Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 413 Tiera's Laughing Shop
Chapter 413 Tiera's Joke Shop
By dinner time, Harry had completely figured things out and felt ashamed of his earlier thoughts. Therefore, before dinner, Harry gave Hermione and Ron a big hug and then solemnly congratulated them.
"I... I thought you were angry." Seeing Harry like this, Ron breathed a sigh of relief and happily hugged him back.
“I thought so too.” Hermione reached out and hugged Harry, then ruffled his hair and said with a smile, “I thought you were jealous because you were so cold to me just now.”
“Oh, I, no, I didn’t…” Harry stammered, his eyes darting around, “I, I was just thinking about Tyella…”
Harry said somewhat guiltily.
“Yes…” Hermione said, “If Tyella were still here… this prefect would definitely be his…”
“Hmm.” Ron nodded as well.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione seemed to have returned to their old ways, happily going to the kitchen in the basement and finding a place to sit.
Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, and Kingsley Shackleton had already arrived. Shortly after Harry poured himself, Ron, and Hermione a Butterbeer, Mad-Eye Moody walked in with heavy steps.
“Oh, Alastor, I’m so glad to see you,” Mrs. Weasley said happily as Mad-Eye took off his travel cloak. “We’ve been wanting to ask you for a long time… could you take a look at that writing desk in the living room and tell us what’s inside? We’ve been too afraid to open it, fearing it might be a particularly nasty fellow.”
“No problem, Molly.” Moody’s electric blue eyes darted upwards, staring intently at the kitchen ceiling.
“The living room?” he said gruffly, his pupils shrinking. “The desk in the corner? Ah, I see, yes, it’s a Boggart. Should I go up and get it out, Molly?”
“No, no need, I’ll do it myself in a bit,” Mrs. Weasley said with a smile. “Have a drink. Actually, are we having a little celebration?”
She pointed to the bright red banner, "The fourth grade leader in the family!"
Then Mrs. Weasley ruffled Ron's hair and said affectionately.
“Prefect, oh?” Moody growled, his ordinary eye fixed on Ron, while his magical eye darted around, peering out from his head to the side.
Harry had a very uncomfortable feeling, as if those eyes were looking at him, and he turned to look at Sirius and Lupin.
“Well, congratulations,” Moody said, still staring at Ron with his ordinary eye.
Ron felt a chill run down his spine.
But just then his father and older brother returned, and he finally found an excuse to ignore Moody's stare.
Mrs. Weasley was delighted and didn't even complain that they had brought Mundungus along.
Mundungus was wearing a long coat that was bulging and bulky in various places, which looked strange, and he refused to take it off and put it with Moody's travel cloak.
“Well then, I think we may raise our glasses now,” said Mr. Weasley, raising his stemmed glass after everyone had received their drinks. “Congratulations to Ron and Hermione on their election as Prefects of Gryffindor!”
Everyone raised their glasses in celebration, then applauded enthusiastically. Ron and Hermione were beaming with joy.
“I’ve never been a prefect myself,” Tonks said excitedly behind Harry as everyone crowded around the table for food. Today, her hair was as red as a tomato and reached her waist, making her look like Ginny’s sister. “Our headmaster said I lack certain essential qualities.”
"For example, what?" Ginny asked as she picked out a baked potato.
“For example, you can’t follow the rules,” Tonks said. Ginny laughed. Hermione seemed unsure whether she should laugh too, so she compromised by taking a big gulp of butterbeer, only to choke.
Mundungus seemed to have something to say to George or Fred Weasley, but stopped talking as soon as he saw Harry. However, Fred winked and gestured for Harry to come over.
“It’s alright,” he told Mundungus. “We can trust Harry; he’s our benefactor!”
“Look what Mundungus brought us,” George said, opening his palm to show Harry a pile of dried, black bean pods that, though motionless, made a soft rustling sound.
“The seeds of the poison tentacles,” George said. “We need them for our quick-acting skip-school candy, but they’re a Class C prohibited trade item, so we’ve had a hard time getting them.” “Ten Galleons for these, Tango?” Mundungus said. “I went through a lot of trouble to get these!”
His relaxed, bloodshot eyes stretched even narrower.
“Sorry, lads, I won’t touch anyone under twenty,” Mundungus said.
“Sorry, Mundungus just likes to joke around a little,” Fred said to Harry.
“Yeah, one of his best jokes was that he was charging six sieves for a bag of quill pens,” George said.
"Be careful," Harry whispered a warning to them.
"What's wrong?" Fred asked. "Mom's busy whispering sweet nothings with Prefect Ron. We're fine."
“But Moody might be watching you,” Harry pointed out.
Mundungus nervously turned his head to look.
“That’s right,” he muttered. “Alright, lads, ten it is, as long as you get them out of here quickly.”
“Thank you, Harry!” Fred said happily. Mundungus had already emptied his pockets into the twins’ outstretched hands, then hurried over to get something to eat.
“Harry, I have more good news for you,” George whispered, plopping down next to Harry. “Our joke shop is about to open!”
“Congratulations…” Harry said.
“In memory of Tierra,” Fred said, sitting down beside him, “we’ve decided to name our joke shop—”
“Tierra’s Joke Shop!” the Weasley twins said simultaneously.
A ripple suddenly stirred in Harry's heart, a touch of emotion welling up within him.
"Live Tierra forever." George and Fred raised their glasses.
"May Tierra live on forever," Harry said sadly.
……
The eternal Tyrell stood in full regalia outside the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts.
Tierra donned a bright red papal robe, beneath which lay a tightly fitted black priest's vestment.
Tierra, like a true priest, held a thick book in one hand and a cane in the other, strutting proudly and arrogantly, and slammed the cane down on the damp, decaying ground of the Forbidden Forest.
Deep within the Forbidden Forest, a faint red glow emanated from above Tiera's tomb.
The red light gradually coalesced into the shape of Tiera.
At the grave, Mrs. Rosie, Igor Kakalov, and Hathaway Romanov struggled to raise their heads.
“It’s been a long time, Mrs. Roselle, Miss Romanov, and Mr. Karkarov,” Tiera said with a beaming smile. “The moonlight is beautiful tonight, isn’t it?”
