The Empire begins with the Fourth Scourge.

Chapter 2556: The 4th Civilization Armament [Frigate Chapter]

Chapter 2556: Fourth Civilization Armaments [Frigate]

[Hammer-class frigate]

This is the first type of frigate produced by the Fourth Civilization. It is 31.4 meters long, short and thick, and its main weapon is a twin-mounted plasma cannon launcher.

This frigate from Homeworld has limited performance, poor maneuverability, and average firepower. Its only advantage is its armor protection. In the early days of the Fourth Civilization, there was no other choice, so a lot of Hammer-class frigates were produced. In order to enhance firepower, in the mass-produced version, the plasma shell launcher was converted into a turbolaser cannon. Fortunately, in the Star Wars universe, turbolasers are not difficult to find on the black market.

However, since the Fourth Civilization did not have the ability to produce turbolaser cannons on its own in the early days, the turbolaser cannons installed on the Hammer-class frigates were all models purchased on the black market. There was no way to unify the standards, and the combat effectiveness could not be guaranteed.

After the Ghost fighter was fully put into production, the Hammer-class frigates were abandoned, even the second-line escort fleet disdained them, and they were all thrown into the black market and sold at low prices. So to this day, if you see the Hammer-class frigates in some inferior interstellar pirate lineups, please don't be surprised.

[Knight-class frigate]

This frigate was designed at the same time as the Hammer-class frigate. It is 28.5 meters long and more slender. Compared with the Hammer-class frigate with stronger protection performance, the Knight-class frigate has more balanced performance. However, the Fourth Civilization was facing the pressure of survival at that time, so the maneuverability of the warship was not high. This idea can also be seen in the later Pulse-class frigate. Therefore, the Knight-class frigate was not adopted by the military.

Later, because the Fourth Civilization needed more funds to purchase turbolaser cannons and hyperspace engines on the black market, it took out the Knight-class frigate plan again and built many ships specifically for export. It was one of the main sources of foreign exchange in the early days of the Fourth Civilization.

[Pulse-class frigate]

This is the second type of frigate produced by the Fourth Civilization. Compared with the Hammer-class frigate produced during the period of poverty, the construction process of the Pulse-class frigate is more standardized, at least all equipment and parts are standardized.

The Pulse-class frigate is 42 meters long and is equipped with a miniature short-wave particle cannon. This short-wave particle cannon is more powerful than a turbolaser cannon and is particularly good at fighting shields. Therefore, although this type of frigate still has poor performance, it has existed in the Fourth Civilization Army for a long time.

After being retired from the frontline fleet, the Pulse class frigate entered the escort fleet, but was later abandoned due to its poor mobility. And because of the pulse cannon, the Fourth Civilization military believed that this weapon could not enter the black market, so except for a small number of Pulse class frigates that were received by the planetary defense forces, most of the others were dismantled.

【Cobalt Alloy Class Frigate】

Derived from the technology of "Original Sins of a Solar Empire", the 78-meter-long Cobalt Alloy-class frigate is the first heavy frigate used as a "main battleship" by the Fourth Civilization. For a long time, Cobalt Alloy-class frigates have been serving on the front line of the Fourth Civilization Navy. Even now, there are still a small number of Cobalt Alloy-class frigates serving in the military.

The cobalt alloy class frigate lacks flexibility, but its linear acceleration and frontal firepower are very strong. It is equipped with two pulse laser cannons, so it cannot meet the needs of interspersed and roundabout operations. However, it can be used to supplement the firepower of the fleet's frontal decisive battle, and its excellent protection capabilities can also meet this requirement.

The cobalt alloy-class frigates currently in service have been automated and developed into unmanned warships. Some frigates that have not been modified have also been handed over to B-1 combat robots to control them, and continue to shine in the first-line naval fleet and second-line escort fleet of the Fourth Civilization.

[Javelina/Brawler class frigate]

Also from the technology of "Original Sins of a Solar Empire", the length is only 28.5 meters, and completely different from the Cobalt Alloy-class frigates that use the battleship method, these two types of frigates take the path of fighters. They are very maneuverable, very flexible, and very fast, sacrificing their protection capabilities. On the battlefield, the Fourth Civilization once used them to gain an advantage over the Galactic Republic fighters, but with the continuous development of fighter technology, the Javelin-class and Boorish-class light frigates gradually no longer meet the needs of war and were retired.

Moreover, since the protection capabilities of these two types of light frigates were too poor, even when destroying pirates, they would cause casualties to the crew, so in the end even the escort fleet did not like them. Therefore, except for a small number of them handed over to the desperate criminals of the Scourge, most of the others were sealed.

[Javelin-class guided missile frigate]

This 85-meter-long heavy frigate can be said to be the most popular small warship in the Fourth Civilization Army. Because this kind of warship is large in number and has fierce firepower, equipped with two five-mounted cross-gun-class long-range missiles, it can even pose a threat to the opponent's main battleship.

