Chapter 512 The show begins

“I would like to,” Dumbledore sighed. For some reason, he suddenly lost interest in continuing to pimp and found a stool next to Bathilda Bagshot to sit down. “But Tyella is not Gellert. He is not even a little like Gellert.”

"Sigh," Mrs. Bathilda Baghdad sighed softly, then slowly looked around—

“Today…today…the atmosphere is a bit off,” said Bashid al-Bashat. “The expressions on many people’s faces…don’t look like they’re here for a celebration.”

“Yes,” Dumbledore replied, “they are certainly not here for the inauguration.”

"Then...then why...why do they...why do they wear their thoughts and ideas on their faces?" Mrs. Bashida Bashat asked again.

“Not everyone is as old as we are, Aunt Bagshot,” Dumbledore explained patiently. “Not everyone can tell the difference between a genuine smile and a forced one.”

"So, does Little Tierra know about Little Tierra?" Bashita Bashat asked.

“Of course he knew,” Dumbledore said, “but he just wanted it to happen… He was powerful enough to completely ignore any intrigue or trickery.”

"..." Mrs. Bashida Bashat opened her mouth, about to say something—

"My colleagues! My compatriots! Welcome!" A powerful voice suddenly rang out, filling every corner of the venue with the help of magical amplification equipment. Everyone spontaneously stopped talking or put down what they were doing, turning their gaze forward—

They looked toward the stage at the far end of the banquet hall.

In the very center of the stage, Connelly Fudge, dressed in a well-tailored dark blue suit, looked down at the crowd with a radiant face.

Behind Cornelius Fudge, a little further back from the stage, was a row of chairs filled with men, women, children, and all sorts of wizards and witches.

Sitting on the far left of all the seats was Salazar Slytherin, wearing sunglasses. A little to the right were several empty seats, with the backs of the seats labeled "Master Alchemist Mr. Nicholas Flamel", "Master Alchemist Ms. Wu Peirong", "Magic Historian Ms. Bathilda Bagshot" and "Hogwarts Headmaster Mr. Albus Dumbledore".

Clearly, as this was the most important day in the history of the British wizarding world, and in order to bolster the legitimacy of his rule, Cornelius Fudge, on Tyella's advice, also sent invitations to these titans of the wizarding world and reserved seats for them on the stage.

However, for some unknown reason, Nicholas Lemai and Wu Peirong did not appear at the event, while Dumbledore and Bathilda Bagshot, although present, did not sit on the stage as invited in the invitation, but instead found a seat in the center of the venue at random.

A little to the right are Chief Thunderbird and Ms. Serafina Piccolo, former president of the American Magical Union.

Because Cornelius Fudge's rise to power was far from glorious, even bordering on a farce, the Ministries of Magic and magical institutions outside of Britain, while sending their congratulations quickly, did not want to make any premature statements. Therefore, for this formal occasion, the American Magical Union, the French Ministry of Magic, the German Ministry of Magic, the Bulgarian Ministry of Magic, the Australian Ministry of Magic, the North African Magical Union, the South African Magical Union, the East Asian Magical Community, and the Russian Magical Society did not send their official officials to Cornelius Fudge's inauguration ceremony.

The American Magical Union sent their former president, Ms. Seraphina Piccolo, and Chief Thunderbird, who was already in England.

The French Ministry of Magic had intended to contact Nicolas Flamel to attend the inauguration ceremony, but for some unknown reason, Flamel refused to attend. Therefore, the French Ministry of Magic had no choice but to send Aristotle Mennes Ziberuk, the former head of the Department of Law Enforcement, to Cornelius Fudge's inauguration.

The same situation applies to other ministries of magic, which send retired former officials or new officials who have not yet officially joined the force.

Tierra and Cornelius were fully aware of the situation and didn't care much. As Tierra had said before, only absolute power can bring absolute authority.

Outside of Britain, the Ministry of Magic's understanding of Tyella was limited to "a genius young wizard who avoided death through special means." Therefore, until Tyella demonstrated sufficient power to intimidate them, they would not easily express their opinions, much less take sides.

After all, no one can say for sure how long this "Connelly-Fudge-Tierra coalition government" will last.

This is why they sent a wizard who has considerable influence in the magical communities of various countries, but who does not represent the official stance of the Ministry of Magic, to attend Cornelius Fudge's inauguration ceremony.

Although they did not have accurate intelligence, based on their keen insight honed over years of political experience, they believed that today's inauguration ceremony would likely not go smoothly.

They also wanted to know how the Connelly-Fudge-Tierra coalition government would respond to this situation.

Both Tierra and Connelly Fudge could fully understand this situation. If they were in the same position as those foreign colleagues, they would also choose to give an ambiguous attitude first, and then watch the show up close.

But the only thing Tierra couldn't understand was the attitude of the Chinese Ministry of Magic, or rather, the Chinese Folklore and Religious Association—

They didn't send anyone.

The Chinese Folklore and Religious Association did not even reply to Tierra's invitation.

To demonstrate his humility, Tiera sat in the lowest seat on the far right.

"My colleagues, my fellow countrymen," Cornelius Fudge said excitedly into the magical microphone from the podium, "I am delighted to welcome you all, to welcome you to stand here, under the same roof as me, to witness this great moment—"

It must be said that although Cornelius Fudge has no talent in magic, he is indeed a politician who is blessed by God.

He was perfectly aware that a large number of old nobles within the Ministry of Magic opposed him, and that Tyrell was merely using him as a tool. Yet, at this moment, his expression, his eyes, and his gestures during the speech exuded an unparalleled confidence and persuasive power.

It's as if this inauguration ceremony truly marks the beginning of a new era.

Tierra, sitting at the very back of the guest seating area, smiled faintly.

In his perception, Voldemort had already reached the vicinity of Hogwarts and had made contact with Snape, who was staying inside Hogwarts, through the Dark Lord's mark. He believed that soon, Snape would bring Voldemort into Hogwarts, just as Dumbledore had told him the night before.

And here——

Tierra looked up at the bustling crowd below the stage.

The real show is about to begin.
