Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 562 Professor Tierra
Chapter 562 Professor Tierra
“Then they are in your hands.” After everyone had crossed the light circle and arrived at Hogwarts, Tyella said to another Tyella who came out of Hogwarts.
“Of course, Tierra.” Another Tierra—
He was wearing a gold-red papal robe, gold-rimmed glasses, and a dark red wizard's hat.
"Thank you for your hard work, Tiera," Tiera said.
"Hehe, you'll have to work hard from now on, Professor Tierra," said Tierra.
"It's not hard work." Professor Tierra shook hands with Tierra, making it seem like a formality.
"Well then, goodbye Harry, goodbye Ron, goodbye Ginny," Tierra said, taking a step back and creating a human-shaped hole in mid-air.
As Tiera disappeared, the hole in mid-air also vanished.
“You can go in yourselves,” Professor Tierra said with a smile. “I’ll wait here…”
Before Tiera could finish speaking, another portal of light opened in front of him—
First, several suitcases flew out, nimbly flying towards the Gryffindor Tower like little birds. Then, Tyra, who had just disappeared, walked out of the portal with Hermione.
"Harry! Ron!"
As soon as Hermione stepped out of the portal, she gave Harry and Ron a hug.
“Okay, long time no see, Hermione.” Ron awkwardly broke free from Hermione’s embrace.
"Long time no see, Ron." Hermione casually let go of Ron and Harry.
"Hmm...long time no see, Hermione," Harry said. "How was your summer?"
“Fantastic!” Hermione exclaimed. “I…”
Hermione hesitated for a moment, then looked at Tyella—
The student Tyrell disappeared again to pick up the other students from Dumbledore's army, leaving Professor Tyrell standing at the door.
“I finished the workbook that Tyrell gave me this summer,” Hermione said, seeing Professor Tyrell nod. “I also successfully mastered a few dark… a few magical spells.”
“What?” Harry asked in surprise. “But Hermione, we’re not allowed to use magic outside of school! How did you practice?”
“I helped,” Professor Tierra said gently.
"Huh?" Harry said in surprise, "Why aren't you helping me practice my magic?"
"Have you all finished the math problems I left you?" Tiera countered. "Have you learned the magical constructs I taught you last semester?"
“Or take it a step further,” Tierra continued aggressively, “did any of you even open the workbooks I gave you during the summer vacation?”
"And you still need me to help you practice magic?" Tiera shook her head and sighed. "Am I helping you practice magic or helping you collect your corpses?"
Harry lowered his head in embarrassment and remained silent.
“Harry, magic is not child’s play…” Tyella paused, “To be precise, from now on you will be in my classes…”
“Ah, Neville, long time no see.” Tiera’s words were interrupted halfway by a portal that suddenly opened. “Long time… um… didn’t we just meet?” Neville said, puzzled. “The Tiera you met was as a student; the Tiera you meet now is as a professor.”
“Is…is anything different…?” Neville asked.
“I can deduct points now,” Tierra said with a sly grin.
“Uh…” Neville immediately fell silent.
"Where was I just now?"
“Child's play,” Hermione said curtly.
“Yes, to be precise, everything you will learn in my classes from now on will be completely different from the childish magic you learned before,” Tierra said. “So, just like in Dumbledore’s Army training class last semester, you will do exercises first, then constructs. Once I think you are qualified in constructs, I will teach you spells and you will practice casting spells under my protection.”
“But…but…but Tiera…” Neville asked, “My…my grandmother…my grandmother won’t let me learn these things…can I…can I not learn them?”
“Of course you can,” Tyella said with a smile. “You have been trained in Dumbledore’s Army last semester, and your combat skills are already stronger than 80% of the regular students at Hogwarts. You can choose the easier Defense Stance class.”
"Defense Force class?" Neville, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny asked in confusion.
“With Headmaster Dumbledore’s permission, Hogwarts has now split the original Defense Against the Dark Arts class into a Dark Arts class, which I will teach, and a Defense Against the Dark Arts class…” Tyella paused, “and Professor Snape will teach it.”
“Snape!” Neville almost screamed.
“Because of the current dire situation,” Tierra explained, “you must choose at least one of the Dark Arts or Defense Stance classes.”
"..." Neville's face looked even worse than if he had been crying.
“A compulsory course for students in the fourth grade and above,” Tierra added.
“But…but…but we already learned it last semester…do we need to learn it again?” Neville said with a mournful face.
“Last semester involved illegal training and illegal gatherings,” Tierra explained, “which doesn’t count as regular school hours.”
“But…” Neville wanted to say something more.
“Alright, go ahead,” Tiera interrupted. “Go pack your things. Because of the Economic Law of the Magical Union, nearly two-thirds of the house-elves in Hogwarts Castle have been sent to factories and stalls. Although some alchemical lifeforms have replaced some of the house-elves’ duties inside the castle, those alchemical lifeforms are still… well… a bit inexperienced. They don’t do many things well and need wizards or house-elves to direct them from behind. Today, the house-elves are busy in the kitchen preparing for tonight’s dinner and don’t have time to direct those alchemical lifeforms to help you make your beds and rooms, so you may need to help yourselves.”
As Tiera was speaking, the portal of light appeared once again.
"Ah, Luna, welcome!" Professor Tierra said with a smile, stepping forward to give Luna a big hug.
Luna now seemed much more cheerful, blinking her bright eyes as she looked at Professor Tierra and then turned to look at Tierra herself.
“Aren’t you all the same?” Luna asked. “Why do you greet me twice?”
“That way you’ll have two more friends,” Tiera said with a smile. “Alright, hurry up and pack your things. We released a bunch of house-elves, and the rest are preparing dinner. You might need to make your bed yourself.”
"Hmm... I'm looking forward to your classes this semester, Professor Tierra." Luna winked playfully, then skipped and hopped towards the castle without looking back.
