Wizard: I brought the wrong system.
Chapter 50 The Silent Forest
Chapter 50 The Silent Forest
The airship sped silently through the sky.
Yaro had originally planned to inquire about the situation at the academy from Desi on the way, but after discovering that the airship might be a living thing, he had no choice but to abandon that idea.
The blue sky and white clouds outside the window were indeed beautiful, but Yaro had flown before in his previous life, and he got tired of this scenery after only a few glances.
He simply followed Deci's example, covering his head with a piece of clothing and closing his eyes to rest.
……
boom!
The calm airship suddenly trembled, and Yaro abruptly opened his eyes.
Is it finally here?
Yaro glanced at the window beside him, but all he saw outside were towering trees, making it difficult to tell the time.
Swish!
A deep, resonant sound came from all around again, causing Yaro's skin to tremble slightly.
"We have arrived at the Silent Forest. Please disembark immediately, both trainees!"
The side door opened again, and Desi yawned, picked up his luggage, and got up.
"Yaro, let's go."
It really does have that strange feeling of returning to university.
"Ok."
Yaro picked up his knight's sword, slung his bundle over his shoulder, and followed Desi out of the airship.
"Brother Desi, have we arrived at the academy? The surroundings don't look quite right."
I'm afraid they're going to conduct some kind of assessment again.
Yaro was getting a little annoyed by the endless series of tests.
"We've arrived. Take out your card and follow me closely."
Is this it?
Yaro mimicked Desi's actions, holding the card in front of him and curiously looking around.
We didn't see any buildings, and apart from the sound of our own footsteps, there wasn't a single other sound around us. It didn't look like a college at all.
Desi led Yaro behind a giant, ancient tree. As the tree's shadow enveloped them, the metal cards in their hands suddenly emitted a faint glow.
Desi suddenly spoke up and asked, "Yaro, do you know what the best way to guard against strange spaces is?"
"what?"
Yaro looked at Desi with a puzzled expression; he really didn't know the answer to this question.
"The best way to prevent strange spaces..."
"That's right, you're in a bizarre space!"
Swish!
Two black holes suddenly appeared in the ground, and Yaro and his companion quickly fell down.
Then--
Bright light shines forth!
Welcome to the Owl Wizarding Academy!
boom--!
A burst of dense sounds suddenly erupted, and after a moment, the roaring sound gradually subsided. As it faded, Yaro was able to distinguish the calls of different insects and birds from it.
The sun shone on me again, and the sounds of vendors hawking their wares filled the air.
"Basic stamina potion, selling cheap!"
"Moon Grass produced in Dimension No. 63, bulk discounts available!"
"Tailor-made apprentice clothes, only 26 silver coins!"
Are there any elementalist apprentices going to the eerie space number 13 together?
……
"Please give way."
The voice came from behind Yaro. Yaro quickly took a few steps forward and made way for him. Soon, a boy dressed in gray-black apprentice clothes walked over and blended into the crowd on the street ahead.
Yaro looked behind him and found that there was a narrow dead-end alley behind him.
"It's getting late, let's hurry up and go. You don't have anywhere to stay yet, it'll be troublesome if we go too late."
Yaro quickly followed, looking curiously at the strange things around him, and asked, "Brother Desi, where are we going?"
As Desi walked, he explained, "Since you didn't arrive at the normal start of the school year, I can only take you to the mission hall to register."
"Once you report for duty, you'll be assigned a room, and I'll be able to hand over my mission."
Yaro was interested in everything around him and really wanted to stop and explore.
Ke Desi's words make sense. The key now is to arrange the trivial matters properly. There will be plenty of time to understand the things around us in the future.
The people around him were dressed very similarly to Desi, and Desi was walking very fast, so Yaro dared not be distracted and followed closely behind.
Before long, the two found themselves in another dead-end alley. "Yarlo, do you see that shadow on the ground?"
Yaro nodded in confusion: "I saw it."
"That's the location for spatial teleportation. Through it, we can quickly reach many locations within the academy."
Yaro looked ahead hesitantly.
Why does this alley look exactly the same as the place we just visited?
Desi noticed Yaro's confusion and explained, "All those capable of spatial teleportation look pretty much the same."
"We call this kind of place a corner road."
"Streets with many corners are called corner streets."
"The same corner road can only be used again after three hours."
"So if you're in a hurry, you'll need to walk down the corner street and look for the next corner."
Does the same location require a three-hour cooldown period?
No wonder Desi led me for so long.
"Quickly stand in this shade."
Yaro quickly followed, carefully observing the ground and meticulously gathering all the edges of his clothes, trying not to leave a single corner exposed.
Seeing that Aristides was in position, Desi stamped his foot and chanted, "Aristides!"
Swish!
Yaro and his companion fell to the ground again.
……
After a brief moment of confusion, Yaro looked up at his surroundings and found that nothing had changed.
"Yaro, let's go."
"Huh? Hmm? Is it done?"
Yaro followed Desi in a daze, looking around in confusion.
Didn't we fail?
Desi looked at Yaro with amusement and said with a smile, "We've arrived."
"arrive?"
Yaro looked outside in confusion.
The outside is still bustling with people, just like before.
Desi encouraged her, "Take two steps forward and see."
Yaro walked forward hesitantly.
boom--!
"I want to accept the Armor-136 mission!"
"I worked so hard to complete the mission, and I only got this few magic stones!"
"Hurry up, hurry up, I want to go back to sleep!"
……
An incredibly spacious hall unfolded before Yaro, filled with an unusually noisy atmosphere and towering roofs dozens of meters high.
Yaro was momentarily dazed.
Am I... at the airport terminal?
Desi walked up to Yaro with a chuckle: "Surprised? I was the same when I first saw it. I never expected a mission hall to be so big, and with so many people."
"Alright, I'll take you to register. Let's get things done as soon as possible."
Yalu, carrying large and small bags, looked around like a country bumpkin visiting the Grand View Garden, finding everything new and exciting.
Desi took out the card again and swiped it on a nearby stone pillar.
Then a faint light emanated from the card, revealing a string of numbers.
Number 136!
Ok? ? ?
Yaromu is gone.
what's going on?
Don't try to fool me, I recognize this thing!
Desi waved the card in his hand. "Isn't it amazing?"
"Well, um... I do have a bit of a feeling about it."
Desi waved his hand casually and said with a grin, "Actually, to be honest, it's just like that. You'll see later. I won't ruin your beautiful fantasy."
