Chapter 358 Bigfoot is back
After the second project ended, the most wonderful thing was that everyone was eager to know what exactly happened at the bottom of the lake—

“It’s alright, I’ve hidden my wand in my sleeve,” he assured Padma Petit. “I can subdue those mermaid fools if I want to.”

“What are you planning to do? Snort at them?” Hermione retorted sharply as Ron’s story became increasingly outrageous.

Ron's ears turned red, and from then on, his story returned to the version where he was hypnotized by magic.

After March, the weather cleared up a bit, but every time they went outside, the biting wind still stung their hands and faces. The owls couldn't deliver the messages in time because the strong winds always blew them off course.

Harry sent the brown owl to deliver a message to Sirius, telling him the date his classmates would be going to Hogsmeade Village for the weekend.

The owl appeared at breakfast time on Friday, half of its feathers blown about by the wind.

Harry had just torn Sirius's letter down when the owl hurriedly flew away, seemingly afraid of being sent out to deliver messages again.

Sirius's letter was almost as short as the last.

"He hasn't gone to Hogsmeade yet?" Ron said incredulously after seeing Harry open the letter.

“It seems so, doesn’t it?” Hermione said.

“I can’t believe it,” Harry said nervously, “if he gets caught…”

"He's safe so far, isn't he?" said Ron. "And it's not overrun with Dementors like it used to be."

Harry folded the letter and fell into thought.

To be honest, he really longed to see Sirius again.

In the afternoon, he went to his last class—

Two consecutive Potions classes. As he walked up the stairs to the underground classroom, he felt even more cheerful than usual.

The only downside is that Tyrell and Hermione aren't going to Hogsmeade this time. For some reason, they've started whispering to each other again lately.

This made Harry feel isolated.

So when Harry left the castle at noon the next day, he was only accompanied by Ron Weasley. The two of them carried two large backpacks filled with all sorts of food. Harry thought Sirius must be starving, otherwise he would never have written something about wanting food on a piece of paper.

Then they walked down the mountain, where Hogsmeade Village was nestled in the shadow of the mountain.

Then, they turned a corner and saw a fence at the end of the path. Waiting for them there was a large, scruffy black dog. Its front paws were resting on the top fence, and it had a few newspapers in its mouth. The dog looked very familiar...

"Sirius!" Harry ran over in a few strides and exclaimed excitedly, "Long time no see!"

The black dog sniffed eagerly at Harry's bag, wagged its tail, then turned and trotted across a bushy area leading down to the foot of a rocky hill. Harry and Ron quickly climbed over the fence and followed.

Sirius led them all the way to the foot of the mountain, where the ground was covered with stones of all sizes.

Sirius Black had four paws, so he could walk with ease, but Harry and Ron were soon out of breath.

They followed Sirius higher and higher, beginning their ascent up the mountain. They followed Sirius's wagging tail, climbing for nearly half an hour along winding, steep, and rocky paths. The scorching sun made them drenched in sweat, and Harry's backpack straps dig painfully into his shoulders.

Finally, Sirius disappeared in a flash. When they reached the spot where he had vanished, they saw a narrow crevice in the rock. They squeezed through and found themselves in a dimly lit, cool cave.

Buckbeak, the hippogriff, was tethered at the far end of the cave, its rope wrapped around a large rock. The three of them bowed deeply to it. Buckbeak surveyed them haughtily for a moment, then bent its scaly forelegs, allowing Harry to stroke its feathered neck. And the black dog—

Just then, the black dog transformed into his godfather.

Sirius Black wore a tattered grey robe, the same one he wore when he left Azkaban. His black hair was much longer and more disheveled than when he last appeared in the hearth. He looked very thin.

"Chicken!" he croaked, dropping the worn Daily Prophet from his mouth onto the cave floor.

Harry opened his backpack and handed over the lamb, chicken leg, and bread he had secretly taken from the lunch table.

"Thank you," Sirius said, and he eagerly opened the package, grabbed a chicken leg, sat down on the ground, and tore off a large piece of chicken with his teeth. "I almost live on rats, and I can't steal much food from Hogsmeade without attracting attention."

He looked up at Harry and smiled, but Harry only managed a forced smile in return.

Meanwhile, as Sirius Black wolfed down his food, the silvery, faint sunlight shone on the lawn in front of Hogwarts. It was a rare good day since the beginning of spring.

Tyrell led Hermione along as they strolled in the dappled sunlight.

Tyrell led Hermione around on the grass until an inconspicuous green beetle gently landed inside Hermione's wizard's hat. Tyrell stopped and smiled at Hermione, saying:

"Please close your eyes, Hermione."

"What?" Hermione asked, puzzled.

“Close your eyes, Hermione,” Tyella repeated with a smile. “I have a surprise for you, believe me.”

“Okay…” Hermione closed her eyes somewhat reluctantly.

After Hermione closed her eyes, Tyrell gently took Hermione's hand, and together they stepped into a portal of light.
