Bringing a System to the Beast World

Chapter 35 Temporary Shelter

Chapter 35 Temporary Shelter
The system sighed deeply: "Host, be more confident and remove the 'seems' part."

Wu Yue: "."

He glanced guiltily at the still-frightened orc; he really had been knocked out by his own morning stench.

With the orc's testimony, Wu Yue was promptly acquitted.

Qingcao returned to the cave with her, her gaze towards Wuyue hesitant, yet carrying a hint of sympathy.

Wu Yue asked doubtfully, "Qingcao, you've been acting strangely since just now. Just say what you want to say."

Qingcao pursed her lips: "Yue, what are your plans for the future?"

The question came out of nowhere, leaving Wu Yue completely bewildered: "Why are you asking this? Has something happened?"

Green Grass was taken aback: "Don't you know? The tribe that traded salt is coming back soon. This cave belongs to a half-orc. After they return, you won't be able to stay here anymore."

Wu Yue was dumbfounded: "."

What the heck? I thought this would be my own cave from now on, but now you're telling me it's just a temporary shelter?

Seeing her stunned expression, Qingcao scratched her head and said, "How about I go back and tell Amu that you can stay in our cave for now?"

When she said this, Qingcao was a little uneasy, because her cave was only about the same size as the one where Yue lived.

After my sister and her husband moved out, the space became much more spacious. If it gets longer, they'll probably have to sleep together again.

"Green Grass, is your cave very big?"

Qingcao chuckled and pointed to the small cave behind them where Wuyue lived: "It's about the same as yours."

Wu Yue: "."

Considering the size of her family, she decisively declined, saying, "I'll think of another way."

Qingcao didn't say anything more; her own place was indeed a bit too crowded.

"It's not that difficult, actually. Yue, you can ask a male in the tribe to help you build a thatched hut." Wu Yue's eyes lit up: "A thatched hut?"

Although my ideal choice is still a cave, having a temporary place to stay is acceptable.

Qingcao led Wuyue to the Chunren people's residential area, which was a large gathering place made up of thatched huts.

Each thatched hut was about the same size, about waist-high, and not very big. When she walked past one of the huts, Wu Yue could even see the little human baby sleeping sprawled out inside.

After several twists and turns, the two arrived at a relatively spacious place, near the edge of the tribe, where Qinghua was standing in front of a thatched hut watching them.

Qingcao pointed to the three thatched huts connected together: "This is my sister's home. She and her companions live here."

Qinghua turned around and took some dry grass from the thatched shed, casually spreading it on the ground: "Sit down."

After a few days here, Wu Yue gradually got used to this unrestrained "sitting style".

"Your sister has already told you about the cave, hasn't she?" Qinghua said, handing her a shriveled fruit.

Wu Yue pursed her lips and said, "Mm."

She looked at Qinghua: "Why didn't you choose the cave? The thatched hut is too small."

Given the height of the females here, they need to bend over to enter and exit, let alone the males.

Qinghua was slightly taken aback, then smiled bitterly: "I am not qualified to live in a cave."

Wu Yue was taken aback: "What?"

Qualifications for living in a cave? These days, do you need a certificate to live in a cave?

Qinghua patted her arm: "The caves in the tribe are limited, and only orcs, half-orcs, cubs, or those who have made great contributions are qualified to live there."

What should I do? I have nowhere to live.
