Chapter 438 Acquisition of Power

Chapter 438 Acquisition of Power

Most who become gods possess a single divinity and a triple authority.

This refers to the divine coordinates they ultimately obtain and the authority represented by the three "stairs" incorporated into the ritual of becoming a god, also known as the "triple crown worn by the gods."

The process of ascending from a four-dimensional deity to the level of an Old One in a five-dimensional single universe is the process of completing the "foundation" and "pillar".

Simply put, a normal god needs to first accommodate the three corresponding powers based on the three powers they possess, together forming the six pillars that support the new monolithic universe.

After the six pillars are complete, find a divinity that is completely opposite to your own divinity, devour this opposite divinity, and put your fourth dimension into a quantum superposition state. The two completely opposite divinities in the fourth dimension repel each other, entangle, influence each other, and superimpose to form the cornerstone of the new universe, the singularity of the Big Bang.

The six authorities act as six pillars to prevent the singularity from collapsing and to support the birth of the new universe.

But it's simple when it comes to Tierra—

During Tiera's ascension to godhood, he experienced three collapses, thereby acquiring the divinity of "chaos".

"Chaos" divinity is a very special type of divinity—

"Chaos" has no opposite –

In other words, chaos itself is a singularity. Tiera only needs to complete two and a half powers as pillars. She does not need to find a completely opposite divinity and then risk turning the two divinities into a quantum superposition state. She can use "chaos" as a foundation to stably ascend to the fifth dimension and become an Old One at the level of a single universe.

There are only two ways to obtain power—

Learn, or plunder.

Plunder goes without saying; while it's the fastest way to gain power, it's also the most dangerous. Because if one tries to acquire enough power to support a new universe through plunder, it means three things—

It requires either devouring a god, devouring a divine being, or performing a ritual to invoke that authority from a higher-dimensional being.

Take, for example, the "Time" authority that Tiera is currently learning. He can devour a god who has gained the divinity of "Time," or devour the Hound of Tindaros or the great race of Yith, or summon Yogg-Sothoth again and ask him to grant him the gift of time.

Clearly, each of these situations is more dangerous than the last.

However, from another perspective, during Tiera's ascension ritual, a time converter and the "time" blessing of the great race Is were incorporated. While these temporal powers were insufficient to form authority within Tiera, they did grant her the talent of "time," or half of "time" authority. Therefore, Tiera intends to pursue a different path in acquiring "time" authority—

Learn.

Tiera already possesses the talent of "time" and a forbidden book in the library, so she can completely acquire the power of "time" through learning.

This was also the original intention behind Tierra's experiments with Umbridge.

As for the Tindaros Hound, fish it out if you can, and then decide whether to swallow it or release it based on its strength.

Anyway, it was Umbridge who traveled through time, what does that have to do with me, Tiera?
Even if the Tindaros Hound is too strong, it's Umbridge who will be the ones causing trouble.

If the Tindaros hound is relatively weak
Then Tierra had no choice but to be blunt.

Who would bother learning if they could simply devour and gain power?

Study? Study my ass!

As for how a single universe in the fifth dimension can evolve into a multiverse—

It wasn't mentioned in the book.

To be precise, no book will, and cannot, directly describe the method for crossing from the fifth to the sixth dimension.

Because no one has ever tried to cross it.

After all, apart from the three pillar gods and Azathoth, the Outer Gods of the sixth dimension are the highest beings, and once you reach the fifth dimension, you can face the Outer Gods directly without going mad.

Therefore, for the Great Old Ones who have already reached the fifth dimension, further advancement is far more dangerous than beneficial, and the path remains unclear.

After all, apart from Yogg-Sothoth, no Outer God would willingly grant a method to cross from the fifth to the sixth dimension. Of the pillars Tyrell already possesses, the authority of "Time" can be gradually acquired through learning and accumulation, and the authority of "Death" isn't urgent either. The only truly difficult matter now is the authority of "Annihilation"—

After taking notes, Tierra quickly finished the last bite of her steak, gently placed her knife and fork on the table, and then said to Dobby:

"Mr. Dobby, would you also like to make me a lamb and pea soup, a honey-roasted chicken, a toast, and a fruit platter?"

“Yes, sir, coming right away, sir,” Dobby said, then snapped his fingers and disappeared from the principal’s office.

“After all, it would be a shame to put on such a great show without some delicious food,” Tierra said with a smile, pulling out a die—

"Umbridge, screaming as she rose from her hospital bed, didn't pause for long. She summoned Passivesley—the ambitious new secretary; Sito Phelps—an Auror secretly practicing Dark Arts; and Bartlow Catton—a master of dispelling curses who enjoyed watching others suffer—and led them to the abandoned girls' washroom on the second floor of Hogwarts—"

"Clearly, Dolores Umbridge still trusts Passivesley quite a bit. Having no other ideas for the moment, Umbridge decided to first check the place where Passivesley said there were strange sounds coming from."

“So, let’s see what their haul will be this time—” Tiera rolled the hundred-sided die—

“d100(32)”

“It’s just a typical strange event,” Tierra said with a smile.

The Umbridge group, already standing in the girls' restroom, listened attentively to Passivesley's report, then winked at the antidote master, Barthold Caton—

Barthold Caton waved his wand and chanted a spell.

A beam of red light flew out from the tip of his staff, transforming into a fist-sized red ball of light in mid-air.

After circling the entire bathroom, the ball of light flew back into Bartholomew's wand.

It seems like nothing has been gained.

Bartholdon was not discouraged, but instead tried a few more spells—

However, most of them, like the first spell, had no effect.

It wasn't until a wisp of pale yellow smoke rose from the tip of Bartholomew's wand that it finally took effect—

The pale yellow smoke drifted in the air above the girls' restroom for a while before settling above the sink.

“There’s a secret passage here,” Bartholdon said after checking it with a few more spells. “Everyone, step back.”

After saying that, Bartholomew Carton waved his wand fiercely and chanted towards the sink—

"Burning flames!"

A burst of flame shot out, but after the flames subsided, the sink remained unchanged; even the marble countertop wasn't charred.

"Crush to pieces!" Barthold Caton said, waving his wand again.

But it's still useless.

"Stop the incantation immediately!" "All incantations are united!" "Break through the barrier!"
Barthold tried nearly ten more spells, but still to no avail; the washbasin in the bathroom remained unchanged.

A girl's nimble laughter came from one of the toilet stalls in the washroom.

It was a drab female ghost with long, straight hair and thick glasses.

Even as a ghost, she couldn't hide the youthful glow of collagen on her face.

“If I were you, I wouldn’t waste my energy,” Myrtle said with a charming smile. “This secret passage can only be opened with a spell. No, it should be opened with a fabricated language.”
