Wizard: I brought the wrong system.

Chapter 559 Baron Claire's Sudden Visit

Chapter 559 Baron Claire's Sudden Visit
Destruction is always easier than construction.

It is far easier to misalign acupoints than to open them up.

However, if a single acupoint is to affect the entire body, the degree of damage must be severe; otherwise, it can lead to lifelong disability.

Therefore, this method can only be called "acupressure," which is an application technique of striking, and should not be called "acupressure."

Most scenarios that require the use of 'pressure point striking' are not for the purpose of killing.

To control without killing, one must stimulate multiple acupoints, like the "Eight Extremes Method," and utilize the body's mechanisms, much like a computer virus, to induce negative effects.

There are generally two directions, and the ultimate goal of both should be to target muscles.

The first is to paralyze the nerves, causing paralysis of all muscles in the body.

The second is to stimulate the muscles, causing them to become overexcited, tense up, and thus self-imposed confinement.

With skill points currently scarce, Yaro does not intend to use them for deduction.

With our current knowledge, we can only do the most basic acupressure.

To achieve the effect of 'acupressure' to immobilize someone, the first method requires touching the nerves, which is the level of the "Shen Zi Jue" (神字诀). The second method, at the very least, requires affecting the endocrine system, which is the level of the "Tong Zi Jue" (通字诀).

Neither of the two solutions is feasible at the moment. We can only record the inspiration for now and consider the matter of 'pressure point striking' after we have fully mastered the 'Eight Extremes Method' or have extra skill points.

……

The next morning, as Yaro was organizing acupoints suitable for 'pressure point' in the library, Bard walked in carrying a small pouch the size of a finger.

"Lord Yarrow, this is a letter from Baron Claire, sent by Steward Dylan via carrier pigeon."

"A letter from the Baron? How strange, it's rare that he still remembers me."

Yaro was joking around, but his expression turned cold when he saw the contents of the envelope.

Bevan, who was learning about acupoints nearby, asked curiously, "Teacher, what did my father say?"

"See for yourself."

Bevin took the envelope and his expression changed immediately.

"A knight has left Scalo Fortress to attack the teacher?"

He looked up abruptly, his face full of indignation. "Teacher, isn't the Earl going too far? He stole grain from you just a few days ago, and now he's sending people to harm you again!"

Yaro's mood was also unsettled. The long-term torment of the abyss magic and the numerous bloody battles had long since awakened the violence within him.

But upon hearing Bevin's biased words, Yaro suddenly remembered his identity as a teacher, and a calm smile reappeared on his face.

"Bevin, don't say such harsh things."

“I’ve said it before: let Butler Dylan take charge of the Viscount’s territory. The whole process was simple: the Earl’s territory bought grain and borrowed a passage through us. Butler Dylan naturally has the authority to make the decisions.”

"Moreover, the allure of profit is strong. If someone has tried it and survived without being poisoned, many hungry people will naturally follow suit."

“Those official knights went to the earldoms in order to become nobles; they were all people who pursued profit. The earldoms were in a position to ask for their help, so although they had anticipated this and implemented certain measures, they couldn’t be too forceful, and it was normal for them to overlook some things.”

Yaro's true thoughts were not as tolerant as he claimed.

Let's leave the matter of food aside for now.

After all, Yaro accepted the title of Viscount in order to have a dominant position, to gather the Witchers, to use the entire Viscount territory to support the academy, and to support the underground base hidden behind it.

As long as the academy doesn't cause any problems, Yaro doesn't bother with the affairs of the viscount's territory.

But this situation... just doesn't make sense!
The earldom is in wartime!

How did someone manage to escape like that?
How is the battlefield controlled?
You say you lack official knights, but they're not part of your group, and they even need your help. The power is in your hands.

Why not just temporarily enfeoff them, form alliances, and let them govern themselves?

After much thought, only one possibility came to mind: the count simply didn't care about him. Or rather, the count valued the official knights who went to support their territory more!

Yaro was unaware of the details, but that was the conclusion he reached.

"Teacher, what should we do now?"

"Now?"

Yaro narrowed his eyes slightly and said slowly, "Naturally, we'll go to Viscount Lix's mansion and wait for our guests to arrive."

"Teacher, I want to go too!" Bevan said eagerly.

"you?"

Yaro glanced back, somewhat hesitant.

He wasn't going to do anything good, bringing his students along... it just doesn't make sense.

People in this world might not think much of it, but Yaro had a bit of a 'teacher' mentality.

Bevan quickly said, "Teacher, you know my current situation. Nowhere is safer than being by your side. I can only stay with you!"

That's true.

At worst, we just won't kill anyone. There's no rule that says we have to kill.

……

The Earl's territory is more than three times larger than the Viscount's territory. Judging from the distance, if they start from the same edge of the territory, Yaro should be able to reach the Viscount's mansion in Lix City before the 'guest'.

Unexpectedly, no sooner had Yaro arrived than the "guest" came.

Along with him was an unexpected person.

"Baron Claire? How did he get involved with my 'guest'?"

Before the servant could explain, Yaro raised his hand to interrupt, grabbed the Fiery Greatsword, and gestured with his chin, "Never mind, it makes no difference. Where are they now?"

"Baron Claire and several other full knights are waiting for you in the drawing room."

As soon as the servant finished speaking, Aaron strode toward the reception room.

Bevan jogged to catch up, anxiously saying, "Teacher, please don't misunderstand. There must be a reason why Father came with those people!"

He was afraid that Yaro would act recklessly, like in the bizarre space of the giant, and destroy the entire Viscount's mansion with a single move.

Yaro glanced back and said calmly, "In your eyes, is your teacher a reckless person? If you're really worried, come with me."

Baron Claire had just given the tip when he arrived.

Although Yaro did not know the reason, he was not so sure that he would suspect anything because of it.

Bevan quickly agreed and followed Yaro nervously.

Without another word, the two walked through the dilapidated corridor and entered the reception room through the main passage at the back. There they saw Baron Claire, clad in heavy armor and still covered in the smoke of battle, standing upright in the center of the reception room.

"Father……"

Bevan called out, but then didn't know what to say.

"Good day, Wizard Yarrow." Baron Claire ignored Bevan, his expression calm and serious, and tapped his breastplate as he bowed to Yarrow in greeting.

"Good day."

Yarrow nodded, but his gaze drifted to behind Baron Claire. "Where are my guests? Didn't you say you came with them?"
