Chapter 865 The Troublesome Path of Cause and Effect

Chapter 865 The Troublesome Path of Cause and Effect
The Buddha's eyes were slanted upwards, filled with a scarlet killing intent. It seemed as if snake fangs were growing out of his mouth. His hands were clasped together in front of his chest, but his head stretched forward like a snake to his chest, making him look ferocious and terrifying.

This is no longer the wrathful form of Acala, used to subdue demons and evil spirits.

This is what Mara, the Demon King, looks like.

Anger and resentment arise, thoughts and intentions arise, and the face changes with the mind. It is because the heart is filled with boundless killing intent and malice that the gentle and compassionate Buddha-like appearance is transformed into a demonic appearance.

The Buddha roared, "You really think you can defeat me?"

Maitreya Buddha closed his eyes, unable to bear seeing the Buddha's ugly state: "Amitabha."

Hu Xiuwu was full of fighting spirit: "How will we know if we don't try?"

Execute, slaughter, trap, annihilate.

The four aspirations for world destruction were shaped into the Four Swords of Zhuxian.

The four swords swirled around, embodying the four meanings of collapse, destruction, slaughter, and extermination. They corrupted the immortal's physical body, severed the immortal's spiritual fruit, extinguished the immortal's primordial spirit, and extinguished any chance of rebirth.

The four swords combined to slay and annihilate, staining the robes of even the most powerful immortals with blood.

The Buddha tilted his head back, reverting to his solemn Buddha form. He was the first victim of Hu Xiuwu's Seven Killings Order and Immortal Slaughtering Order, and he knew better than anyone the power of the Immortal Slaughtering Order.

With hands outstretched, the cycle of cause and effect, the turning of fate, are all in the palm of one's hand.

The Jade Emperor governs all laws, while Laozi is particularly skilled in Yin and Yang.

As for the Tathagata, he was well-versed in the principles of cause and effect.

First strike the result, then create the cause; or correct the cause and effect, transfer the cause and effect, turn the result into the cause, and follow the cause to achieve the result.

Just like Venerable Kasyapa's finger gesture of holding up a flower. The more karmic ties between the two parties involved, the more accurate the gesture will be.

Even the Buddha could use the thread of cause and effect to unleash a sure-hit attack.

With the ten powers of the Tathagata, one can grasp the present and foresee the future.

Kasyapa was able to stand by the Buddha's side because he was one of the few disciples who understood the Buddha's profound understanding of cause and effect.

Another one is Buddha's favorite disciple, now known as Tang Sanzang, the Buddha of Sandalwood Merit.

However, the principle of cause and effect alone is unlikely to have any effect on a Great Luo Golden Immortal. A Great Luo Golden Immortal has already restrained his own existence, and the cause and effect of his own existence is difficult to shake.

Even the Buddha could not use the Dao of Cause and Effect to directly destroy a Great Luo Golden Immortal, but he could use the Dao of Cause and Effect indirectly to destroy a Great Luo Golden Immortal.

Breaking the causal chain, violating the law of causality. Spells or objects will naturally be destroyed or disappear due to the paradox.

Planting seeds may produce fruit, but if they are not properly cared for, lack water, or are infested with insects, they will die.

This is the correction of cause and effect.

By removing the seeds directly, the possibility of them bearing fruit is completely eliminated.

This is breaking the law of causality.

First obtain the fruit, then plant the seed. First shoot the arrow, then draw the target. First hit the target, then release the arrow.

This is turning effect into cause.

When prepared, the Buddha is undoubtedly the most unpredictable of all the Great Immortals, making him impossible to guard against.

Just like now, the Buddha is staring at the Four Swords of Zhuxian.

Pure destruction, without any cause or effect. Even Hu Xiuwu had to be extremely careful when wielding them. They were the four most ferocious and evil swords in the world.

However, it was very difficult to hit the Buddha. The four swords of Zhuxian pierced through the Buddha's chest, but the latter did not die.

With a gaping hole in his chest, its edges etched with the dark, destructive power of his wounds, he calmly stepped down from the altar, the wound on his chest healing as he walked.

