Chapter 8 Hagrid
Two months passed quickly.

In preparation for her upcoming thrilling life at Hogwarts, Tierra quit her job as a receptionist at a Chinese restaurant.

To be honest, Tiera couldn't bring herself to speak to the kind couple who had helped her during her most difficult time, so she simply told the truth.

It was a bit difficult to explain, though. Even though Tyella showed the couple her Hogwarts admission letter and her abilities like the Levitation Charm, Flash Charm, and Fire Charm, the kind-hearted Chinese woman and the honest Chinese man were still worried and insisted on accompanying Tyella to meet Hagrid, the gamekeeper, on July 31st.

However, Tiera firmly refused. Hagrid was a half-giant, nearly three meters tall, and covered in fur like a large brown bear.

When they saw Tiera demonstrate the levitation and fire spells, they were so frightened they had heart attacks. They were saved by Tiera's ability to curse worms.

Whenever Hagrid, acting like a big, spoiled brat, does something outrageous, Tierra has to save him again.

Although Tierra rejected the couple's suggestion, he still felt a warm feeling in him.

In fact, Tiera knew what the Chinese couple was thinking. The poor couple's child had died young, and after spending the past few years together, they had come to regard Tiera as their own child. If Tiera hadn't maintained a respectful but distant attitude, the couple probably would have already formally asked to adopt him.

But in Tiera's mind, his parents are still alive in another parallel world.

The rapid, heavy knocking came from the first floor of the building. Peeking out of the window of the attic where Tierra was, one could see a hairy giant and a thin little boy.

"Hello, is anyone home? I'm Hagrid, the gamekeeper at Hogwarts. Is Tyella Witch home?"

"Please wait a moment!" Tiera called from the attic, then quickly ran downstairs.

“Hello, you must be Tyella Wizard, right? I am Rubis Hagrid, the gamekeeper at Hogwarts. And this young wizard is Harry Potter, your classmate,” Hagrid said in a deep voice, turning slightly to reveal Harry Potter following behind him.

"Hello Hagrid, hello Harry!" Tyrell said, stepping forward to hug Hagrid and then Harry.

Although Hagrid was a gamekeeper, he didn't smell bad at all; instead, he had a pleasant scent of leather, grass, and gasoline mixed together.

Harry smelled of licorice, cake, and a little bit of sweat.

Harry seemed unaccustomed to such a hug, and appeared to stiffen slightly when he made physical contact with Tyella, but still mechanically returned the hug.

Sensing Harry's discomfort, Tyrell silently released her embrace.

He carefully examined Harry.

Harry looked a lot like Daniel Radcliffe in the movie, but thinner and shorter. He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and canvas pants with holes in them, his hair was messy like weeds, and his glasses were a bit distorted, as if they had been hit often.

“Hello, Tierra, I was supposed to take you to Diagon Alley to buy things, but… well… it’s a bit late now. Could we stay here for the night? I don’t need a bed, just a big enough space… I’m so sorry, I was planning to take you to Diagon Alley this afternoon, but… Uncle Harry moved to a small island, and it’s so hard to find, so it’s been delayed until now.”

“No problem,” Tyella replied cheerfully. He had anticipated this situation. In both the movies and the novels, Hagrid always took Harry away in the middle of the night, and Diagon Alley was open during the day, so Hagrid and Harry would definitely try to find a place to sleep outside. Normally, they would spend the night on the Dursleys' sofa or in a guest room at the Leaky Cauldron, but since Tyella was suddenly there to pick them up, Hagrid would most likely ask to stay the night.

In most wizards' minds, an uninhabited Muggle house is equivalent to a free hotel.

After Tyrell agreed, Hagrid led Harry into Tyrell's small house on his own.

Harry seemed a little reserved, but Hagrid completely made himself at home.

With a wave of her pink umbrella, she lit the fireplace on the first floor and took off her soaking wet leather coat, spreading it on the floor in front of the fireplace.

"I'll sleep here. Can you find Harry a bed? Poor little Harry has been sleeping on the sofa in that wretched Dursley's house for days."

“No problem,” Tyella said, taking Harry’s hand. “You can sleep with me. My bed is in the attic, and it’s very big.”

"Uh... but, won't this... affect you?" she said somewhat awkwardly.

Harry had always lived in the shadow of his cousin Dursley, never having had any close contact with anyone other than being bullied, and never receiving any kindness from his peers. This kindness made Harry feel awkward but also warm.

“My bed is very big,” Tiera continued, extending her goodwill. “You don’t have to worry about bothering me. I grew up in an orphanage. My parents were killed by bad people. The kids my age in the orphanage always bullied me. I’m so glad to have met a friend like you… um… we’re friends, right?”

“Me too!” Harry almost shouted. The awkwardness and unfamiliarity he felt when they first met seemed to disappear instantly. Facing this boy who had a similar experience to his own, Harry felt a kind of touching resonance.

If Harry were Tyrell, he would know that this feeling is called friendship and empathy.

In unfamiliar environments, people tend to choose to make friends with those who have similar experiences. Using shared experiences to build initial conversations can help break the awkwardness of the first meeting.

This kind of empathy in making friends is useless in adult social situations, because even if adults don't have common topics, they can still manage to create an awkward conversation.

But this empathy in making friends is very effective for children.

These are some tips that Tierra learned while working as an intern teacher and taking care of her relatives' children. The empathy built from similar experiences helps to bridge the gap between her and the children.

Harry is a child who is very lacking in love right now, well... I should say he is a rich child who is very lacking in love.

It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but Tiera is really short of money. Both the subsequent Herris potion, Hydra poison, and scorpion gallbladders all require financial support.

Merlin above, at this time he encountered the lonely, pitiful and helpless infant rich Potter.

"Ding—" Tiera seemed to hear the sound of Galleons brushing past her ears.
