Chapter 161 Arrogance
The parliament hall half an hour ago.

After Anthony announced his victory over Bosco, the wizards were in an uproar.

Although everyone knew that Bosco was nearing the end of his life, the prestige he had accumulated over the years could not be defeated with just a few words.

Dora crossed her arms, a cold smile on her pretty face: "Who knows if this is all an act? Unless you produce Bosco's head, why should I believe you?"

Anthony remained unmoved and spoke calmly, his voice echoing throughout the council hall with the help of the alchemical equipment in front of him: "I don't need your belief; I'm just making this announcement."

"Then what is the purpose of your announcement?" The portly enchanting instructor suddenly stood up, glaring at Anthony with an aggressive tone.

Meanwhile, other wizards asked, "Would you hunt outside like the wizard Bosco?"

Is Bosco dead?

How do you plan to manage the college?

……

Faced with numerous questions, Anthony simply closed his eyes and leisurely sat sideways in the huge armchair.

As time went by, the questioning gradually subsided, and the wizards, with varying expressions, began to discuss among themselves in hushed tones.

Dora turned to a thin, middle-aged wizard: "Krosh, if Bosco is gone, will you still stay at Owl Academy?"

“Me?” The gaunt middle-aged wizard paused, pondered for a moment, and said, “The ‘Knight’s Defense Class’ is easy to teach and doesn’t take up much time, so I will continue to stay.”

"But have you ever thought about what would happen if Bosco were gone, and no one went hunting? The academy would have to rely on the magic stones distributed by the Jungle House to survive. At that time, would the little gadgets you craft still be able to earn as many magic stones as they do now?"

Dora ruthlessly tore away the academy's fig leaf, "To put it nicely, Bosco single-handedly lowered the academy's prices, but what's the reality? Didn't those magic stones ultimately end up in our hands? If it weren't for that reason, why would we tolerate him so much?"

"If you can't beat them, can't you at least leave?"

“Anthony is one of us. These good days of being fed by others are coming to an end. Do you think the magic stones distributed by the Jungle House are enough for so many wizards to survive?”

“Krosh, I know your battle puppets are incredibly powerful. Let’s leave the academy together, form a hunting team, and earn just as many magic stones as Bosco every year. We won’t need to do something as foolish as him!”

Dora's words made a lot of sense, but perhaps because she had worked with Bosco for so long, she never considered that a comfortable life would not only dull the ferocity of beasts, but also the wizards' desire to fight.

not to mention……

"What's the use of earning so many magic stones?" Krosh shook his head slightly and reminded him, "Once you have a certain amount of magic stones, they're just simple numbers. The right way is to use them to improve your strength."

"As long as my strength improves, earning more magic stones later won't be difficult."

“We’ve been at Owl Academy for so long, we’re familiar with everything about it, and the Academy is backed by Jungle House, where else can you find a safer place than the Academy?”

"Even if you find a stronger force, will they let you become an instructor at the academy? You'll still only be able to work as a simple henchman."

Dora and Krosh's conversation is just a microcosm of the council hall. Only a minority want to leave the academy like Dora, but even though most want to stay, their attitudes are not the same.

Ambitious individuals are causing trouble for Anthony, hoping to seize this opportunity to become the dean.

"Given Bosco's personality, he would never admit defeat. Anthony would definitely kill him! What right does someone like that have to be the dean!"

Wizards who wanted to peek into Bosco's relics or enter the academy's power core joined in the commotion.

Anthony casually remarked, "I simply imprisoned him."

The portly enchanting mentor spoke calmly: "We must ascertain Bosco's current condition; we cannot simply accept whatever you say."

Most wizards, however, watched all this with indifference. They remained silent, not because they had no thoughts, but because no one knew their biases.

Others, however, remained skeptical, and considering that Anthony was indeed the dean, they already harbored some bias. Just then, the freckled youth brought news of Yaro.

……

"I am coming!"

I have been here, I have seen it, I have conquered it!
Yaro did not utter the last two sentences, but the terrifying aura emanating from him spoke volumes.

Anthony had just opened his eyes and was about to force a smile to greet his 'weak' 'junior brother' when the door opened, and his fake smile froze.

Black flames swirled around, lightning flashed, and the aura soared into the sky!

Nearly a year has passed, and the boy who was once short is no longer there. His tall and slender figure is now clad in a well-fitting, long, dark black suit of armor.

On either side of the dark black armor's shoulders are a pair of enormous, interlocking phoenix claws, forming a towering shoulder guard.

The chest is covered with intricate patterns resembling both eyes and feathers, suggesting it is a variant of 'fish scale armor'.

The armor's limbs are carved with the long, beautiful tail feathers of a phoenix.

Behind the blond boy, a proud black phoenix peeked out, its long, slender eyes scanning the surroundings with a lively expression.

The dense abyssal power spread out, blowing fine sand and gravel from the hard, enchanted ground.

"Chirp—!"

His voice was metallic, clear and penetrating, proclaiming his pride and echoing the words of the black-armored, blond-haired boy.

boom!
The magic within the nearby wizards was involuntarily activated, causing distortions to appear in the air.

Boom boom boom!
As if some mechanism had been triggered, all the wizards in the council hall stirred up their own magic.

The wizards could have suppressed this instinctive reaction, but instead, they all let it run wild.

Even though they didn't use this magic to construct spells, magic itself is a fusion of mental power and void energy.

When all the wizards unleashed their magic, the air in the council hall seemed to freeze.

This solidification is not just a description, but a real phenomenon!
clap clap clap!
The magic clashed, and lightning and thunder suddenly filled the void.

Anthony paused slightly, silently condoning it all.

The blond boy remained expressionless, but the black flame phoenix on his back was enraged by the provocations from those around him.

"Chirp!"

"Chirp!"

"Chirp—!"

With each clear cry, the gray-black aura surrounding the boy intensified, and the phoenix's size rapidly expanded along with the aura. After the last long cry, the Black Flame Phoenix had reached a size of four meters!

With a slow flap of his wings, a raging aura surged into the sky, and the golden-haired boy's body floated up amidst the dense, surging magical power.

"Humph!"

The blond boy looked around and gave a disdainful snort.

Stepping through the void, the Black Flame Phoenix spread its wings and soared, slowly moving towards the center.
