Chapter 814 Infiltrating the Foot of Mount Ling

Chapter 814 Infiltrating the Foot of Mount Ling
After listening, Hu Xiuwu asked one last question: "By the way, do you know a Taoist priest named Taiyi Zhenren whose Taoist temple is located in Jinguang Cave on Qianyuan Mountain?"

Nezha tilted his head, looking like a genuinely confused and bewildered fourteen or fifteen-year-old boy: "Taiyi Zhenren? Never heard of him."

Hu Xiuwu's eyes shone with divine light, confirming that Nezha's innate Qi and primordial spirit had not been tampered with, his memories had not been altered, and he had not forgotten his origins.

Although Nezha was puzzled, he still accepted Hu Xiuwu's examination without hesitation.

After scanning for a while, the light in Hu Xiuwu's eyes gradually faded, and he slowly exhaled: "That's good, I was just overthinking it."

It seems that the world I've come to still largely uses the background of the Journey to the West world.

The descriptions of Nezha's origins differ between the Journey to the West and Investiture of the Gods universes.

In the Journey to the West world, after Nezha returned his bones to his father and his flesh to his mother, he was reborn by the Buddha using a lotus flower. So later, Nezha broke off relations with Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, and wanted to kill him. The Buddha then gave Li Jing a magnificent pagoda inlaid with ten thousand Buddha statues, so that Nezha could recognize the pagoda as his father.

In the world of Investiture of the Gods, it was Taiyi Zhenren who used the green lotus he obtained from Yuxu Palace to reshape Nezha's lotus incarnation.

Since Nezha doesn't recognize Taiyi Zhenren, it means that Nezha's version is still the Journey to the West version.

This also means that Hu Xiuwu did not discover the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Jade Void Palace lineage during the hundreds of years of Black Myth, not because they were well hidden and were preparing to be the fisherman in the fight between the snipe and the clam.

Rather, it genuinely did not draw upon the entire background of the Investiture of the Gods.

Hu Xiuwu did not find the so-called Jade Void Palace, yet he still doubted its existence.

It's because of Erlang Shen and the six brothers of Meishan.

Because the six brothers of Meishan were described in the Investiture of the Gods as six monsters who were subdued by Erlang Shen.

However, in the traditional Journey to the West, the six brothers of Meishan were actually human beings.

In Black Myth, however, there are six monsters, clearly using the setting from Investiture of the Gods.

Hu Xiuwu must determine exactly how much of the Investiture of the Gods setting was borrowed from in Black Myth. If there is Taiyi Zhenren, there will be twelve Golden Immortals of Yuxu Palace, and there will be Yuanshi Tianzun who is on par with Taishang Laojun.

If there were a Primordial Celestial Venerable...
If there is Yuanshi Tianzun, then there might be Tongtian Jiaozhu.

That's really going to go on forever.

There are too many competitors, even Hu Xiuwu can't control them all.

Now, he only has two major obstacles in front of him, which makes him much easier to deal with.

Nezha asked, "What are your plans?"

Hu Xiuwu said, "An impregnable fortress is often breached from within."

······
"...So, I brought my mother and sister to Lingshan."

Nezha stood at the foot of Mount Ling, his hands clasped together, the lotus flower body that Buddha had bestowed upon him glowing.

Behind him was Li Zhenying, who looked like a seven or eight-year-old girl, and Madam Eun, a gentle yet resilient woman.

Meanwhile, Venerable Ananda and Venerable Kasyapa, sitting opposite him, remained silent as they looked at Nezha's family, unsure how to respond to him.

Nezha is displaying a physical body personally bestowed upon him by the Buddha of Mount Ling; he is the Buddha's adopted son.

On the other hand, the news of Nezha's rebellion against the Heavenly Court spread like wildfire throughout the Three Realms. The Jade Emperor was furious and ordered Erlang Shen to hunt down Nezha and bring him to justice.

