Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 41: Making Trouble!

Chapter 41: Making Trouble!

When Mrs. Lorris, the cat, appeared at the door, it meant that the caretaker, Fitch, was already very close.

Tierra decided to take one last gamble and rush out of the corridor. As long as she got to the stairs and wasn't caught red-handed by Fitch, even if Fitch knew they had trespassed into the restricted area, he couldn't do anything to them.

But clearly, the other young wizards didn't think so.

Ron was the first to start running, but not like the stairs; he ran towards the door at the end of the corridor.

Hermione, who was breaking school rules for the first time, panicked and followed behind Ron.

Harry did the same; as he ran, he grabbed Tyella, who was about to run in the opposite direction, causing her to stumble.

Tierra: ...

Thank you so much.

They ran wildly down the corridor, heads down, dodging the debris and dust thrown at them by Pippi.

Clearly, Pipi Ghost wasn't going to let them go, shouting and yelling as he tried to stop them.

"Bang—" Ron was the first to bump into the door at the end of the corridor and reached out to pull it open.

"It's over, the door's locked, we..."

"Open Alohomora!" Hermione, who was in second place, waved the spell at the door.

"Click—" The huge wooden door opened in response, and four young wizards filed in.

Tierra found this scene magical.

You say you're keeping the only Philosopher's Stone in the world today, so why can't you put another spell on the door?
With your intelligence, Dumbledore, couldn't you have put a spell on the door that required four wizards to use a specific charm simultaneously to open it?
Tiera pondered for ten days and ten nights but still couldn't understand why the method of preserving this magic stone was so frivolous.
It's like it's specifically designed for training...

and many more?

Could this really be something Dumbledore used to train Harry?

In his previous life, when he read it, he always thought the challenges of guarding the Philosopher's Stone were too childish; he had previously thought it was just children's literature.

Now that I've put myself in their shoes, I realize that these challenges are just like levels in a video game.

Thinking about it this way, the timing of Pippi's appearance is also suspicious. How could it be such a coincidence that they were blocked?
However, since the fact has already occurred, Tiera will not dwell too much on the reasons behind it, and will plan for the worst-case scenario.

In scenario one, this is truly Dumbledore's challenge to Harry, the savior, with Tyrell innocently caught up in the mess, and he needs to calculate what more benefit he can gain from the whole affair.

Scenario two: Dumbledore notices something amiss with him. How should he behave to gain Dumbledore's trust?

Perhaps... Tiera thought to herself, benefits and trust could be obtained at the same time.

At this moment, the four of them pressed themselves against the wooden door, listening to the sounds gradually fading away at the end of the corridor. Only Tierra noticed that the six eyes of the three-headed dog lying behind her had slowly opened.

Tierra squeezed the stink bomb in his pocket. He had bought it during his summer vacation at the Bouncing Hoop Magical Joke Shop in Diagon Alley after passing through the Leaky Cauldron. It could be filled with any scent he wanted.

Tierra bought a large quantity of realgar from a Chinese medicine shop in London's Chinatown.

Originally a Noble Phantasm specifically designed for use against basilisk monsters, it is also surprisingly effective against Cerberus, a creature with a keen sense of taste.

While Cerberus holds a prominent place in Muggle history and mythology, depicted as the watchdog of hell capable of breathing fire and clouds, in the wizarding world, it is actually a tough, highly magical, incredibly strong, and loyal Class 3X magical creature with an exceptionally keen sense of smell.

While not particularly dangerous, this applies to adult wizards and tough, half-giants like Hagrid.

It's hard to say whether the four young wizards will be in danger facing such a colossal creature.

Tierra didn't want to spend the rest of the year in the hospital until Christmas.

"Ah—" Hermione was the first to exclaim.

Because she saw three heads, three pairs of eyes, and three large mouths with three noses behind her, waving their noses at them.

Three gaping, blood-red mouths were dripping foul-smelling saliva.

They arrived as quickly as they had.

They opened the wooden door and slammed it shut with a "bang!" They dashed out of the corridor and ran straight up the moving stairs before finally catching their breath.

"What are they trying to do? Locking that thing up in the school!" Ron finally said, panting.

Once Hermione caught her breath, her bad habit of lecturing kicked in, and she stood with her hands on her hips, pointing at Harry and Ron.

"You, you, and you—what are your eyes for?" she said angrily. "Didn't you see what it was standing on?"

"On the floor?" Harry guessed. "I wasn't looking at its feet, I was too busy looking at its head."

"No, not on the floor. It's standing on a trapdoor. It's obviously guarding something, and the reason students are prohibited from entering the fourth-floor corridor must be because there's something particularly important there."

She stood up and glared angrily at Harry and Ron.

“I hope you’ll watch where you’re going next time, so you don’t lead us into places we shouldn’t be,” Hermione said. “We almost got bitten to death…or worse…expelled from school.”

It's dinner time now. The four of them just came back from the library after a mentally exhausting day and night, and they're all starving.

Harry ordered a glass of orange juice, a bowl of cherries, and a black pepper steak, while Ron ordered half a honey-roasted chicken and a glass of lemon tea.

Even Hermione, who usually eats very little, asked for an extra serving of fries.

Only Tierra's portion remained unchanged; she quietly ate a plate of salt and pepper boiled chicken breast, a plate of English fried rice with only cucumber and eggs, a plate of salad without dressing, and a glass of milk.

There's so little food to eat in Britain, and most of it is heavy on oil and salt. It took Tierra more than a month of running around in the kitchen to finally teach the house-elf how to use less salt when cooking meat, how to blanch chicken breast, and how to use less butter and salt when frying rice, only cucumber and eggs.

Of course, it's not chicken breast for every meal, because even Tierra would find that unbearable. So Tierra also occasionally orders grilled fish, pan-fried steak, or lamb and pea soup.

"You tell me..." Harry suddenly asked after he had eaten and drunk his fill, "What do you think the teachers left there with a three-headed dog to guard?"

"Do you think it could be the thing Hagrid took from Vault 713?" Harry suddenly asked Tierra.

"After all, Hagrid told us that the safest place in the world, besides Gringotts, is Hogwarts!"

Harry, who had been watching Tierra, noticed that Tierra rolled her eyes slightly before looking up from her book.

I'm so sorry everyone, I was suddenly pulled away by my supervisor to plant rice today, so the update is a bit late. There might only be one update today, but I'll make up for it with five updates tomorrow!