The Buddha Tathagata corrected cause and effect. He was first struck by the Four Swords of Zhuxian, and only later walked to the Buddha's altar, where he changed the cause and effect.

The cause is presented as the effect, and the current evasive action is grafted onto the past before being hit. The original cause and effect of 'being hit' is changed to 'dodging'.

Law of Cause and Effect: Pick flowers and bury seeds.

First pick the flowers, then plant their seeds. If only the Buddha could devour the Jade Emperor and Laozi, gaining some of the Snake God's power...

The Buddha Fu Rulai could even correct the past through cause and effect, changing the 'cause' that led Hu Xiuwu to Black Myth.

Even if the Four Swords of Zhuxian cannot be destroyed by the Dao of Cause and Effect, once this supernatural power is unleashed, the Four Swords of Zhuxian will still be unable to strike the Buddha.

Unless, of course, Hu Xiuwu could also comprehend the law of cause and effect and write the 'destined' ending for the four swords of Zhuxian before they were even shot out.

However, Hu Xiuwu in his current state could not possibly surpass the Buddha in the understanding of cause and effect.

The Buddha raised his palms high, supporting the heavens above. The light of the great sun gathered in his hands, and a raging true fire burned, becoming the most dazzling light on Mount Chengling. Boundless light and boundless heat were contained in the Buddha's palm.

Another of Buddha's supernatural powers: the Great Sun True Fire.

The Great Sun True Fire can burn everything, and even the Dao body of a Great Luo True Immortal cannot withstand the prolonged burning of the Great Sun True Fire.

Kasyapa can use the Four Noble Truths to achieve an attack that is almost impossible to dodge, and the Buddha can also use the law of cause and effect to achieve a cause and effect that is sure to hit.

The perfectly round, great fire of the sun was projected out.

In another daze, it was as if time had slipped away, and there was no trace of the Great Sun True Fire flying.

Hu Xiuwu was already burning with intense passion.

The true fire scorched Hu Xiuwu's Dao body, testing the hardness of his Great Luo Dao body. The edges of the Kangjin Chainmail were gradually turning crimson, and the Kangjin Dragon Girl struggled desperately inside the armor.

However, the Kangjin Chainmail wouldn't last much longer.

Hu Xiuwu suddenly trembled like a cat shaking off water, releasing Yin and Yang Qi. Taking advantage of the Yin-Yang transformation, he directly flung out the Great Sun True Fire.

Like a phoenix soaring out of flames, or a dragon emerging from the water, they leave the fire without a single spark touching them.

This technique and its effect are very similar to the "two polarities" form of the chosen one, as well as the yin-yang fish of the Flaming Mountain land deity.

Hu Xiuwu could pass on the transformation of Yin and Yang to the chosen one, so he himself could naturally learn the profound supernatural power of Yin-Yang reversal by taking the Yin-Yang fish as his teacher, and use the transformation of Yin and Yang to remove the adverse effects and spells on his body.

The key point is that Hu Xiuwu raised the last Golden Crow in the Black Mythology World and knew a lot about the Great Sun True Fire, so eliminating the Great Sun True Fire was much easier for him.

After several rounds of testing, Hu Xiuwu's Four Swords of Immortal Execution could not hit the Buddha, while the Buddha could hit Hu Xiuwu, but his Great Sun True Fire could not harm Hu Xiuwu.

Hu Xiuwu sighed helplessly: "As expected, the last time was just a coincidence. When Grand Luo Golden Immortals get serious, none of them are ordinary or mediocre."

On the other hand, even Buddha Tathagata found Hu Xiuwu troublesome.

The Buddha's Ten Powers far surpass those of Prince Zhang. Prince Zhang can only see his opponent's weaknesses, but the Buddha can see the cause and effect of all things in the universe.

Hu Xiuwu had very few causal lines on his body, and even the Buddha could not see the causal lines before he first appeared a thousand years ago.

The vast and distant void isolates the distant causes and effects of multiple worlds, which even the Buddha himself could not clearly see.

Hu Xiuwu and the Buddha could not defeat each other.
