StarCraft: Tyranid Empire.
Chapter 782 Entering the Void
This is the fleet commander's reception room from the rear deck to the stern of the Hyperion, and behind it is the place where the emperor summoned the naval commanders to issue orders. Here, everything is decorated like a palace, decorated with copper-clad walls, reddish-brown carpets, wolf reliefs, and huge flags embroidered with gold thread.
There is a slogan on the wall that can be seen everywhere in the empire, which means to hold high the flag.
The statue presented by the Darram Protoss for Emperor Augustus' 30th birthday was placed in the most conspicuous position. It was polished and carved from an Urna artifact that was as precious as the key stone, and was inlaid with gorgeous sapphires, emeralds, and amethysts.
On the base of the statue was written a line of Protoss words that were as soft as flowing water and as shining as stars: Augustus Mengsk, eternal friend of the Protoss, may the gods grant you eternal rule.
The Protoss hope that Augustus lives longer than anyone else. They believe that there will never be another chance for such a person to appear again. This is a saint like Atton.
The reception room was newly built during the last renovation, and that renovation almost required the Hyperion to be completely dismantled and rebuilt. All the old parts were melted down and recast with biological steel, and new firepower, armor and engines were rebuilt to the standards of Super Gorgon, representing a new height in the Imperial Navy's design and construction technology after many innovations.
Never before had a single warship been so closely tied to the fate of a dynasty, not even the Bucephalus or the White Star.
Although the Hyperion is just a behemoth-class battlecruiser, her image has become an eternal classic.
Perhaps this will be the last transformation and the last voyage of the Hyperion. This old ship that should have been retired long ago is still shining for the empire today. It was close to being completely scrapped several times, and its body is full of traces of excessive transformation.
What is incredible is that the influence of Protoss technology on this legendary battleship still remains in the steel that has even been recast, so that the magnificent hull is still filled with the power of the solar core of the Memory of Nesin, and the experts of the Empire are always confused about this.
At this moment, only Queen Kerrigan was sitting in the reception room of the Hyperion, with two Royal Guard ghosts wearing golden masks and steel blades on their backs beside her. But if they encountered an enemy, they would not be needed to protect the Queen.
"Emperor Augustus I, Emperor of the Terrans, Kelmerians, and Umojans, Ruler of Korhal, Tarsonis, Antiga, Tyrador, and all the Empire, Hero of Korhal, Defender of Mankind, King of the universe."
Beside the queen, the guards first called out Augustus' name, followed by a long list of titles that he himself could not pronounce clearly. Some of them were won by him in battles, and some came from the enemies of the empire, but he won countless battles and had many enemies.
If Augustus and Acturus were not non-religious, they might have added something like "Thanks to God" and "I am blessed by the Lord" in front of the title.
At the same time, as the Mengsk dynasty continued to expand its territory, these titles were almost always changing and constantly overlapping.
The Kel-Morian Combine is still as large as ever, and is still the second most populous human regime in the Koprulu Sector after the Terran Empire, but they are leaderless and lack leadership. Now, with the Empire establishing their undisputed hegemony and controlling the economic lifeline of the Combine, Moria can only bow to Korhal.
Even the unwilling Kemorians had to accept the reality and change the emperor of the Tyranid Empire to their own emperor. It was only a matter of time before Augustus gained the claim to the Union, which was already in his pocket.
The people of Yumoyan vowed that their democracy would never be crowned, nor would they submit to the court of Augustgrad.
But since the first general of the Protectorate sent to join the human-protoss coalition to fight against Amon returned to Umojan, the members of the elected parliament have completely changed their attitude towards the Empire.
From "avoid conflict with the Empire as much as possible" - a euphemism for extreme tolerance, to "going to war now would be a dead end", "Augustus's marshals will take the Umojan mainland in just thirty-six hours", "and our fleet will be like a group of ants guarding a small mound when the end of the world comes" - if they only need a piece of wasteland, this number will be shortened to a quarter of an hour, when the benevolent sun of the Terrans will rise equally in every latitude.
For the Emperor, who “had been a wanderer supported by us less than ten years before,” had at his disposal at least one hundred and fifty Gorgons, and even the most naive estimate put their capital ships at a hundred times the number of the Protectorate’s.
