Chapter 35 - Rika
The lotus lantern at the entrance was lit up, and the office welcomed No. 20, No. [-] customer.

"Hey, my lord, you are so hardworking."

A shrill female voice came from the door, and the voice was like chalk scraping on the blackboard. I turned my ears back to avoid the harsh sound.

"Please come in."

This guest is tall and white all over.A pair of hind legs with anti-joint structure are very eye-catching. The Achilles tendons are slender, and the feet are triangular and pointed, as if wearing exquisite pointed boots.

When she got closer, I could see it more clearly—the guest's skull was very high, without hair, and a few tendril-like tendrils swayed behind his head. This look reminds me of the aliens in the movie "Alien".The alien in the movie is black and the guest is white.

Guests sit lightly on wooden chairs with their legs crossed.

"Fortunately, I'm at the front of the queue. It's really not easy to get your number."

The guest propped one hand on his knee, and the other hand was raised in front of him, as if holding a long-stem cigarette out of thin air.Several slender fingers alternated back and forth in the air, and kneaded each other.

"Hello, what should I call you?"

"Rika,"

Rika looked at me with narrowed dark blue eyes, as if observing me carefully.

I wrote the word "Lika" on the rice paper: "Alright Lika, what can I do for you today?"

Lika propped her hands on her knees in the air, and leaned forward: "Tired? Writer?"

"Rule number one, you understand."

After hearing this, Rika narrowed her eyes again and leaned back on the back of the chair. Her brain was running fast and loud, and I seemed to hear the wind of her thinking.

"My lord, you will probably ask me how I came to this hell, what I did before, do I have any regrets, etc. Right?"

Before this guest entered the door, my head was swollen vaguely—it wasn’t a terrible pain, it was just a feeling like a layer of fog covering my brain, like an existence that didn’t belong to me mixed in my head, but I I don't know where the fog came from, and whether it will dissipate by itself—I thought it was caused by sleepiness—but following Rika's words, the fog in my mind became thicker and my thinking speed slowed down.

Before I had time to answer her, she continued talking on her own.

"The answers to these questions are what you want to bring back to the world? I don't understand why you do this."

Rika stood up from her chair. The moment she stood up, I chanted the golden light spell, and the barrier opened, blocking the wooden table and Rika.

Lika looked at the golden talisman and smiled: "Oh, the reaction is quite fast. It doesn't seem to be tired enough, so it's okay to write, my lord."

I really want to stand up at this moment, but my body is heavy and my mind is stiff, as if I am firmly pressed on the chair. The mist was spreading, extending from between the eyebrows to the throat.

What is going on here?

"I said that I can't ask about my private affairs. My mental state is naturally my private matter. If there is nothing wrong, I can go."

I was faintly displeased, and the sapphire pen was already glowing green in my hand.

Lika paced back and forth in front of the golden talisman barrier: "I'm afraid the writing lord will not have the strength to chase away the guests right now, isn't he?"

I meditate in my heart, eyes, eyes are you there? What's happening here?
There was a movement in the shoulder blades on the back, and the eyes opened silently: "Writing, this matter is not something that can be solved with strength alone, I can't interfere."

"Why can't you intervene?"

"Writing, although I am for you, but I am not you. I have nothing to do with this matter, only you can do it."

After finishing speaking, his eyes closed slowly again, and ignored me.

"Yo? What about the little eyes on your back?" Lika said with a smile, "I come from the same latitude as your eyes. I'm an old acquaintance with your eyes, and they can't do anything to me."

"Well, that's it." I gave up struggling from the chair, and simply leaned back, leaning on the back of the chair.

"How?" Lika stopped pacing, looked at me, and was still reading my mind.

"The golden light talisman has been opened, you can't come in, and I can't get out. You don't want to tell me what you came for today, and I can't get up to chase you out, so let's do it, waste."

"Writing, you are so naive. I am a rich man of time, and you mortals have short lives. Do you want to spend your whole life here?"

"It's not like that. When the time is up, the door to the world will open, and I will go back. Before that, a dead end will be a dead end. It's just a matter of patience."

I put my legs on the wooden chair, put my hands on my knees, and looked at Lika coldly.

"As expected of the writing master, there is always a way out. No wonder you were born as a mortal, and even demons and ghosts can't do anything to you." Lika suddenly smiled, and she slowly approached the golden light barrier, "But you were wrong from the beginning, I'm not some monster."