Venerable Ananda put his hands together and said with difficulty, "Junior brother, we also want to send you to Mount Ling..." After the red-faced one finished speaking, Venerable Kasyapa began to play the bad cop: "However, the Heavenly Court has already issued an arrest warrant for you. Without the Buddha's order, we really dare not let you in."

Nezha looked a little awkward as he took out the Golden Elixir Sand that Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, had once collected from his pocket.

Ananda's finger twitched, and then he covered it with his sleeve.

This thing was made from an entire mountain of gold, making it extremely precious. It is a key raw material for both refining magical artifacts and for forging Vajra warriors, and it is a hard currency in the Three Realms.

When Sun Wukong came to Mount Ling to ask for help in dealing with the Green Ox Demon, Buddha sent eighteen Arhats with eighteen golden pills to fight the Green Ox Demon.

Hu Xiuwu witnessed the final result: the eighteen golden elixir sands fell into the Vajra Bracelet and were taken to the Tushita Palace by the Green Ox Demon.

Then, Nezha took out the Taiyi Purple Gold Pill, which was in a box in the Tushita Palace, with his right hand.

Venerable Kasyapa stared wide-eyed, unable to look away.

Nezha handed the treasures in his hands to Venerable Ananda and Venerable Kasyapa: "Please convey to the Buddha that I have an important matter to report to him, Brother Ananda and Brother Kasyapa."

Venerable Ananda and Venerable Kasyapa clearly wanted to snatch the thing from Nezha's hand immediately, but they pretended to refuse and pushed Nezha's outstretched hand back.

But their fingers were tightly gripping the box containing the elixir and the golden elixir powder.

There was no three or three pushes; Nezha simply pushed back once gently.

Ananda and Kasyapa had already taken the opportunity to put the items into their pockets.
The temptation of what Nezha brought out was simply too great. Even Buddha only offered eighteen golden pills as an apology to Laozi. For his disciples, having even one was an extraordinary feat.

Ananda even secretly wondered to himself: 'The Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King is truly a cunning rat, managing to accumulate such a single golden elixir. I wonder if this is all the wealth he possesses.'

Kasyapa sent Nezha and his family to one of the three thousand Buddha kingdoms at the foot of Mount Ling, while Venerable Ananda went to see the Tathagata and informed him of Nezha's plea for help.

Without the precious treasure given by Nezha, things wouldn't have been so simple.

When Tang Sanzang arrived at the foot of Mount Ling on his journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures, he was met with difficulties from Ananda and Kasyapa. They refused to give him the true scriptures of Mahayana Buddhism unless he bribed them.

Venerable Ananda transformed into a rainbow light that pierced through the world, while Kasyapa pointed a flower and cleared a path for Nezha's family.

The Buddhist concept of the Three Thousand Buddha Lands originates from the Three Thousand Great Worlds in Buddhist scriptures. According to Buddhist scriptures, there are one thousand great worlds in the universe, each great world has one thousand medium worlds, and each medium world has one thousand small worlds.

Mount Ling is no ordinary mountain. Although it is higher than the Golden Peak Snow Mountain with its peak reaching 10,000 meters and larger than the snowfield covering thousands of miles, it is still just an ordinary thing. What qualifications does it have to be the Buddha's sacred site?

Lingshan is a mountain, yet not a mountain; it is a mountain upon a mountain, a temple upon a temple, and a temple upon a temple.

The Buddha has ten thousand forms, the mountain has a thousand faces, and the world has a dual nature.

At the latitude and longitude points of Lingshan, in addition to the surface Lingshan, there are three thousand other Lingshan mountains.

Unlike the Thirty-Six Heavens of Heaven, which are stacked like building blocks, the Thirty-Six Heavens are not as structured.

However, the three thousand Buddhist kingdoms of Lingshan are all located at the same latitude and longitude point.

When making plans, Nezha explained the wonders of Mount Ling to Hu Xiuwu.

I initially thought Hu Xiuwu would have a hard time understanding the laws governing the existence of Mount Ling, but having been exposed to modern physics, Hu Xiuwu quickly grasped the complexities of Mount Ling.

This is the legendary parallel world, the City of a Thousand Stars.
