Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 282 Dress
Chapter 282 Dress
After angering Voldemort, Tiera immediately cut off the supply of magic and life force.
Tyrell didn't even need to use Peter Pettigrew's eyes and ears to imagine the furious expression on Voldemort's face when she finished uttering the last prophecy.
Judging from the original work, Voldemort treated prophecies like a fortune teller visiting a grocery store—superstitious, reverent, and completely obsessed with them.
So Tyrell first gave Voldemort three prophecies he couldn't refuse, and then gave him a prophecy he couldn't accept at all.
This made Voldemort feel as if he had been force-fed a mouthful of shit, but it only made him pay more attention to Harry.
In Dumbledore's words—
Come on, Harry, embrace your destiny!
Let Voldemort and Harry continue their entanglement, and once Voldemort realizes he can't kill Harry, Tyrell only needs to give him a little guidance and hints, and the death-fearing Voldemort will do everything in his power to find a way to avoid death—
From a psychological perspective, when people lack a sense of security, they tend to repeat what they believe is most effective.
If it were Voldemort, Tierra believed there was a high probability he would continue making Horcruxes.
Tiera wanted him to continue making Horcruxes.
After all, the Horcruxes are running low on resources.
Tyella's words weighed heavily on Harry, Ron, and Hermione's hearts.
But clearly, this heaviness did not last long.
“Come on, Harry, let’s have a Quidditch match in the orchard,” Ron suggested after a moment of hesitation. “Come on—three against three, Bill, Charlie, Fred, and George all in…you could try the Lansky feint…”
“Ron!” Hermione said, her voice implying, “I think you’re being incredibly tactless. Harry doesn’t want to play Quidditch right now… He’s very upset and tired… We all need to go to bed…”
“Well, I guess I’d still be willing to play a Quidditch match…” Harry suddenly said. “Wait a minute, I need to grab my Firebolt. Um… Tierra, are you coming?”
“Oh, never mind,” Tiera said with a shrug.
“Okay,” Harry said, then took the rocket crossbow and went down to the garden with Ron.
"These boys," Hermione said, rolling her eyes.
“Ha, who can argue with that?” Tiera shrugged again. “What a childish boy.”
“Wait a minute,” Hermione said. “Aren’t you the same?”
“Ah…” Tiera hesitated for a moment, then said, “I’m not naive.”
After that, Tyrell, Harry, and Hermione stayed at the Weasleys' house for another week, until the last day of summer vacation.
Due to the riots at the Quidditch World Cup, Mr. Weasley had to work overtime to deal with the complaints and rants received by the Ministry of Magic. Therefore, Mrs. Weasley and several of the Weasley sons were responsible for taking a few wizarding students to Kingdom Cross Station.
The day before their departure, the Weasleys were, as usual, extremely busy.
Whenever there was such a moment of parting, Mrs. Weasley always seemed particularly nervous, running up and down, busying herself with stuffing piles of things into Ron's room.
“You can pack your things yourselves, dear,” Mrs. Weasley said with a smile. “I need to help little Ginny organize her elective course notes for this semester.”
Ron had no choice but to move a huge pile of packages onto Harry and Tierra's sleeping bags himself, and then throw his money bag and a large bag of socks next to the packages.
Harry began unpacking the things Mrs. Weasley had bought for him. Besides Miranda Gossack's Standard Spells, Level Four, there was a new quill, twelve rolls of parchment, and supplies to replenish his potion-making kit—his lionfish spine powder and belladonna extract were almost gone, and he was just about to put his underwear into his cauldron when he heard Ron's disgusted grumbling behind him.
"What is this thing?"
Ron was holding something in his hand—
It was a dark purple velvet dress with a neckline trimmed with what looked like moldy ruffles, and matching lace trim on the cuffs.
Just then there was a knock on the door and Mrs. Weasley walked in, holding a pair of freshly washed and ironed Hogwarts robes in her arms.
“These are for you,” she said, dividing the robes into three piles. “Okay, when you pack them, remember to put them neatly so they don’t get wrinkled.”
"Mum, you gave me Ginny's new dress," Ron said, handing her the dress.
"How could I be mistaken," said Mrs. Weasley, "Here they are for you, dress robes."
"What?" said Ron, looking horrified.
'Dress robes!' Mrs. Weasley repeated. 'The list you got from school says you should get dress robes this year . . . formal robes.'
"You've got to be kidding me," said Ron incredulously. "I wouldn't wear anything like that, ever!"
"Everyone has to wear them, Ron!" said Mrs. Weasley angrily. "They're all like that! Your father has some of them too, for fancy parties!"
"I'd rather be naked than wear it," said Ron stubbornly.
“Don’t be silly,” Mrs. Weasley said. “You must have a dress robe, it’s on your list! I bought one for Harry and one for Tierra as well…show him yours.”
Harry nervously opened the last package on his sleeping bag—
"Whoo~"
It wasn't as bad as he had imagined. His dress robe had no lace at all—in fact, it looked much like his school uniform, except that it wasn't black, but dark blue.
“I think it will make your eyes look even more beautiful, dear,” Mrs. Weasley said affectionately. “Oh, and Tyella, look at yours. Considering you grew up in China, I picked out a Chinese dress for you. Take a look and I hope you feel at home.”
“Thank you…Mrs. Weasley…” Tierra opened the package given to her, then stiffly, her lips twitching, she pulled out the dress from inside—
It was a bright red long dress, a standard Qing Dynasty style.
“It’s beautiful!” Harry exclaimed.
“This is absolutely gorgeous!” Ron exclaimed angrily. “Why can’t I have one like this?”
“Because it belongs to your aunt Tess,” Mrs. Weasley said. “You know, it’s family tradition.”
“I wouldn’t mind exchanging them,” Tiera sighed. “This is a wedding dress.”
"A wedding dress?" Mrs. Weasley asked in shock.
“Yes, Mrs. Weasley, in ancient China, only girls wore such clothes when they got married,” Tierra said helplessly. “But thank you for your kindness, Mrs. Weasley. I will make her wear it when I marry a girl I like in the future.”
Sorry everyone, I was a bit busy yesterday, so the second update will have to be this afternoon.
Thank you Mingji Qianchou for the 100 Qidian coins reward.
