Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 508 The Magic University Project

Chapter 508 The Magic University Project
“Yes!” Harry nodded heavily, as if the gloom that had been hanging over him for days had suddenly dissipated—

Tiera is still Tiera. What has distanced him from Tiera is power. Now is the time when Tiera needs him the most.

"Alright, let's enjoy this feast first." Dumbledore led Harry back to Ron's side and said with a smile, "Since the Quidditch World Cup two years ago, the British Ministry of Magic has rarely held such a grand event."

“I think this event is much better than that Quidditch World Cup!” Ron walked over carrying a tray full of food, picking up a chicken wing and eating it as he went. “Dad gave us his boiled sandwiches at the Quidditch World Cup. If it weren’t for the candy and snack stalls in the camp, we probably would have starved to death before the Death Eaters came to cause trouble.”

Upon hearing Ron's words, Mr. Weasley, who was standing to the side, gave an awkward smile.

“Arthur! Didn’t I tell you that a simple heating spell would have been enough to heat up the sandwich I made for you? Why did you have to boil it?” Mrs. Weasley said sternly from the side.

“Well,” Mr. Weasley scratched his head awkwardly, “because… because to prevent the Muggles from finding out that I’m going to cook entirely the Muggle way.”

"Then tell me, how did you start the fire?" Mrs. Weasley asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Uh, the Flaming Curse,” Mr. Weasley said, even more embarrassed.

“But this time there definitely won’t be any Death Eaters causing trouble.” Ron said with his mouth full of food while his parents were bickering. “After the Mystic was defeated by Tiera, he’s probably hiding somewhere we can’t find him, like a rat in a gutter. His men are probably keeping their tails between their legs too.”

Dumbledore:
I hadn't realized before that Ron, this simpleton, had the talent of a prophet.

"Hehe." Dumbledore chuckled awkwardly but politely, "There probably won't be any more."

“Oh, right, Harry, we’ve talked enough about Tyrell. Let’s talk about you, Harry, Ron, and Hermione,” Dumbledore said. “Tyrell, though he still wants to finish his studies at Hogwarts, has actually graduated and his future is secured. But what about you? What kind of work do you want to do?”

"Work?" Harry seemed taken aback by the question, then fell into thought. "Work...?"

"You'll be in sixth grade after the start of the school year, Harry," Dumbledore said kindly but helplessly. "This time next year, I'll be attending your graduation ceremony."

“Oh, oh, yes, yes,” Harry said nervously, then added in a very unsure voice, “After graduation, I, I want to be an Auror and hunt down dark wizards.”

This was Harry's original idea, and it's been his unwavering belief all along.

After learning that his parents had died at the hands of Voldemort, and witnessing that Tyrell had also died at Voldemort's hands, Harry once studied and worked hard with the goal of becoming an Auror.

but now--

But after a year that was too magical even from a wizard's perspective, and after witnessing a great power far beyond his imagination, Harry became less certain about his goals and ideals as an Auror.

Harry was almost immediately captivated and drawn to that immense power. He felt like an ant that had always lived in a small, dark anthill, and suddenly one day, the anthill was opened from the outside, revealing a real and vast world to Harry, the little ant.

So why would Harry want to retreat back into that cramped anthill?
“What I mean is… I want to be an Auror while working hard to improve my magical skills and strength… to try… to try… to catch up with Tyella as soon as possible…” Harry’s voice trailed off as he spoke.

“You can’t have your cake and eat it too, Harry,” Dumbledore said with a smile.

"What? What do you mean?" Harry looked at Dumbledore, completely bewildered.

“That’s an old Chinese saying,” Dumbledore said with a smile. “It’s what Tyrell told me. It means that it’s hard to have what you like and what everyone else desires at the same time.”

"Honestly, even though Little Tierra came to England at the age of six, he has an extraordinary understanding of Chinese history, culture, ancient language, and even the development of modern society." Dumbledore added casually, "It's really puzzling."

“So that means…” Harry said hesitantly.

"In other words, you might need to decide quickly what you really want to do," Dumbledore added. "Either study magic or become an Auror."

“I think… I also want to obtain magical power as strong as Tierra’s, but I don’t know how to get started…” Harry said dejectedly.

“Perhaps you could,” Dumbledore said with a mischievous wink. “Tierra is planning to start a magical university.”

"A university?" Hermione was the first to react, exclaiming excitedly, "Tierra is going to start a university?"

“Yes.” Dumbledore sighed. “Tierra felt that the education in the wizarding world was too uneven… so he decided to start a wizarding university.”

"The first batch of courses includes the principles of alchemy, taught by Nicholas Flamel; an introduction to Eastern sorcery, taught by Wu Peirong; an introduction to flesh magic, taught by Maka-Fal-Monkasha; an introduction to demonology and magical arithmetic, taught by Chief Thunderbird; an in-depth explanation of advanced dark magic, taught by Slytherin; and..." Dumbledore sighed again, "...in-depth instruction in Defense Against the Dark Arts, which I will teach."

"This is just the undergraduate curriculum. Undergraduate courses will also include more advanced subjects such as Potions, Magical Zoology, Botany, Transfiguration, and so on..." Dumbledore said. "After graduating from undergraduate magic, you can choose to continue your studies and take the entrance exam for postgraduate magic. At the postgraduate level, you can independently conduct research on a topic to solve a certain problem in the magical world."

"After completing the project, you can get a Master's degree in magic, and the next level is a Doctor of Magic. You'll need to invent at least one spell to graduate," Dumbledore said, then shook his head and sighed. "From now on, graduating from Hogwarts alone won't be enough. The wizarding world will probably require a Bachelor's degree in magic, a Master's degree in magic, and even a Doctor of Magic... It'll be hell..."

"No...it's heaven!" Hermione exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.
