After successfully preventing Ultron's birth in the past, Peter returned to the present moment, looked around, and found that Hawkeye and Black Widow were not there.

The spellbook used to communicate with Doctor Strange has also disappeared.

"Is it because of the passage of time that many things have changed?"

This is not surprising; history has changed, and everyone's experience will change accordingly.

Peter immediately left and went to the city outside, wanting to see what the situation was like after history had changed. He thought he would see a peaceful and prosperous city with a constant flow of people.

However, what appeared before them was desolation. Although the city buildings were largely intact, they clearly exuded an aura of death and lifelessness.

"What's going on?" Peter couldn't help but wonder.

If Ultron hadn't been born, humanity on Earth shouldn't have faced any catastrophic crisis.

Even if Thanos succeeds in his plan and wipes out half of all life in the universe, half of humanity will still remain on Earth, and the cities won't be as lifeless as they are now.

Clearly, the disturbance of time by using power beyond Kabuto has triggered some unpredictable butterfly effect.

Where have all the humans gone?

Peter's doubts didn't last long before he saw the vanished humans, if these figures could still be called human.

These "people" who crawled out of nowhere had shriveled bodies, ulcerated skin, exposed flesh and blood, and many were missing limbs.

Drawn to Peter's sudden appearance, pairs of empty, lifeless, and withered eyes, filled with hunger, swarmed over like ants.

Peter looked at the scene before him and his heart skipped a beat. These guys in front of him looked exactly like the zombies in the movies.

With abilities surpassing Kabuto's, Peter was naturally unafraid of these slow-moving zombies, but his heart remained heavy.

The current zombie crisis is probably the chain reaction that Doctor Strange mentioned before, caused by changing time.

Although he traveled through time to prevent the birth of Ultron, a terrible crisis still broke out on Earth, and countless people turned into zombies.

It's just unknown how far this zombie crisis will spread.

Another point is that these slow-moving ordinary zombies should be easily dealt with by any force, let alone superheroes.

However, the scene before us clearly shows that the zombie crisis has not been contained or eliminated at all, and there must be another reason for this.

To understand the current situation, it is necessary to find someone with whom to communicate.

Peter swiftly surveyed the area within several kilometers, finding no other living creatures in the entire city besides zombies.

Not a single survivor...

Looking at the zombies whose eyes were filled with an insatiable thirst for fresh flesh, Peter felt a heavy weight in his heart.

Just as I was about to leave the city, a beam of light suddenly shone into the sky, projecting a map with a striking dot in the center.

Is this guiding me to that place? Peter's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately headed towards the location marked on the map. Finally, he had encountered someone he could communicate with.

“Tony Stark?” Peter looked at the rusty steel armor in front of him and spoke uncertainly.

The armor's eyes lit up, and it spoke: "Mr. Stark is dead, dead inside this armor... I am... Jarvis."

The sound was intermittent, like a broken tape recorder. "What happened?" Peter asked anxiously.

Jarvis then began to recount the whole story to Peter in fits and starts.

When Dr. Hank Pym traveled to the Quantum World to rescue his wife, he contracted an unknown virus and brought it back to Earth.

This virus, capable of turning humans into zombies, spread rapidly.

The Avengers naturally arrived at the scene immediately.

However, Dr. Pym's ability to shrink to the point of being invisible to the naked eye, combined with the fact that the Avengers were caught off guard, almost wiped out, as they were all infected by the virus.

Then the virus spread uncontrollably, and no one could stop the superheroes who retained their abilities after being zombified.

Before Tony Stark completely turned into a zombie and lost his mind, he activated the highest level of access to lock his armor in place, preventing him from spreading the virus and devouring human flesh after becoming a zombie.

If a cure for the virus were found later, he would be able to receive treatment and rescue, but it seems that Tony Stark did not live to see rescue.

"How far has the zombie virus spread now?" Peter asked.

“The zombified superheroes… spread the virus… and the global communication network… gradually collapsed, and most parts of the world fell,” Jarvis said.

"I have less and less information to gather. The last definite news I have is that the remaining humans and superheroes seem to be fighting a battle in Wakanda against a cosmic overlord infected with zombification."

"Perhaps you could go and take a look..."

Even Thanos was infected with this zombie virus?
Peter was startled and secretly clicked his tongue in surprise.

When Thanos went to Earth to retrieve the Infinity Stones, he should have had four of them. In a fight, no one on Earth should be his match.

The only way to infect Thanos is to launch a surprise attack when he is completely unprepared.

That is indeed the case.
Thanos was infected by the zombie virus because he sent his Black Order to Earth with the intention of seizing the Infinity Stones, but they were infected by the zombified superheroes.

Then the Black Order, having lost contact with their subordinates, found Thanos infected as well, even though he himself had arrived on Earth.

“I need to go to the Himalayas first,” Peter said after much deliberation.

The zombie virus outbreak was clearly caused by his time travel to prevent Ultron's birth. The time change triggered a chain reaction, and instead of the Ultron crisis, a zombie crisis emerged.

Logically speaking, knowing the timing of the virus outbreak, it would be entirely possible to travel through time again and prevent the spread of the virus.

However, Peter dared not change history at will, otherwise who knew what new crisis might arise to replace it.

So we need to find Doctor Strange first and discuss a solution.

However, Doctor Strange was able to contact him through the spellbook when he was being searched by the Infinite Ultron Hour before, but now there is no news at all. Could something have happened to him?

But could these zombies, or even zombie-turned superheroes, threaten Doctor Strange, who wields powerful magic and the Time Stone?

Peter was filled with doubts.

However, mere speculation here won't yield results; only by finding Doctor Strange can we obtain all the answers. (End of Chapter)