Lika's thin right hand stretched forward towards the golden light barrier. I stared at this hand, first the fingertips, knuckles, and then the back of the hand. It actually passed through the barrier like this, and slowly approached my throat. The dense fog had spread below my chest, and I tried my best to flip off the wooden chair and fall to the ground.

Seeing me in such a state of distress, Lika laughed: "I never thought that the writing master would be here today."

The ink inkstone and rice paper on the desk were all pushed away by her, and the ink inkstone fell to the floor, splashing a pitch black.Lika knelt on the wooden table, crawled over with her whole body, and went straight through the golden light barrier.

She straddled my chair with long legs.A pair of blue eyes stared straight at me lying on the ground panting heavily.

"Why do this?"

The thick fog has almost filled my body, and every breath I feel is difficult.

"Why? Why?" Lika grinned, "There's no reason, it's just for fun!"

Lika suddenly turned over from the wooden chair, sat on me, pinched my neck with both hands, and instantly hit my throat through the skin, and the thick fog froze into ice slag, stinging the internal organs of my body Six internal organs.

"Writing, don't you also like to play?"

The sapphire pen was still in my right hand, I held the pen like a dagger, stabbed forward with the sharp awl at the end, and plunged the sapphire pen deep into Lika's belly.Lika's eyes widened for a moment, and she stared at me unexpectedly, her hands on my neck loosened.

"If there is nothing wrong, I will see off the guests." My throat hurts from the cold, and my voice is already hoarse.

The sapphire pen emitted a scorching green light in Lika's body, Lika screamed, and took two steps back while clutching her stomach.Just when I was about to wave the sapphire pen to send her out, she suddenly rushed over, grabbed my right hand holding the sapphire pen, and slammed it on the ground twice, trying to smash the pen in my hand.

"Even if I leave, your exhaustion will not be relieved in the slightest. This is a gift from me, write it, you can enjoy it!"

"Fatigue is my business, and how to deal with it is also my business."

The back of my right hand was already bleeding from being knocked on the floor by her, but I still held on to the sapphire pen tightly.

"Killing you is a breeze."

"If it's so easy, what are you still worried about?"

Lika roared, raised her left hand in the air, and slapped me hard, a bloody smell spread in her mouth instantly. Her huge bone claws pinched my cheeks, she looked down at me, her face was already close to the tip of my nose, her dark blue eyes were full of anger.

"I have never seen such a mortal who spared his life!"

"I'm not risking my life, what do you think I can do now?" I asked back.

Another slap came down, and I was slapped. The inside of my mouth should have been smashed, and I was a little numb even speaking.

I tried my best to feel the numb tongue, and said vaguely: "Okay, so you came to me today just to beat me up?"

"Don't be glib with me," Lika scolded.

"It's not that I'm glib, I'm simply inexplicable now..."

Lika was about to slap her down again, but I grabbed her wrist, but with such force, I was thrown out and hit the bookshelf behind.Several books fell and landed on my head.Lika was about to rush towards me again, I waved the sapphire pen with my trembling right hand, Lika's body was wrapped in green light, suspended in the air, unable to move.

"Oh, I didn't expect you to have this trick, why didn't you use it earlier?"

I was still sitting in front of the bookshelf, feeling the back of my head was wet, probably bleeding: "After a dozen times, the fog will dissipate. When the fog dissipates, I can move my body."

"It's only temporary if they are gone, they will always be with you, like shadows, you can't get rid of them even if you shake them."

"You put it on me?"

"This is something that belongs to you. I just gave it back to you, my lord." Lika smiled.

"Well, I see."

I barely supported my knees, stood up, and turned the sapphire pen with my right hand.Rika was wrapped in green light and flew towards the door.

"You are lucky this time, my lord. The guests after you will not be as friendly as me."

"Thank you for allowing me to practice in advance. The more I am beaten, the more resistant I am."

Rika stopped talking, just stared at me angrily, and disappeared behind the office door.

The door closed again, I leaned against the bookshelf in a daze for a few seconds, my knees softened, and I knelt down on the floor. There was a bloody smell in the air.

I saw a pool of blue-green blood on the ground, which seemed to have been boiled dry and turned dark green, probably from the wound on Lika's abdomen.

I touched the back of my head, near the top of my neck, it was wet, and my eyes and hands were bright red.

Vision is starting to blur...

I was hurt again...

I stood up on my knees and limped towards the world.