Umojan's intelligence personnel have long been aware of this, and the simplest way is to observe the number of Imperial fleet anchorages, but they have never seen how the Imperial fleet fights the Protoss, the Zerg, or even the Void Shadows that invade the world.
The most arrogant Imperial officers did not consider Umojan as their opponent, and sometimes they did not even take Earth seriously. When the Dark Lord was banished back to the void on Aiur, the solar system remained amazingly calm and silent, so that it was almost completely forgotten by people on this side of the galaxy.
As for the people in the Koprulu sector, when they suddenly reacted, they were already living in the era of Emperor Augustus.
After all, and more recently to be exact, Prince Arcturus suggested to the Eumyan Parliament that Augustus the Great be recognized as the common emperor of the people of Köpruska, or, if they felt that the title of emperor was too harsh, as the head of state, first citizen, and ruler for life.
The tone was more of an ultimatum than a suggestion, the tone of the Emperor's brother was always like this, he never spoke softly. Arcturus was sure that if Augustus had to mobilize all the human forces in the Koprulu Sector to deal with Amon, then at least there should be a common name, for the common emperor, for humanity, and for themselves.
In exchange for being able to continue to exist as an independent regime, the Umoyans agreed. After all, if they did not have to pay taxes to the emperor, perform military service, and fulfill fiefdom-like obligations like the Kelmerians, they would have little else to lose. This was just an honorary title, which was nothing wrong.
Of course, this was earth-shattering news in all the worlds of Umojan. Apparently, democracy was dead, but no one was coming to enforce justice.
".Wise and brave, unrivaled in the world." Just before the real owners of these titles began to feel embarrassed, the sensible guards stopped in time, otherwise the empire's guests might have to stand there for several more minutes.
Arcturus believed that this was necessary, or rather a means to strengthen imperial power, and the guests had to rack their brains to try to figure out the exact meaning of each title, some of which were so big that they were terrifying.
Donny Vermillion of UNN is the emperor's most loyal bootlicker. He can recite these titles by heart at any time in the show, and claims that they can only prove their authenticity if they are used on Emperor Augustus.
Augustus, however, thought it was unnecessary and did it just to look cool.
After the guards withdrew, Queen Sarah Kerrigan introduced herself to everyone:
"As for me, I am his queen and the mother of his two children."
"Insignificant," Kerrigan said.
Once, as a soldier, the education Kerrigan received consisted of only a few words: no sympathy, no mercy. The Federation hoped to shape her into a cold-blooded killer or a hateful avenger.
But now, Kerrigan is undoubtedly a noble queen, even if she is not wearing gorgeous clothes or a crown.
In fact, the queen was always smiling, which was the first thing she learned from her frequent visits to the empire with Augustus. At the same time, considering Kerrigan's tragic first half of her life and her happy present, she had little reason to be sad all the time.
Sarah Kerrigan is kind, gentle, and calm. You would think she is just an ordinary lady who is so weak that she has to ask a servant to help her even open a can.
On the other hand, Kerrigan is a natural beauty with a pair of blue eyes, fiery red hair, a plump figure and amazing curves. Her experience as a ghost agent has given her a strong physique, and the careful maintenance after marriage has made her beauty more mellow like fine wine.
It was obvious that this was a human being, and there was no doubt about that.
Kerrigan had calloused hands, hardened skin, but now all that was gone. In a way, it was like being reborn.
However, in Jinara's eyes, Sarah Kerrigan was like an ancient beast that devoured people. The latter was as powerful as the sun in the dark night and could not be ignored. The Void Origin favored this human being more than the most powerful Nerazim and Ihenri Protoss. The thread of the prophecy became clearer and clearer, and it pointed to Kerrigan instead of others.
The Tal'darim know little about Kerrigan, but many of the Dar'am believe she is the prophesied hope, a child of prophecy, or, in human terms, the daughter of the Void.
This almost made the Protoss jealous. They were the eldest sons, loyal to their gods, and paid countless blood to fight against darkness, but the prophecy only mentioned one human.
If Kerrigan were a Tal'darim, she would have completed countless Rak'shi rites, consuming the powerful essence of countless Ascended Ones, with bones piled up like mountains under her feet.
Regardless of how Kerrigan gained such power, she could not be a Tal'darim. In this case, she was a person worth trying to win over. With Kerrigan's help, Jinara was confident that she could challenge Alarak in the Rak'shir ritual, or even replace him.
