Sergei's driving skills were beyond question. He quickly shifted gears, floored the accelerator, and the engine roared forward, propelling the car like an arrow. But halfway there, he had to stop. Another large truck had appeared ahead, like another black behemoth, completely blocking the passage. On either side of the passage were containers tens of meters high, like two towering steel walls, trapping them in the middle, forming an impenetrable steel cage. With their only exit blocked by two trucks, Colonel Ke Chuan, sitting in the car, felt his hair stand on end. A tremendous sense of crisis surged towards them like a tidal wave, threatening to engulf them completely. At this moment, they felt as if they were trapped in a giant pit, surrounded by cold steel, with nowhere to escape.

But that wasn't the worst part. The most troublesome thing was that as soon as the Prado was stopped, three armed gunmen appeared in front of and behind it. They appeared suddenly like ghosts, and without saying a word, they raised their guns and began to fire wildly at the car.

"Rat-a-tat-tat-tat..." A dense hail of bullets rained down like a torrential downpour, their sharp whistling sound like the roar of death, instantly shattering the front and rear windows. Glass shards flew everywhere like snowflakes, and the occupants could only desperately duck, pressing their bodies as close to the floor as possible to avoid the bullets that were like the Grim Reaper's scythe. Their heartbeats seemed to synchronize with the rhythm of the bullets, their tension reaching its peak. Each whistling bullet was like a death knell tolling in their ears; there was absolutely no way to retaliate in this hail of bullets. Fear, like an invisible rope, tightly constricted their throats, making it almost impossible for them to breathe.

"Damn it, we're blocked from both sides, are we trying to trap a dog in a cage?" Noven cursed angrily, his eyes filled with rage and resentment, like a trapped wild beast roaring in despair, trying to dispel the fear in his heart with anger.

"Grenades, give me grenades!" Long Zhan didn't want to be riddled with bullets like this. He knew that although the Prado had been modified, it couldn't withstand such intense firepower for long. So, he decided to retaliate immediately. His tone was firm and domineering, like a commander giving the order to charge on the battlefield. His eyes revealed a determination to die for the cause, as if declaring to the enemy that they would not easily surrender.

“We’re still in the same place,” Chetri said anxiously, her voice trembling slightly with tension. She was worried that Long Zhan’s bomb might land inside the vehicle. On the battlefield, it wasn’t uncommon for someone to be hit by a grenade while throwing it, causing it to fall and kill their own men. If the grenade landed inside the vehicle, everyone would be blown to pieces in that confined space. Her eyes were filled with fear and worry as she stared intently at Long Zhan, trying to stop him from doing anything that could have devastating consequences.

"Stop talking nonsense and listen to me!" Long Zhan roared domineeringly, his eyes revealing an undeniable determination, as if telling everyone that he had the ability to lead them out of this desperate situation. He knew that there was no time to hesitate; decisive action was necessary to secure a glimmer of hope for everyone.

Sergei and Noven trusted Long Zhan unconditionally. Without hesitation, they immediately handed him all the grenades they were carrying, their hearts filled with anticipation. They hoped that Long Zhan, as always, could use his courage and wisdom to lead them out of this predicament and escape from the embrace of death. Their eyes shone with trust, placing all their hopes on Long Zhan.

Long Zhan swiftly grabbed a grenade, deftly removed the safety, and tossed it through the shattered windshield. With his superhuman arm strength, even while prone inside the vehicle, the grenade flew dozens of meters like a cannonball. As the first grenade traveled, the second followed suit, shooting off like a meteor. The two grenades, like deadly meteors, hurtled towards the truck ahead. The gunmen, who had been firing wildly, turned deathly pale at the sight. They couldn't believe someone could throw grenades so far and so accurately in such a critical situation. It was too late to run; towering containers surrounded them, offering no escape. They felt bound by the ropes of fate, forced to watch helplessly as death descended. Fear spread through them like a black tide, engulfing them completely.

"Boom, boom!" Two deafening explosions rang out in quick succession. Grenades detonated near the truck, sending flames shooting into the sky like two angry fire dragons, instantly engulfing everything around them. Thick smoke billowed up, filling the air, and the acrid smell of gunpowder was suffocating. The gunmen were mercilessly devoured by the blast waves and shrapnel, all blown to pieces and lying in pools of blood. The bloody scene was like a corner of hell, horrifying to behold.

"Drive! Drive through!" After throwing grenades and blowing up the enemy, Long Zhan shouted the order. His voice was firm and powerful, resounding like a bell in the vehicle, filled with the joy of victory and the determination to continue fighting. His eyes shone with a resolute light, as if telling everyone that they had not lost yet, and that there was still a chance to break through the encirclement.

Although Sergei didn't know the exact situation outside, upon hearing the two deafening explosions, he believed that Long Zhan had successfully cleared a path for them. So, like a well-trained soldier, he swiftly used his hands as feet, skillfully shifting gears and pressing the accelerator, and the car surged forward again like a tiger. The deafening roar of the engine seemed to proclaim their indomitable spirit and resistance; the sound was like a battle horn, inspiring them to press on.

A few seconds later.

With a loud bang, the car hurtled forward and crashed into the truck. The immense impact caused the radiator to burst, sending a cloud of white smoke billowing up like a mushroom cloud. Acrid steam filled the air, blurring visibility. The deafening crash seemed like a signal that they were breaking free from their cage; though the road ahead remained unknown, they had taken a crucial step.

"Get out, quick!" Long Zhan was the first to push open the door and dash out like lightning, heading straight for the gap blocked by the trucks. His figure moved swiftly through the smoke like a ghost, his movements agile and decisive, his firm steps seemingly declaring their fearlessness to the enemy. Seeing this, the others understood that the passage ahead had been cleared, leaving only the enemy behind to put up a last-ditch resistance. Without hesitation, they immediately followed, their steps firm and powerful, as if declaring to the enemy that they would not easily surrender. Their eyes were filled with fighting spirit, like burning flames, determined to incinerate all the enemies. (End of Chapter)
