! I could not have foreseen the Dark Lord's rise!"

“You couldn’t possibly have predicted my prediction!” Professor Trelawney almost screamed.

“Heh.” Tierra said nothing, only smiled at Trelawney—

Trelawney is said to be a descendant of Cassandra, the famous ancient Greek prophet.

Cassandra is most famous for her incredibly accurate prophecies, but no one believed them.

In this respect, she does resemble Professor Sybil Trelawney—

Sometimes even Trelawney herself didn't believe her own predictions.

Seemingly because Thiella's gaze had offended Professor Trelawney, she suddenly glared angrily at Thiella and said—

“You…you’re lying!” Trelawney exclaimed excitedly. “You’re lying! You’re not a prophet at all! You weren’t making any prophecies! You were just making up lies!”

"Do you know what a prophecy is? Let me tell you what a prophecy is!" Trelawney suddenly said angrily, "You, you, you will be in great danger—"

“Oh, please!” Hermione suddenly stood up, slammed the copy of *Das Kapital* shut, tucked it under her arm, and interrupted Trelawney’s prophecy—

“You’re not a prophet at all, you’re a fraud!” Hermione said angrily, slinging her bag over her shoulder and grabbing Tyella—

“Let’s go! Tierra, let’s go! You’re already so talented, it doesn’t matter whether you take these classes or not,” Hermione said.

Tierra was pulled to her feet and dragged to the door, but just as she was about to leave the divination classroom, Tierra suddenly stopped.

“Wait for me, Hermione,” Tierra whispered, then turned around—

“Embrace your own talents, Sybil,” Tyrell said kindly, mimicking Dumbledore’s tone. “You can fool yourself, but can you fool fate?”

I'm running out of drafts lately, so the second update will still be this afternoon.
