Chapter 988 Hand
Chapter 988 Hand
Victoria had felt an inexplicable anxiety since she entered the theater. This feeling became even stronger after she entered the Fluorite Hall. She did not dare to ignore this intuition, so she slowly walked around the theater to observe, trying to find evidence for this strange feeling.
"Victoria!" Zoe came over with a cup of coffee. "Would you like some?"
Victoria was still thinking about her own things, but she took the cup from Zoe.
Zoe sighed: "I feel uncomfortable all over as soon as I enter this room..."
Victoria suddenly turned her head and asked, "Do you also feel that there is something unusual in this room?"
"...There are too many children, aren't there?" Zoe asked, "Are you sure all the children in this room will be able to stay quiet when the show starts?"
Victoria laughed and said, "Didn't I tell you that I was bringing the kids to watch a play today?"
"You said you were taking care of the children, but you didn't say there were only children here!" Zoe pressed her forehead, "Oh my God, why are they all so noisy..."
Victoria pulled a box of earplugs out of her pocket: "Try it."
“Thanks,” Zoe took the earbuds, “What are you looking for?”
Victoria did not answer immediately. In this noisy theater, no one except Zoe noticed that Victoria's footsteps gradually became lighter. Even though she was worried, in the eyes of others, she still walked leisurely to the small forest where the children received their prizes.
Yet Zoe still sensed a change in Victoria—she must have sensed some danger.
Zoe drank the coffee in her hand, quickly threw the paper cup into the trash can next to her, and chased after Victoria.
At the entrance of the small forest, two elf sisters are greeting and chatting with the children in line. After the children finish choosing, they will take out dolls and cards from the bamboo basket, write blessings and stamp them. All these things will be handed over to a dwarf next to them for packing.
Victoria stood in front of the man wearing thick work gloves.
A shadow was cast, and the man raised his head, almost killed by Victoria's gaze.
"...Hello?" The man looked at his companions, and seeing that they had no time to pay attention, he looked back at Victoria, "...If you want to get a souvenir, please line up."
"Put your hand out," Victoria whispered.
"what?"
"your hands."
In an instant, Zoe also felt a strong urge to fight. Her eyes were fixed on the man who played the dwarf, and she slowly moved forward half a step. At this moment, her body had already entered the critical point between the ground state and bullet time.
"If you want souvenirs, go and line up," the man stood up. "If you're here to cause trouble, I've called security."
The little girl who had picked out her presents from the elf sister walked over to the group with her doll in her arms. She looked up and asked the dwarf uncle to help her pack the doll. The man smiled and reached out to take the girl's doll, but Victoria suddenly grabbed his wrist and said, "Don't touch the child!"
The dwarf's whole body was twisted, and he cried for help in pain. Zoe immediately stepped forward and forcibly took off his gloves - they were a pair of human hands.
Victoria and Zoe were both shocked.
"What the hell are you doing!" the man screamed angrily, "Is there anyone watching?" The commotion attracted the attention of the staff nearby. Before things got any worse, Zoe grabbed Victoria's hand and apologized to everyone, saying that her sister had a problem with her brain since she was a child. Although she was so tall, she was actually about the size of an eight-year-old child. She loved playing the game of police catching thieves the most. I brought her out to play today, but I accidentally left her alone at home, so I caused trouble for everyone.
Victoria was still looking at the human hand in disbelief, and when she heard Zoe's words, she immediately took the opportunity to take off the dwarf's other glove - which was not a claw either.
it turns out……?
"Let's go! Sister! Let's go!" Zoe dragged Victoria back and lowered her voice, "The security guards will really be here soon!"
Victoria began to mumble and act like a fool, and returned to her previous seat with Zoe.
"What happened?"
"There's a guy over there with a weird smell," Zoe replied, "but we checked and it's not chelate."
Theresa looked at Victoria: "Is it serious?"
"It's hard to say," Victoria took off her coat, "Don't let your guard down."
The lights dimmed and the pantomime began.
A beam of light fell in the center of the theater. The children were quiet for a moment, and then cheered in surprise - it turned out that the destination of this performance was not on the stage, but among the audience.
Eucalyptus sat among the mercury needles with some worry. Although she didn't know what was going on, she could clearly feel that the five of them were becoming a little nervous.
Less than ten minutes into the play, Victoria stood up again, followed by Zoe and finally Susie.
"...What's wrong?" Eucalyptus looked at the backs of the people leaving, then turned to look at Theresa and Ende beside him.
"It's okay." Theresa smiled and said, "Let's just watch the show."
In the corridor outside the theater, the dwarf led a mother and daughter towards the fire escape. The mother saw the dwarf casually took down the "Under Construction" sign at the entrance of the corridor. Although she had some doubts, she still followed him considering that the other party was a staff member after all.
"Is the toilet that far away?" asked the mother. "I just saw the toilet sign at the end of our floor—"
"The toilet there is broken and can't be used." The dwarf smiled and said, "We have to go down."
"Oh, so that's it."
They walked down three flights of stairs, and then down to the underground garage. The mother finally pulled the child back, and she looked at the dwarf who led the way with some embarrassment: "Well, sir... Thank you for leading the way, let's go back and watch the show..."
"We've come this far, wouldn't it be a shame if we don't go?" The dwarf turned around, and the exaggerated smile frozen on his hood looked weird and dangerous under the pale cold light. "Let's go, the place we are going to is very interesting, and you will never regret it--"
The little girl was already hiding behind her mother in fear, and her mother's expression became stiff: "What are you talking about...Aren't you taking us to the toilet?"
"bring it on."
The dwarf slowly turned around, and after a moment of silence, the mother suddenly picked up the child and ran upstairs. The dwarf jumped over half a floor with amazing jumping ability and tried to grab the woman by the back of her collar. The child leaning on the mother's shoulder suddenly burst into tears. The mother felt a blank in her mind. She could not care about anything else except running for her life.
But then she heard a dull thud.
The mother turned around and saw a taller woman who had tightly grasped the dwarf's neck, with bright red blood splattering on the newly painted white wall. Only then did the mother see clearly that the woman's other hand was holding a blunt object, which had been deeply stabbed into the dwarf's nasal cavity.
