Chapter 501 Bodhi
Chang'an is empty for thousands of people.

Standing on the outskirts of the city was a man wearing a cassock of gold thread. He was as strong as a mountain guard, his skin was as dark as iron, his facial features were hard and cold, his face was stern, and he was serious. He was the abbot of Daci'en Temple, Shen Fang.

Behind him, Jiashang and Puguang, two Buddhist giants, also stood facing the wind, their monk's robes fluttering, and their precious appearances solemn.

Soon, a monk came on foot from a distance. His white monk's robe was like snow, he was not wearing cassock, and he was holding a Zen staff. He looked very handsome and elegant.

Cheers erupted from the crowd, Shen Fang bowed his head and said, "My Buddha is merciful, Buddhist disciples welcome the return of Master Xuanzang."

Xuanzang replied, "Thank you."

Every step he took, there was a lotus flower under his feet, and all the monks and believers showed fascinated and devout eyes.

Xuanzang is back, he is not dead
Master Puguang lowered his thick eyebrows, and said together: "It's a blessing for the Buddhist sect that the Master returned, but I have a bad news to tell the Master that your beloved apprentice's Bianji has been misled by the devil, and he has abandoned the Buddha and turned to the enemy."

Xuanzang said with a smile, "That's just a hurdle in his witness heart. One day, he will understand the mystery and return to the embrace of my Buddha."

"Goodbye, Master."

Xuanzang walked into Chang'an, and countless people stopped to watch along the way. His face was as usual, and he often smiled.

The officers and soldiers in charge of guarding Chang'an were also full of reverence, looking at the eminent monk in front of them.

Xuanzang's prestige in Chang'an is very high, no less than that of the general royal family, and even higher.

When he entered the city this time, he didn't go to the imperial palace, nor did he receive the emperor's edict. A group of people escorted him directly to the Da Ci'en Temple.

Inside the Da Ci'en Temple, two rows of monks lined up side by side to welcome Xuanzang.

He walked through the long veranda and came to a clean Buddhist courtyard, found a futon and sat cross-legged.

Shen Fang couldn't wait to ask: "Zen Master, after you disappeared from Chang'an, the people of Buddhism were panic-stricken, and I don't know who did it."

Xuanzang smiled and said, "Golden Cicada."

"It sure is him!"

Everyone in the room let out an exclamation, with deep fear.

"Jin Chanzi's subordinates have never heard of anyone being able to escape. Zen master is worthy of being the light of Buddhism."

Although these great monks were also intriguing in private, they respected Xuanzang surprisingly. Pu Guang asked: "Zen Master, the golden cicada has made a comeback, what should we monks do?"

Xuanzang looked around, leaned down slightly, and said softly: "If Buddhism is not unified, it will be broken individually. Only by gathering all the eminent monks and taking the initiative to eradicate the demons can we overcome this calamity."

The three of Shen Fang looked at each other, stood up together and put their palms together, Shen Fang said: "What the Zen master said is very true. If you are not a Zen master, you cannot integrate Buddhism."

Xuanzang nodded and said, "Chang'an is the place where thousands of races gather and the land with the most spiritual energy. We set up the 'Pure Land of Bodhi' in Chang'an to seek the Buddha way and transform the hearts of all living beings!"

"Pure Land of Bodhi."

Shenfang, Puguang and Jiashang bent down together, and said in a chanting voice: "I will obey the Zen master's decree."

Xuanzang continued: "When I came here, I heard that there was an orthodox sect in Bianliang, Song Dynasty, and it was necessary to plan the ranks of monks in the world, including Buddhist disciples. How can we Buddhist disciples use the principles of Taoist rules? We must not be the same as them. It is up to me, the Pure Land of Bodhi, to determine the rank of Buddhism itself."

"The Zen master has a good opinion."

"They had a hero meeting in Bianliang, and we held a 'Bodhi meeting' in Chang'an."

As soon as Xuanzang appeared, Buddhism had a backbone, and almost all secular Buddhist schools would draw close to them.

Xuanzang's influence in Buddhism in the Six Dynasties is not comparable to that of Li Yu in Taoism, so his Bodhi Club must have an easier start than the Hero Club.

There are too many Buddhist disciples, and there are thousands of believers. The courts of the Six Dynasties will probably give them face.

For a moment, Chang'an Buddhist sect, which had been panicking, united at once, and the eminent monks were no longer confused.

Xuanzang stood up and said, "The Pure Land of the Western Paradise has been polluted. My Buddha is merciful, but the responsibility of saving the world has fallen on our shoulders."

"What does that mean?"

Xuanzang said: "The ones in the Pure Land of the Western Paradise are no longer my Buddhas. The Tathagata suffers from misfortune, and Shakyamuni suffers from calamity. It's like a dove occupying a magpie's nest. In my generation, we must guard against the golden cicadas and the false ones in the Western Paradise. Buddha."

Jiashang was horrified, he took a step forward, almost wanted to speak, but couldn't speak.

All the Buddhas in the Western Paradise are fake, and if they become enemies all at once, it is tantamount to the sky falling for them.

Shen Fang forcibly restrained his mind, and asked, "If this is the case, what can I do?"

Xuanzang flicked it lightly, turned sideways and said, "If you can't rely on Buddha, you and I are both Buddhas."
-
Zhengjingmen, the breeze is blowing, and the lakeside is very cool.

Under a willow tree, Li Yu sat cross-legged, the water vapor lingered on his body, the yin and yang Tai Chi was on his head, and his eyes were shining.

In front of him, there is a crystal clear orb exuding strong power of water spirit. It is the 'clean water' that Li Yu is refining for the golden lotus.

There is such a one, which can be inserted into her magic weapon "Lianyou", which can make her practice more with less effort.

Beside Li Yu, Shi Qian told the story of Chang'an again, and he was sent back to Bianliang to continue spying on Bianliang's intelligence.

When he came, he was even summoned by Li Shimin, and Li Shimin's words both inside and out, revealed that he valued him.If he hadn't met Li Yu, he would have paid homage to him a long time ago, crying and complaining that he would not be able to repay his kindness.

Of course, Shi Qian also knew that if he hadn't met Li Yu, he wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet Li Shimin.

"Pure Land of Bodhi?"

Li Yu frowned, and said, "Are you sure Xuanzang is back?"

Shi Qian nodded and said: "This matter is absolutely true. On the day Xuanzang returned to Chang'an, there were no people in the street, and there was no way to leave."

Li Yu sighed, he was going to hold a meeting of heroes, and a Bodhi meeting was going to be held on the opposite side, and half of the monks went there at once.

There are so many Buddhist believers, and it is easy to get started, more than double the number of Taoist monks.

I have worked hard for so long to help the monks establish rules. Xuanzang may have thought of something with him, or he may have been inspired by his own hero association to expand his influence.

No matter what his purpose is, he has actually weakened the authority of the Hero Association. Is it still a rule in the monk world not to come to Buddhism?
But no matter from which aspect, it was difficult for him to compete with Xuanzang, especially since he only reached out to Buddhism, obviously to draw a clear line with himself, and did not want to entangle and compete.

Li Yu put away the "clean water" on his chest, stood up, and let out a long sigh.

"It seems that I'm going to meet Xuanzang for a while."

"Master, think twice!"

Shi Qian was terrified, his master was not a popular master in the Buddhist sect of the Tang Dynasty.

Especially the monks of Dazongchi Temple wished to kill him to avenge Huicheng.

With a movement of Li Yu's finger, a paper crane flew out from his fingertips and flew towards Datang.

"I'll make a post first. Master Xuanzang is so famous, I don't know if he would condescend to come to the Zhengjingmen."
