Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 672 Resurrection Chapter Holiday + Update Explanation

Chapter 672 Easter Holiday + Update Explanation
“Uh… okay, okay…” Harry was stunned by Tyella’s shaking.

"Good luck." After receiving Harry's affirmative answer, Tyella slowly took a few steps back and smiled with satisfaction. "Remember, Harry, your time is running out."

After saying that, Tiera retreated back into the window and, like a ghost, slowly drifted towards the surrounding mirrors.

Harry was left alone, standing there lost in thought.

“What do you mean by ‘you don’t have much time left’?” Hermione asked, puzzled, at breakfast the next day. “Couldn’t he have been more specific? Oh my goodness!”

Hermione sighed with extreme helplessness, "I really hate Tyella's habit of only saying half of what she means."

Harry and Ron nodded in agreement.

"Can't he just tell us everything at once?" Hermione grumbled. "We've known each other for six years, and he still only tells us half the story."

"Sigh, never mind, let's not talk about him anymore." Hermione shook her head in annoyance. "I don't understand why Snape stopped teaching you Occlumency?"

“Well, because…” Harry muttered, “because Snape thinks I have some basic knowledge now and can learn on my own by following the books.”

Harry simply couldn't tell anyone, including Hermione and Ron, about being caught peeking into Snape's Pensieve and about Snape's memories inside the Pensieve.

"So that means you can create a pseudo-spiritual dimension that can close off your own spiritual dimension?" Hermione asked doubtfully.

"Um, pretty much," Harry said guiltily, his eyes not looking at Hermione but darting around aimlessly.

"What does it feel like?" Hermione asked excitedly.

“Um... it’s hard to describe,” Harry stammered. “It’s like a sharp spike is piercing your brain, but it hits a wad of cotton before it actually hits, and then it stops. Your Occlumency is that wad of cotton.”

“Oh, I see,” Hermione said thoughtfully. “What amazing magic.”

“However, Harry, I still think Snape shouldn’t stop teaching you Occlumency unless you’re absolutely certain you can create a barrier that completely blocks Legilimency,” Hermione said, a hint of indignation in her voice. “Harry, I think you should go see him, please—”

“No!” Harry interrupted Hermione before she could finish speaking, “Please don’t talk about this anymore, Hermione, okay?”

Harry pleaded, for every time Hermione mentioned Snape's Occlumency class, it brought back the memory he had seen in Snape's Pensieve—the ugly faces of his father and Sirius, as if the Dursleys had bullied him.

This left Harry feeling both pained and conflicted, as well as deeply helpless.

Today is the first day of the Easter holiday, and Hermione, as usual, spent most of the day creating a study schedule for the three of them, and insisted that Harry and Ron strictly adhere to it.

“Things are different now!” Hermione exclaimed. “Tiera went to so much trouble to open the door to a higher magical world for us. As his friends, we can’t fall behind. We have to keep up with him!”

"Okay, okay." Harry and Ron could only let her do as she pleased. After all, it was much easier than arguing with her, and besides, the timetable might come in handy.

— Especially when Ron was surprised to find that there were only eight weeks left until the exam.

“What’s so surprising?” Hermione asked, tapping each square on Ron’s timetable with her wand, causing the different subjects to flash in different colors.

"I don't know either," Ron muttered. "So much has happened lately, I just don't have the energy to think about studying this kind of thing. Besides, there's just too much information to cover!"

"Alright, alright, here you go." Hermione said, handing the timetable to Ron. "If you can keep up with this pace, you might not get a perfect score, but you'll at least learn a lot."

Ron glanced down at the timetable in frustration, then cheered up.

“Hey, hey, hey! You give me one night off every week!” “That’s for Quidditch training,” Hermione said mercilessly.

Ron's smile vanished instantly.

“These complex and scattered points of knowledge are driving me crazy!” Ron complained. “Besides, I think my Quidditch skills are good enough—”

"Ahem." Harry coughed.

“Okay, okay,” Ron said dejectedly. “Okay.”

Ron then complained a few more times, but had no choice but to continue studying with Hermione and Harry.

As breakfast time ended, the surroundings gradually quieted down, with only the occasional scratching sound of Hermione's pencil on scratch paper occasionally reaching Harry's ears.
When things quiet down, Harry can't help but let his mind wander.

Harry felt as if the memories in the Pensieve were countless ants gnawing at his heart.

He firmly believed that his parents were outstanding and kind people, and even if they liked to play pranks, they were at least upright people.

Regarding his father's personality, he never believed a word of the slander and defamation Snape had made.

Harry had overheard Professor McGonagall mention before that his father and Sirius were the most troublemakers in school, describing them as the forerunners of the Weasley twins. But Harry couldn't imagine Fred and George hanging someone upside down for fun... unless they really hated that person... maybe Malfoy, or someone who deserved it...

Harry tried to find reasons to prove that Snape deserved what he got from James, but Lily asked, "What did he do to you?"

But James replied, "It's mainly because of his presence, if you understand what I mean..."

Didn't James start this whole thing just because Sirius said he was bored? Harry remembered Lupin saying in Grimmauld Place that Dumbledore made him a prefect so he could keep James and Sirius in check... but in the Pensieve, he just sat there and let it all happen...

Harry kept reminding himself that Lily had interfered, and that his mother was a good person. But he remembered the look on Lily's face when she yelled at James, and that bothered him just as much as anything else; clearly, Lily hated James, and Harry couldn't understand how they had ended up getting married.

On several occasions, Harry even suspected that James might have forced her... perhaps with love potions or something.
For almost six years, his longing for his father had been a source of comfort and encouragement. Whenever someone said he resembled James, he felt a surge of pride. But now… now the thought of James filled him with bitterness and sadness.

--------split line--------

I'm really sorry, everyone. I had planned to take only one weekend off, but I encountered some problems with the experiment last week, so I haven't had the energy or the mood to update.

The main reason is that the rice in our group has already started to develop ears, and in order to make it flower earlier, we need to control the daily sunshine duration of the rice through a shade structure, switching from long-day to short-day conditions.

This work falls under the category of field management, and it should have been handled by the migrant workers we hired with fixed wages. However, these migrant workers wanted to earn extra money, so they took our wages and went to other groups to do odd jobs. So, they were paid by our group but didn't want to work for us, instead going to other groups to earn extra money.

So all the work he did in the fields fell on my shoulders.

Then, during the last group meeting, I raised the issue of the migrant worker taking money without doing any work with the senior mentor. The senior mentor then handed the matter over to junior mentor 2. After the group meeting, I also communicated with junior mentor 2, and he also agreed that the work I was in charge of in the fields should be the responsibility of the migrant worker.

Then my mentor suddenly stepped in again, taking on all the work and leaving me to continue being responsible for it.

So now the final result is that I became the bad guy in the group meeting. It doesn't matter if I become the bad guy. I originally solved this troublesome matter with my own ability, but my mentor 1 interfered and ruined it. He tricked me. So for the past week, I have been in a state of mental breakdown.

I've adjusted my mood now and will resume updates. Thank you for your understanding.
