Wizard: I brought the wrong system.
Chapter 155 Rights
Chapter 155 Rights
The heart of the academy.
Against the black night sky, stars twinkled and shone, like sparkling pearls or enormous gems.
On the massive, silver-white gear, a gentlemanly old man and a portly middle-aged wizard stood facing each other.
The old man looked very unpleasant; he seemed dissatisfied with the outcome of the previous conversation.
“Anthony, you weren’t like this before.”
After saying that, Bosco felt a pang of regret; his words carried a hint of weakness.
And the thing he least wants to do is give in.
Especially in front of former students.
"Me in the past?"
The portly middle-aged wizard asked with a sneer, "You mean because of a group of refugees storming the residence of a legitimate wizard?"
"Is it all because of a little girl that you stopped the Yakin Empire's 60,000 cavalry?"
Bosco remained silent; he hadn't been referring to any particular thing.
He was disappointed that the boy he had once thought so highly of had made such a decision.
Anthony asked with curiosity, using polite language, "Do you know what happened after those two events?"
Bosco frowned and snapped, "I don't want to waste my breath on you!"
Since Anthony was unwilling to help him, Bosco decided to take matters into his own hands.
Who knows what Alice is up to? The longer it drags on, the more trainees might die!
Anthony shook his head, disappointed, and said, "Mentor, you are still so reckless in your actions, and your style of doing things is still so easy to predict."
"Isn't your intention to use the magical resonance between yourself and the base to draw the misty alternate dimension into the material world?"
As Anthony spoke, he held up a ball of soft light: "Look what this is?"
Bosco stared intently, and a scene of mist appeared in the soft light. He subconsciously looked up at a certain part of the starry sky, where it was already pitch black.
Bosco's pupils contracted: "The link to the Misty Dimension? You removed it?"
Anthony replied matter-of-factly, "Of course, now that I've guessed what you're going to do, I won't leave that weakness here."
"After all, Alice is inside. She can use her own power to stabilize the space and doesn't need to use the energy here anymore."
Bosco stared at the ball of light for a long time, then looked up at Anthony and slowly asked, "What makes you willing to help her like this?"
Anthony said calmly, "Power."
“Rights?” A look of surprise flashed across Bosco’s face. This was an answer he had never expected. “What a ridiculous reason!”
What's ridiculous becomes even more absurd!
"I've already handed over all the affairs to you, including the so-called guard force; you're actually in control!"
"You're telling me now that you helped her for power? That's why you killed so many apprentices?"
Bosco grew increasingly agitated as he spoke, his eyes burning with rage, energy gathering around him, causing ripples in the space around him, and the void energy on his gentleman's cane surging like a tide.
"Anthony, you've successfully made me angry and disgusted!"
Anthony simply shook his head slightly: "No, you didn't give me the key to establishing Owl Wizarding Academy. Because of this, when you die, that will be the time when Owl Wizarding Academy truly perishes."
"Everything I've done is for the academy!"
"Most of the apprentices have long been transferred to the outside world by me. The academy now mainly consists of non-apprentice students. But as long as there are not a large number of apprentices dying, our academy ranking in the Jungle House will not drop."
To Bosco, Anthony's next two sentences sounded like utter nonsense; what truly made him hesitate was Anthony's first sentence.
Bosco's chest heaved violently, but he forced a smile and asked, "What's the key point you're talking about?" "Prestige!"
Anthony explained coldly.
"You were tough throughout your life, and you subdued countless wizards!"
"But look again at what you've done!"
"The academy may seem powerful, but what is it really like? How many wizards are truly loyal to the academy?"
"One, two? Or none?"
"I've never changed. I'm making the necessary sacrifices for a better future for the academy!"
"A complete transformation is always painful; if you want something, you can't achieve it without sacrifice!"
Anthony spoke in a high-sounding manner, but Bosco's expression grew increasingly grim as he listened.
"You want to gain prestige from me instead of earning it yourself? Is that your theory?" Bosco shook his head in disappointment. "I really misjudged you. I never expected you to be so cowardly!"
Before he finished speaking, a phantom suddenly appeared from Bosco's body, surging with energy, and a huge steel claw suddenly grabbed at Anthony out of thin air.
boom!
The energy passed right through him, but Bosco frowned again.
"cowardly?"
Anthony's voice came from mid-air: "You think you have prestige?"
"If you have prestige, why would the academy's instructors be disloyal?"
“You have only earned their fear. Only by breaking your aura can I gain enough prestige to change this academy.”
"I haven't changed; this is just a means to an end!"
The phantom gradually solidified, and a huge black falcon appeared behind Bosco.
Bosco's body gradually floated up, and he coldly demanded, "So, what have you been doing for the past few decades? Wasn't a few decades enough for you to come up with other solutions? Wasn't a few decades enough for you to build up your prestige? Was a few decades only enough for you to come up with this one solution?"
In the void, Anthony's figure gradually emerged, a torn space flowing across his body, yet his voice remained calm: "Mentor, no other methods will work."
“From the moment I became your student, it was impossible for me to gain their trust.”
“Wizards have very long lifespans, and they are not sensitive enough to ordinary information. Doing anything else is not enough to conquer them.”
"I need to improve my skills, and that will take time."
"Only you, only by defeating you, can the halo gathered around you be transferred to me. Only in this way will they be willing to continue to obey me. Only in this way can I have enough time to change all of this."
“Those wizards are like ferocious wolves. Only through the wolf king’s ritual can I truly secure my position as dean.”
"As long as justice is ultimately served, the process in between is not important."
"Mentor...isn't he?"
When people don't see eye to eye, even half a sentence is too much!
Bosco always took the direct approach and never sought the roundabout way.
No matter how you look at it, Bosco doesn't agree with what Anthony said.
"So, you want to use wicked seeds to grow a great tree of justice?"
Bosco’s tone was unusually cold.
"Let me see what tricks you've been preparing for me over the past few decades."
