Chapter 343 Hermione's Dramatic Transformation

Chapter 343 Hermione's Dramatic Transformation
Lunalovgood looks beautiful today.

Her hair was carefully styled; the messy blonde hair was magically repaired by Tiera, neatly coiled on her head, and then secured with an exquisite white crystal crown.

Luna wore a bright silver dress adorned with deep blue crystal shards, making her appear as if she were wearing a galaxy under the dim castle lights.

"What's wrong?" Seeing Tiera staring at her, Lunalovgood lowered her head and asked with a slight blush.

“It’s nothing,” Tierra replied with a smile, then drew her wand and waved it at Luna—

A thin, pale white veil shimmering with starlight appeared above Luna's head, then slowly fell and draped over her shoulders.

“You’re just too beautiful,” Tiera said with a smile, then raised her right hand toward Luna.

"Thank you!" Luna smiled shyly and hooked her arm around Tiera's right arm.

Ron and Harry were also carrying Parvati and Padma respectively—

Tiera couldn't tell them apart; they both looked exactly alike.

Tyella, Harry, Ron, and their dance partners walked down the stairs to the entrance hall of Hogwarts.

The lobby was also crowded with students, who were pacing anxiously, waiting for eight o'clock when the doors of the auditorium would open.

Some people wanted to meet up with their dance partners from other colleges, so they squeezed through the crowd, trying to find their counterparts.

"Thank you," Luna whispered to Tierra while they waited. "Thank you, thank you for bringing me to the ball."

“You’re welcome,” Tierra said with a smile. “It’s what I should do.”

"Then can you be my friend?" Luna asked cautiously again.

“We’ve been friends for a long time,” Tiera said with a smile, while adjusting Luna’s light gauze shawl.

Tiera let half of the shawl hang behind Luna and the other half drape over Luna's shoulders, wrapping around Luna's bare arms. The already ethereal Luna became even more fairy-like with the shawl.

“We’ve been friends since the first time we met in my house,” Tierra said after adjusting Luna’s shawl. “I’ve always thought Luna was beautiful, intelligent, and a true Ravenclaw.”

"Thank you, thank you," Luna said, blushing.

"Oh my god!" At this moment, Parvati, who was standing next to Tierra and Luna, suddenly exclaimed softly. Tierra and Luna looked in the direction of Parvati's exclamation.

Fleur Delacour approached, stunningly beautiful in a long, silver-grey satin robe, accompanied by Roger Davis, captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.

That is, the fifth-year senior from Ravenclaw that Luna Lovegood originally wanted to invite.

"She's so beautiful," Lunalovgood murmured, somewhat mesmerized.

“No one is as beautiful as you,” Tiera said with a shrug. “You are the most beautiful magical princess tonight.”

Tierra racked her brains for sweet nothings.

"Thank you!" Luna smiled happily, tilting her head.

A group of Slytherin students came up the steps from their underground common room.

Leading the way was Malfoy, dressed in a black velvet high-necked robe, looking just like a parish priest.

Malfoy's dance partner, Pansy Parkinson, wore a pale pink robe with many ruffles and clung tightly to Malfoy's arm.

Malfoy's two little followers, Crabbe and Goyle, were both dressed in green, looking like two large, moss-covered rocks. Clearly, the two poor chubby boys hadn't found dance partners. The oak front door of Hogwarts Castle opened, and everyone turned to see Durmstrang's students, Professor Karkaroff, and Mrs. Rosie walk in together.

Krum walked at the front, with the man Harry knew beside him—

It's that arrogant white-haired girl who used to pester Tiera! Harry thought to himself.

Over the heads of the German Shepherd Strong students and teachers, one can see that a lawn in front of the castle has been transformed into a cave, shimmering with fairy-tale light—

This means there are hundreds of living fairies, either sitting in a cluster of magically conjured roses or flapping their wings on statues that appear to be Santa Claus and his reindeer.

At that moment, Professor McGonagall's voice suddenly rang out—

"Warriors! Come this way!"

Parvati adjusted her bracelet, a bright smile spreading across her face. She and Harry said "See you later" to Ron and Padma, and walked on, the chattering crowd parting to let them pass.

Tierra smiled and gently patted Luna's hand that was linked with her arm, leading Luna toward Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall was wearing a long red plaid robe, with an unsightly wreath of thistles adorning the brim of her hat.

She told them to stand by the door and wait, and let the others go in first.

After the students were all seated, they lined up and entered the auditorium. Fleur Delacour and Roger Davis stood closest to the door. Davis seemed unable to believe his good fortune in having Fleur as his dance partner; he simply couldn't take his eyes off her.

Viktor Krum came alone; the white-haired girl who kept pestering Tiera didn't seem to be his dance partner.

“Hmm, Mr. Lockhart.” Viktor Krum twisted his thick eyebrows, staring nervously at the entrance to the Hogwarts staircase, and asked Tyella, “Where’s Hermione? Why hasn’t she come down?”

“Hermione?” Tyella raised an eyebrow. “Don’t worry, she’s carefully getting ready. Hermione is taking this ball very seriously; she’s set aside a full three hours for herself—”

"Aha!" Tyrell suddenly exclaimed in surprise, looking towards the top of the Hogwarts stairs. "Look, Krum, she's here."

All eyes turned to Tierra in the direction she had just spoken—

A girl slowly walked down the stairs—

But she doesn't look like Hermione at all.

Hermione did something to her hair; it was no longer messy but smooth and shiny, and she styled it into an elegant bun at the back of her head.

She was also wearing a long robe made of flowing light purple-blue fabric, and somehow, her demeanor was different—perhaps simply because she had taken off the twenty-odd thick books she usually carried with her.

She smiled—a little nervous, of course—but her shrunken front teeth looked even smaller.

"Hi! Harry! Tyella!" Hermione's face was tense, but anyone could see the smile on her face. "Hello, Parvati! Oh, and Luna, hello!"

Parvati stared at Hermione with an undisguised suspicion. She wasn't the only one doing so.

As the doors to the Great Hall opened, the members of Krum's fan club strode from the library, all casting glares of intense hatred at Hermione.

Pansy Parkinson walked past Malfoy, arm in arm, glaring at Hermione. Even Malfoy seemed unable to find a single insult to utter. Ron, on the other hand, walked straight past Hermione without even glancing at her, seemingly sulking to himself.
