Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 514 Rebellion
Chapter 514 Rebellion
As Cornelius looked at her for help, Tierra slowly stood up from her seat and calmly walked toward Cornelius's podium.
Cornelius tried to move aside to make room for Tierra, but Tierra grabbed him and held him firmly on the podium.
“Well then, madam…” Tiera stood beside the podium, looking down at Umbridge, who was disguised in the audience.
“Charlotte Selwyn!” Umbridge said arrogantly.
“Miss Selwyn, you look unfamiliar,” Tiera said with a light laugh.
“I just returned to my country recently,” Umbridge said without batting an eye. “My great-grandfather was the third son of old Eretselwyn. Our branch settled in North Trondrag County, Norway, with my great-grandfather. I recently returned to handle my cousin’s funeral.”
Umbridge deliberately emphasized the word "funeral".
“Selwyn…” Tiera said, feigning thought, “Godwin Selwyn?”
Godwin Selwyn was one of the Death Eaters Voldemort sent to capture Harry during the Ministry of Magic riots.
Ultimately, he was beheaded by one of the three knights, "War," "Plague," or "Famine," and his head was used as one of the materials for Tiera to forge the "Death" authority.
“Exactly,” Umbridge said. “That was my cousin. I learned that he was framed as a Death Eater and killed during the turmoil at the Ministry of Magic a little over a week ago. Besides handling my cousin’s funeral, I came to England recently to investigate this matter.”
"Framed?" Tiera sneered.
“Yes,” Umbridge replied, her tone sharp but her voice weak. “I initially thought there might be some misunderstanding, but now it seems—”
"This is your way of purging us pure-blood wizards!" Umbridge shouted menacingly, pointing a thick finger at Tiera. "You're a wizard from a Muggle family, right? That means you're Muggle! This isn't some historical process, it has nothing to do with the Dark Lord or Voldemort! You, a Muggle, just want to eliminate all pure-blood wizards so you can become a Mudblood Dark Lord yourself!"
Dolores Umbridge's sharp, sarcastic voice, like a stone thrown into a pond, stirred up a thousand ripples—
Discussions, boos, and heated protests rose and fell, gradually turning into insults, calls for Tiera's arrest, and debris being thrown onto the stage, all orchestrated by those with ulterior motives.
The various delicacies that Tiera had carefully prepared were all turned into weapons to attack Tiera.
But it was all for naught. All the debris, which had been targeted at Tiera by a wizard with ulterior motives in the audience, somehow ended up either in front of Tiera, beside him, or over his head and behind him.
Even the splattering soup cleverly avoided Tiera, not sticking to any part of his body.
Tierra ignored the rioters below the stage and looked into the distance with a smug smile on her face.
With Severus Snape's help, Voldemort had crossed the barrier set up by Dumbledore and entered Hogwarts.
“Master, we are now within the boundaries of Hogwarts. Do you need my assistance?” Snape asked, bowing his head slightly.
“No need, Snape. Go about your business as usual,” Voldemort said, staring at Snape with his cold, scarlet eyes. “Yes, my master,” Snape replied, bowing his head. He then slowly backed away until he was no longer enveloped by that terrifying, serpentine gaze.
Snape calmly and collectedly returned to his Potions office in the basement, gently locked the door, and then, just as Voldemort had instructed, sat down at his workbench and began to prepare the potion he had previously failed to complete.
After Snape informed Dumbledore of Voldemort's actions the previous night, Dumbledore initially showed some surprise, but quickly regained his composure. In his usual calm tone, he told Snape to bring Voldemort into Hogwarts the next day. Once Voldemort was inside, Snape was to leave him alone and not interfere unless he intended to harm anyone or anything in the castle. Snape was also instructed not to monitor Voldemort or risk contacting anyone from the Order of the Phoenix.
Although Snape was puzzled by Dumbledore's orders, out of professional ethics as a spy and trust in Dumbledore, he did not ask too many questions. Instead, following Dumbledore's orders, he let Voldemort in and then immediately locked himself in his small laboratory, ignoring everything else.
After stepping through the gates of Hogwarts, Voldemort did not brazenly barge into the castle. Instead, he first waved his wand, casting an Illusion Charm to make himself appear invisible before stepping across the lawn in front of Hogwarts Castle and heading towards the castle gates.
Voldemort encountered no ambush after entering the castle gates, nor did he see a single person. Only a few house-elves were idly cleaning the corridors and wiping the dust off the murals and picture frames on the walls.
The murals on the walls seemed dull and drowsy due to the sweltering summer heat, and Voldemort doubted that they would notice him even if he dispelled the Disillusionment Charm and walked right past them.
Even so, Voldemort remained vigilant, maintaining the Disillusionment Charm and constantly observing his surroundings.
There was still no ambush.
Voldemort did not encounter any ambush until he reached the abandoned girls' washroom on the third floor via the ever-changing staircase and stood in front of the bronze dragon head engraved with the snake symbol. In fact, apart from the house-elves cleaning and the patrolling dormitory supervisor Fitch, Voldemort did not encounter any teachers.
"Open!" Voldemort commanded in Parseltongue. He had no time to think, nor did he care whether there were traps inside; he only wanted to open the secret chamber as quickly as possible and glimpse the secret of Tierra's ascension to godhood—
The copper faucet that had stopped dispensing water began to change. As if pulled by some force, the faucet and the sink it was connected to slowly shattered, revealing a bottomless abyss beneath the ground.
Voldemort thought for a moment, then released the Disillusionment Charm, transformed into a wisp of black smoke, and flew into the cave entrance.
The Ministry of Magic's main hall.
At this point, Connelly Fudge's inauguration ceremony now seems to have completely degenerated into a farce.
Led by Charlotte Selwyn, other pure-blood families in the British wizarding world also responded, calling for Cornelius Fudge to step down and demanding severe punishment for the "murderer" Tyella.
Amidst the growing cheers, the Muggle soldiers, assigned by Tyella to maintain order at various posts in the venue, rapidly approached the podium, their guns pointed at Tyella.
At the same time, seemingly out of nowhere, a large group of Knockturn Alley dark wizards hired by pure-blood families appeared, along with Aurors affiliated with various pure-blood families, and Death Eaters disguised as Aurors and normal guests. They emerged from the crowd, drew their wands, pointed them at Tiera, and formed an encirclement with the Muggle soldiers, closing in on Tiera.
“I see you all as so ignorant and pathetic.” Tiera stood on the platform, indifferently surveying the approaching encirclement. “Sometimes you are hopelessly stupid.”
"Enough!" Umbridge roared. "Arrest him!"
