Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 264 "Small Toys"

Chapter 264 "Small Toys"

Dumbledore: ? ? ?
"What do you mean...we'll talk about it later?" Dumbledore asked hesitantly.

“Well… let’s talk about it later,” Tiera said.

"When will we talk about it again?" Dumbledore pressed. "Are you not satisfied with Fawkes' blood, tears, and feathers?"

"It's not that... it's just... we'll talk about it later," Tiera said with a grin.

"You still don't want to help?" Dumbledore asked again.

“Of course I’ll help, I definitely will,” Tierra said. “I’ll definitely help the principal.”

"And then?" Dumbledore asked.

“Then we’ll talk about it later,” Tierra said.

Dumbledore: ...

“Tierra…you must understand…” Dumbledore earnestly advised, “Finding Voldemort’s Horcruxes and destroying them is not just my business, not just one person’s business, it’s the business of the entire wizarding world. The terrorism brought about by Voldemort’s resurrection will affect the entire wizarding world.”

“Oh, okay, we’ll talk about it later,” Tierra said.

"Tierra! We don't have much time left!" Dumbledore said anxiously. "The sooner we deal with those Horcruxes, the greater our advantage will be! And the less Voldemort's influence we can minimize!"

“Okay, I’ll talk to you about it later,” Tierra said.

Dumbledore: ...

“Hehehe…” Nicholas Flamel, who was sitting to the side, suddenly laughed.

“I…I haven’t seen you so humiliated in almost half a century…” Nicholas Lema said, laughing so hard he could barely breathe.

"Can I come back here to stay temporarily?" Tierra asked.

“Oh, no.” Nicholas Flamel suddenly said seriously.

"Never mind..." Dumbledore waved his hand and said, "Let's talk about this later... Are you going to the Quidditch World Cup?"

“Hmm…I…” Tierra thought for a moment and then said, “I think I’ll go. Hmm, I’ll go. Mr. Weasley went to a lot of trouble to get Quidditch tickets. If I don’t go, it would be a waste of his kindness.”

Tiera initially wanted to refuse, but after thinking it over, she agreed.

He remembered that when Harry was in first grade, he had mentioned it briefly when Harry was rambling on about the contents of the book "Quidditch" in his ear—

Sparky, the mascot of the New Zealand Quidditch team, the Motora Macaws, is the only known domesticated phoenix in the world besides Dumbledore's phoenix, Fawkes.

The appearance of this phoenix gave meaning to the otherwise noisy and crowded Quidditch World Cup for Tierra.

“I thought you didn’t like Quidditch,” Dumbledore said.

“Oh, I miss Harry,” Tyrell replied casually. “And I miss Mrs. Weasley’s cooking.”

“The food here is too bland,” Tierra added.

Dumbledore opened his mouth, then closed it again in frustration. He wanted to say something, but didn't know how to begin.

"Then pack your things," Dumbledore said after a while. "I'll take you to the Weasleys' house this Friday night. You can stay there for the weekend; Harry will be there too."

"Are you leaving so soon?" Nicholas Flamel said. "I'll miss you, you cheeky little devil."

"Hey, can I come over to play with you often in the future?" Tierra asked innocently.

“No, goodbye.” Nicholas Lemaître said, taking another sip of tea.

“Okay…” Tiera said, feigning sadness, “Well, can I take one souvenir with me? I’ll miss you when I leave here.”

"A souvenir?" Nicholas Lemay put down his teacup and gave Tierra a strange look—

“You mean those little toys you made here, using my equipment and my materials?” Nicholas Lemay sighed, then said, “If that’s what it is, you can take it.”

“But you are not allowed to touch any of the materials that you haven’t touched yet,” Nicholas Lemay then warned sternly.

“A little toy? What little toy?” Dumbledore asked.

“Nothing much, just some experimental magic and alchemical items,” Tierra said. “In that case, why don’t you tell Dumbledore in detail what these little toys of yours are?” With that, Nicholas Flamel waved his hand, and suddenly a pile of colorful, strangely shaped things appeared on the floor in the center of the alchemy hut’s drawing room.

Dumbledore stepped forward, preparing to pick up a shield-like alchemical artifact, and examined it closely—

It was a circular shield, about one meter in diameter. The outermost ring was red, followed by a white ring, then another red ring, and finally, in the center of the last red circle was a white five-pointed star. The space between the star and the red circles was filled with evenly applied blue.

“Albus, raise your shield toward me,” Nicholas Flamel said, then drew his wand and waved it, first casting an armor spell on himself, then casting a spell toward the white pentagram in the center of the shield.

Struck by the spell, the shield flew from Dumbledore's hand, spinning rapidly in mid-air like a cutting wheel, before sawing towards Nicholas Flamel with incredible speed—

However, it was stopped by the Ironclad Charm; after cutting through the Charm for a moment, the shield bounced back into Dumbledore's hand.

Almost without missing a beat, Dumbledore grabbed it again.

"What is this?" Dumbledore asked Tyrell, turning to her.

“I call it Captain America’s Shield,” Tierra said. “It can absorb spells and then fly in the direction the spell came from.”

“It can cause some disruption to the opponent,” Tierra added, “purely for self-defense.”

"Pure self-defense?" Dumbledore raised his voice and questioned, "If Nicholas Flamel hadn't used the Ironclad Charm beforehand, he probably would have been cut in half!"

“That’s because his bones are brittle,” Tierra explained. “A normal wizard would at most get a scratch.”

“I’m confiscating this shield,” Dumbledore said, placing the shield on the chair behind him. Then he drew his Elder Wand and swung it at a hammer-like magical object on the ground.

The hammer didn't budge.

Dumbledore paused for a moment, then waved his wand again—

The hammer twitched, but remained motionless.

Dumbledore had no choice but to bend down, grasp a hammer lying on the ground, and pull it—

No pull.

Dumbledore exerted even more force, and finally managed to lift the hammer off the ground with great difficulty.

Dumbledore slowly placed the hammer back on the ground.

"What is this?" asked Dumbledore.

“This is Thor’s hammer,” Tierra said.

"It can even unleash lightning?" Dumbledore asked in surprise.

“No,” Tiera said. “The magical configuration and alchemical matrix for releasing lightning are too difficult and too complex. I didn’t have enough time to add those things to it. I only had time to add a super heavy and a user-specific spell so that no one but me could lift it with magic.”

"What's the use of this?" Dumbledore asked.

“Crack walnuts,” Tierra said.

"And this?" Dumbledore picked up a metal glove-like object with six notches on it.

“This is called the Infinity Gauntlet,” Tierra said.

"What's the use?" Dumbledore asked.

“Snap my fingers,” Tierra said proudly. “This is my proudest creation!”

"What is it for?" Dumbledore asked.

“It’s snapping your fingers,” Tierra said. “Look, Headmaster Dumbledore, most people couldn’t snap their fingers with gloves this heavy, but with mine, they can snap their fingers all the time, and even create a Flight of the Bumblebee effect with a snap—”

"That's it?" Dumbledore asked, clearly incredulous. "That's all?"

"It can also automatically kill anyone nearby who is hostile to the wearer," Nicholas Lemay added.

"Confiscate it!" Dumbledore said.

Because of the recent busy start of the school term, from now on, the first update will be in the morning, and the second update will be at noon or in the afternoon.