During the Clone Wars, the Fourth Civilization Navy used a large number of Javelin-class guided missile frigates, which posed a huge threat to the Galactic Republic's Javelin-class battlecruisers at the time. Even now, the Javelin-class guided missile frigates are still active in the front line of the Fourth Civilization Navy with their low cost and excellent performance, after being equipped with more advanced missiles. They have also become the Fourth Civilization's longest-serving warships.

[Valkyrie-class guided missile frigate]

Produced by Tyran Heavy Industries, this StarCraft technology frigate is 76.8 meters long. Unlike the Javelin-class missile frigate, the Valkyrie-class frigate is more focused on attacking light targets. The Halo-type cluster missiles they are equipped with can blast a destruction zone of several thousand meters, causing all enemy fighters and even frigates that enter it to suffer devastating blows.

However, the Valkyrie-class guided missile frigate is not favored by the Fourth Civilization Navy due to its huge ammunition consumption. Although it has been ordered, the number is not large. However, this type of frigate is very popular with planetary defense forces, and almost all planetary defense forces are equipped with it. Backed by the abundant supply of materials on the planet, the Valkyrie-class frigate will be able to pour out destructive firepower to its heart's content.

[Executioner-class frigate]

77 meters long, it is the standard frigate of the Amarr Empire in EVE. It has the characteristics of high speed and strong firepower. However, it was not purchased in large quantities by the Fourth Civilization Navy, and was mainly used by the Salarians. At the end of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic raided the planet Dawn under the command of Cassio Tag, and the Executioner class also participated in the war in large numbers.

Currently, there are two next-generation derivative models of the Executioner-class frigate, namely the Cursebreaker-class frigate and the Cutter-class frigate. Both have completed research and development and are being evaluated by the Fourth Civilization Navy, but no decision has yet been made on whether to purchase them.

[Sentinel-class electronic warfare heavy frigate]

This is also a warship of the Emma Empire in EVE. It is 93 meters long and one of the largest frigates. It is equipped with a search and jammer, an energy neutralizer, and a sensor suppression device, which can interfere with the operations of enemy warships as much as possible during the battle. In the early days of the war, when the Galactic Republic Navy did not pay much attention to the field of electronic warfare, it played an amazing role.

However, later, as the Galactic Republic installed high-power anti-interference devices and electronic countermeasures on its warships to counterattack, the Sentinel-class gradually withdrew from the front line due to its small size, giving way to the more powerful and larger Twin Blade-class electronic warfare light cruiser.

At present, the Sentinel class is still active in the escort fleet. The electronic warfare equipment that is useless on the front battlefield has become the death god of those pirates with simple equipment.

[Purification-class stealth special service ship]

This frigate, which is only 40 meters long and equipped with super proton torpedoes, has a cost comparable to that of a cruiser, for no other reason than its expensive hyperspace cloaking device.

Unlike ordinary cloaking devices, after activating the hyperspace cloaking device, the Purification Class hides itself between the real three-dimensional space and the hyperspace. This is enough to avoid almost all detection devices, and only by monitoring through the hyperspace detector can their movements be roughly grasped.

Once they get close to the enemy ship, a round of super proton torpedoes from the direct-fire engine is enough to destroy any battleship!

But the problem is that in addition to the extremely high cost of the purification class, its operators also need a long time of training, and most of the time they are suicide attacks. Therefore, the Fourth Civilization Navy stipulates that all purification class operators must join the rebirth plan to avoid attrition.

However, this also leads to a shortage of pilots who can be deployed at the same time - after all, compared to fighter pilots, whose survival rate is relatively high, even if they join the rebirth plan, purified-level pilots with a mortality rate of over 70% will often suffer a mental breakdown after rebirth.

【Lavasa Gladiator Heavy Frigate】

A powerful 90-meter-long frigate. According to the naming convention of the Vasari people, the full name should be "Brawler-class heavy frigate designed by engineer Lavasa". This type of frigate is currently the most powerful, most advanced, and most difficult warship in the Fourth Civilization Army.

The Lavasa Fighter is equipped with a twin-mounted heavy pulse cannon. With the advanced technology of the Vasari people, the firepower of this cannon is even comparable to that of a cruiser! Not only that, the Lavasa Fighter also has very thick armor and extremely fast straight-line speed, which allows them to rush directly to the front under the enemy's firepower and tear all enemies apart with their extremely powerful firepower.

Currently, the Vasalis have begun to secretly deploy their weapons in the Fourth Civilization Navy, but they have not participated in the battle due to the complexity of logistical supply. However, when the stargate technology is further upgraded and one-to-many stargates are realized, the Vasalis warships that have solved the logistical problem will become the new nightmare of the Galactic Empire!
