Chapter 782
Professor Frolov's feelings became complicated, a mixture of excitement and unease.

Excitement comes from the exploration of knowledge.

The unease stems from the disruption of one's past perceptions.

For a researcher, firsthand experience is the most convincing evidence.

"You really went to that place?" Professor Frolov asked excitedly again to confirm.

“Yes, Professor.” Mitchell McGann nodded affirmatively. “Through extensive investigation and research, we found the entrance to that place, and through that entrance, we finally arrived at the Dreamland.”

Professor Frolov sensed Mitchell McGann's determination and confidence, and he gradually began to believe everything the young woman said. Perhaps, they truly had made an extraordinary discovery.

“Then, please describe your experiences to me in detail,” Professor Frolov requested.

“Don’t worry, Professor Frolov,” Mitchell Hogan said softly. “We will explain everything to you. The universe we live in, and even the Earth we inhabit, is far larger and more mysterious than we imagine. Our understanding is far too limited.”

"What do you need me to do?" Professor Frolov asked tactfully.

He knew very well that everything came at a price.

It's highly unlikely that this research group or mysterious organization based in London, England, would fly all the way to New York, USA, and spend a lot of money to bail him out of a mental hospital, simply to tell him these mythological stories and take him on a free tour of mythological locations.

They definitely want something from him. "Do you hope to find the Deep Ones' lair through me?" Professor Frolov guessed, then shook his head. "That's practically impossible. My encounter with that Deep One was purely accidental."

“No, Professor Frolov, we have already located the Deepdivers’ lair,” Mitchell McGann interrupted gently. “This is also the information we can tell you: they have built underwater cities with long, massive, Cyclops-like cylinders in the deep sea, scattered across oceans around the world. The three most famous Deepdiver cities are: Y'ha-Nthle near Innsmouth, off the coast of Massachusetts, USA; Ahu-Y'hloa near the coast of Cornwall, England; and G'll-Hoo near Syltsey, a volcanic island off the North Sea coast of Europe.”

“You’ve encountered a Deep One from Gol Ho,” Mitchell McGann said.

Professor Frolov was shocked by Mitchell McGann's words. He had never imagined that deep-sea divers had built underwater cities in every sea area around the world. Such a discovery was undoubtedly a huge breakthrough for humanity.

"So, how did you obtain this information?" Professor Frolov asked curiously.

“Other mysterious races,” Mitchell Hogan replied with a touch of arrogance.

This is the natural reaction people exhibit when an information gap occurs.

"Other mysterious races?" Professor Frolov felt his heart pounding. "What are they? What are they?"

“Professor Frolov, let’s make a hypothesis. If every myth and legend, every story of a spirit or monster in the world has a prototype behind it, then what is the most likely species, or a type of person with special abilities?” Mitchell McGann asked rhetorically.

"It could be...it could be!" Professor Frolov's eyes suddenly lit up. "It's a wizard!"
