Chapter 80 We're Still Good Friends

Chapter 80 We're Still Good Friends

Wu Yue was taken aback: "You mean Cao Yuan's mother ate vegetable dumplings made from both bitter greens and dandelion?"

Cao Yuan and Mu Jing looked at Wu Yue with suspicion. Although they didn't understand why she asked that, they nodded honestly: "Because there were some bitter vegetables left at home, which had wilted a bit, so we made them into vegetable dumplings together."

Wu Yue clapped her hands excitedly: "Then I know why your mother's stomach hurts!"

The two little females looked at Wu Yue with surprise; that was something even the witch couldn't do.

Wu Yue looked at the two of them and said, "It's best not to eat bitter greens and dandelions together. Strong people are fine, but if they are weak, eating both kinds of wild vegetables at the same time will cause problems like what happened to Cao Yuan Amu."

Cao Yuan excitedly stood up and kept spinning around on the ground. Then, she grabbed Wu Yue's arm with a nervous expression: "Yue, since you know the reason, is there any way to cure my mother's illness? She is in a lot of pain."

As she spoke, tears began to fall.

Wu Yue sighed: "I don't know much either."

She had only heard about these folk remedies while watching some rural programs, and she didn't know if they would work.

But at this moment, Cao Yuan pleaded as if she had grasped a savior, "Whether it can be cured or not, please give it a try?"

Green Grass nodded in agreement: "Moon, why don't we go take a look? Poor Grass Round is so pitiful."

Wu Yue rolled her eyes inwardly, speechless: Cao Yuan is pitiful, but am I not pitiful too?
She was scolded by Mu Jing's mother before!

But in the end, Wu Yue still took the last bit of peppercorns left in the package and followed Cao Yuan to the cave in her home.

The middle-aged female who had gone to Wu Yue's house to roar today sat wearily against the wall, holding the hand of the female lying in the grass nest.

Her eyes were still a little red, so it seemed she had been crying.

"Auntie, the moon is here." Mu Jing stepped forward and whispered in the middle-aged woman's ear.

The middle-aged female suddenly woke up and looked at the few young females in front of her. Her tired face was full of apology as she looked at Wu Yue: "Little females, it was Grandma's fault today. I went to your house to cause trouble before I even got to the bottom of things."

She took a few steps forward and took Wu Yue's hand: "Grandma apologizes to you. I hope this won't affect the relationship between you all, and that you can still be good friends."

Wu Yue took the female grandmother's hand and helped her sit down in the grass nest on the side. She said softly, "I'm not angry with them. I came here to check on Grandma Caoyuan's condition."

Mu Jing looked at her in surprise: "Do you know what happened to you, sister?"

Wu Yue nodded: "Grandma Caoyuan's health is not as good as yours to begin with, and it's best not to eat bitter greens and dandelions together, as people with poor health may experience symptoms like hers."

She pointed her thin chin in the direction of Grandma Caoyuan.

“I have a way to make her much more comfortable, but it will require some salt. Don’t worry, I will return the salt to you later.”

Mu Jing's mother was overjoyed upon hearing this and immediately instructed Mu Jing to go back and fetch the salt.

A moment later, Mu Jing and several tall males walked in, led by two robust middle-aged men.

They were each carrying a bulging bag, which Wu Yue knew was full of coarse salt.

"Please light a bunch of fires, I need them."

As soon as she finished speaking, a strong young man skillfully stepped forward and started a fire.
