Chapter 837

The Weasley family's attire made them stand out on the streets of Barcelona.

At least Mrs. and Mr. Weasley were wearing heavy, dark-colored robes made of what appeared to be velvet or thick cotton, decorated with delicate embroidery and trim.

This kind of clothing seems somewhat out of place in the sweltering summer heat.

Mr. Arthur Weasley, wearing a wide-brimmed top hat and a thin tie, exuded the air of a true English gentleman. His shoes were shiny leather boots, which remained spotless even in the hot weather.

Molly Weasley, on the other hand, wore a floor-length dress with an intricate pattern and understated yet elegant colors.

Her headwear was equally eye-catching, with delicate hats or lace-trimmed headscarves that made her appear dignified and elegant even in this casual setting.

Ginny, George, Fred, Charlie, and Ron, while not dressed as extravagantly as their parents, were still wearing dark-colored clothes, completely out of place with the vibrant atmosphere of Barcelona.

"Thank goodness Bill didn't come, this outfit is awful." Ron Weasley whispered to George and Fred where his parents couldn't hear him, "I don't understand why Mom and Dad insist we dress so formally."

"Didn't I tell you?" Ginny scratched her waist impatiently. She was wearing the dress from Bill's wedding.

This dress originally fit perfectly.

But recently, I've been enjoying my trip so much, and the food in Muggles has been so delicious, that Ginny has gained a little weight. Now, wearing this dress feels a bit tight, and it makes me feel itchy.

“It seems to be my father’s, grandfather’s, brother’s, and great-grandson’s family living near Barcelona.” Ginny sorted out the family relationship word by word.

“There’s no need for us to dress up for the meeting.” George Weasley tugged at the high collar of his shirt, looking uncomfortable.

“I heard he’s a die-hard member of the Spanish Magic Society who refuses to move,” Charlie Weasley said with a hint of helplessness. “So Dad wanted to dress more respectably and persuade him to move to England.”

"Mr. Weasley really loves his job these days," Hermione teased softly.

Hermione was dressed very lightly, or rather, she looked youthful and beautiful.

Hermione wore a crisp white short dress, the hem of which only reached her knees. It swayed gently with every movement she made, like a light summer breeze.

Hermione had a light brown leather bag slung across her shoulder and wore a sun hat, looking no different from the other tourists around her.

Despite her simple attire, Hermione exudes both elegance and vitality, creating a striking contrast with those around her, especially the Weasleys.

Even Harry was wearing slim-fit jeans and a loose short-sleeved shirt.

From a distance, they looked like a couple.

"Ugh, I envy you guys. You don't have to wear these old-fashioned clothes." Ron complained in frustration as he followed behind Harry and Hermione. "Bill is so despicable!" Ron angrily punched the air: "He used his honeymoon as an excuse to skip this visit!"

“But their reasons are indeed very valid.” Hermione said as she walked, looking up at the “jamon” (Spanish ham) hanging on the roadside stall.

They were at the famous Boqueria Market in Barcelona.

The market's colorful fruit and vegetable stalls, fresh seafood, and various kinds of meat attracted their attention. At the market entrance, colorful signs and banners welcomed tourists from all over the world and local residents to explore this food paradise.

Upon entering the market, one can immediately feel a lively and bustling atmosphere.

Customers wandered between stalls, selecting their favorite items and haggling over prices, while vendors kept calling out their wares, trying to attract passersby.

The air is filled with the mixed aromas of fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, and baked goods, creating an irresistible temptation.

"Hey! Ron, this ham is pretty good!" Hermione confidently examined it, then nodded and introduced, "Spanish ham comes from black Iberian pigs, which are mostly free-range in open oak forests and feed on acorns. The ham is oily and has a pronounced marbling. Because of the Iberian pig's unique fat content and texture, the meat reaches an extremely tender and fragrant state during aging."

"Alright, alright, Miss Know-It-All," Harry interrupted helplessly. "Knowing you know so much, let's just buy this for dinner."

Several restaurants in the Boqueria Market offer food processing services. Both tourists and locals can choose their favorite ingredients at the market and then have them cooked at the restaurant.

Processing fees are usually quite reasonable, generally charged by weight. Cured ham is generally two euros per pound, seafood is slightly more expensive at three and a half euros per pound, and other meats range from one to five euros.

The processing methods are also diverse, ranging from simple frying to complex Mediterranean-style dishes, each method aiming to highlight the fresh taste of the raw materials.

In addition, these restaurants offer flavorful seasoning options, such as authentic Spanish olive oil, herbs, and sea salt, allowing customers to customize their food to their liking.

“Next, let’s buy some fruit,” Hermione said. “Spaniards love to use fruit alongside fresh vegetables and peppers when preparing meat and seafood.”

Hermione then launched into a long explanation of Spanish culinary history to Harry and Ron.

Harry was getting a headache, so he pretended to listen, nodding and agreeing while turning his gaze to the fruit stand next to him—

The fruit and vegetable stalls were neatly arranged, from bright red tomatoes to dark green cabbages, from sun-kissed lemons to deep purple grapes. Each fruit and vegetable looked carefully selected, radiating a natural glow.

As Harry walked along, the fresh seafood section also caught his eye. It was filled with glittering fish, lively shrimp, and various shellfish, and the seafood looked as if it had just been pulled from the sea.

The meat section was equally bustling, with various cuts of meat, including pork, beef, and lamb, cleverly displayed in refrigerated cases. Some stalls also showcased a variety of sausages and smoked meats, emitting an enticing smoky aroma.

The market not only has static stalls, but also some mobile carts filled with cooking snacks and hot drinks. These snacks range from authentic Spanish tapas to international cuisine, offering a wide variety of options.