In fact, the Tal'darim are quite simple people. They are usually thinking about how to kill their superiors. Their loyalty is even more suspicious than the generosity of businessmen.
"Your Majesty, Madam, please forgive me for not recognizing you at first sight. It was extremely rude." Even when facing the emperor of the empire, Jinara had never been so respectful: "If I were not the first person to be promoted and visiting on behalf of a high-level lord, I should kneel down and bow."
For a moment, Kerrigan didn't know how to respond. She was a little naughty, so she said to Jinara: "Well, my lord, I don't think you have to do this."
This made all the representatives from all parties feel a little awkward. They certainly didn't have to be as respectful as Jinara. They could just express their sincere greetings to Kerrigan according to their own etiquette.
A human queen may be noble, but not worthy of the Protoss' bowing and salute. However, Kerrigan is obviously different. Part of the respect she receives comes from Augustus and the Terran Empire, and the other part comes from her power and the mystery behind her.
As the guests took their seats, the Royal Ghost served them tea. Considering that the Protoss would not drink, Kerrigan served them empty cups to avoid wasting tea.

At the same time, they had nothing to talk about.
The Protoss were like hitchhikers. They would ride on the Hyperion and return to their own army when the main force of the Imperial Navy met up with the Daram, Tal'darim and Ihanli Protoss fleets. After that, their work would be done.
The diplomats from Yumoyan and Kemorian were also military attachés stationed in Augustgrad. They were all military men and were responsible for coordinating liaison work on behalf of the armies of the United States and the Commonwealth. Their entourage and luggage had been sent on board a few days ago.
It will not be long before the fleets of Moria and Umojan arrive to join forces for this most epic battle ever fought.
In order to ensure that the emperor's guests do not feel neglected, a lieutenant general will personally arrange accommodation for them, or take them to visit the busy arsenal and dock, or even watch a movie.
"Isn't that too hasty?"
Kerrigan asked Augustus as she pulled him into the lounge next to the reception room.
"What do you mean?" Augustus pretended not to understand.
"You haven't even said goodbye to Lisa, Louis, and Charlotte yet." Kerrigan almost complained to him: "You can't pretend nothing happened."
"Yes," Augustus said. "I shouldn't have done that, but I did it anyway."
If Augustus wanted to get away with it, that's what he would have said.
He gestured: "I have my plan."
Arcturus was different, Augustus added in his mind, old Biden was as solid as a rock and would never be sad that he was going to risk his life again. At the same time, the Empire needed a Mengsk to stay, and Augustus didn't even need to take Dorothy to the war. As long as he thought of this possibility, he would rather die.
But the women were different. Louise had grown up and could even guess what Augustus was going to do. And the youngest daughter Charlotte was as smart as her sister.
Kerrigan almost rolled her eyes at Augustus.
The emperor had more emotions than he appeared, and he was more ruthless and decisive than anyone else in commanding battles, but he was still indecisive when he thought about having to leave his children.
Augustus had been writing to Valerian, but whenever he was away from Chara he wrote to Louise, and when Charlotte could read and write she would receive the same.
Most of the content is as innocent and interesting as a fairy tale, but underneath, between the lines are all the self-pity complaints of an old father who is lonely.
"As my children, they have to get used to it, and that's all they can do." Augustus sighed.
"Is this the fate of the royal family?" Kerrigan pondered.
"That's just bad luck for them." Augustus complained, "And Louise doesn't care at all. In her eyes, I'm not even as good as a brainworm, a pet! She always asks where Alpha is going, but never once asks where I am!"
"How am I inferior to a comedian?"
In a place where there is no one else, the king of a country has become increasingly disgraceful.
"You don't play with her." Kerrigan smiled: "It's that simple."
"But fortunately, this will be the last time I leave them," said Augustus.
"Do you really think so?" Kerrigan obviously didn't think so.
"At least I hope so," said Augustus.
At this time, several beams of light passed through the bridge, and the sleeping Hyperion woke up, ready to set off like a giant waking up. Outside the Ursa shipyard, countless battleships were moving in silhouette, with huge formations stretching hundreds of miles apart. The wakes of the fusion engines gathered together and swept across the orbit of Korhal like a comet.
The fleet sets off. (End of this chapter)
