Cheng Chumo worked very fast, and found out the exact location around noon the next day.

"Sir, what does Xiao Shuozhen's pattern mean?"

Cheng Chumo asked curiously, not understanding why Li Yi'an and the others reacted so strongly after seeing it.

"This is related to my life experience. I don't know what it means, so don't think too much about it."

Li Yi'an explained casually, and said, "Take me to see."

Soon they came to the house where Chen Shuozhen used to live. It was soaked by the flood and it was already dilapidated. In addition, no one lived there, let alone repaired it.

"Sir, it's here."

Cheng Chumo pointed and said.

Li Yi'an went in and saw that the inside was dilapidated and messy, many things had been washed away, even if he walked around inside, he couldn't see what was there.

The house has become like this, and it is normal to find no usable clues.

"Sir, come and see this thing!"

Cheng Chumo saw that there seemed to be something in the mud, and pulled out a Buddha statue. It was a Maitreya Buddha with a big belly, and exclaimed: "It's really heavy!"

This Buddha statue doesn't look too big, but it is very heavy. Li Yi'an weighed it for a while, and it is still made of pure iron. Even if people want to enshrine a Buddha statue at home, they would not buy a pure iron object.

"Xiao Shuozhen's family is not rich, so why do you want to make a pure iron Buddha statue?"

Cheng Chu said in a puzzled manner.

"I can't understand it either, but there must be something wrong with this Maitreya Buddha."

Li Yi'an picked up a knife and scraped the surface. As the iron powder fell, there was still iron inside, and there was nothing wrong with it. He continued: "Forget it, take it home first and then study it, and move it to the carriage."

Apart from a statue of Maitreya Buddha, they couldn't find any other clues.

Cheng Chumo lifted the Buddha statue vigorously, and just put it on the carriage, other villagers noticed the situation here and looked over curiously.

"It's about Li Zhan!"

Someone recognized Li Yi'an, and the rest of the villagers came over to say hello with great enthusiasm.

"Li Zhan, why did you come to Lao Chen's house?"

"Have you all forgotten? Xiao Shuo is really lonely. He was taken away by Li Zhan in the end. He finally got a good home. Now he is coming back to tidy up old Chen's things."

"But this Buddha statue is very evil. Don't take Li Zhanshi away. Throw it back quickly."

"Evil door?"

Listening to what the villager said, Li Yi'an laughed and said, "Buddhas also know evil ways?"

"You don't know about Li Zhan. When this Buddha statue was enshrined in Lao Chen's house, it was always placed upside down!"

Sitting upside down does not mean sitting upside down, or sitting upside down. It means that the Buddha statue is not in the middle of the hall, but sits upside down on the back wall, facing south and north, which is inconsistent with the layout of the room.

Although the offerings in ordinary people's homes are not as solemn as those in Buddhist temples, the specific requirements are similar, and the rules must be followed.

The Buddha statue enshrined by Chen Shuozhen's parents is also sitting upside down!

When Li Yian heard this, he thought of the couplets on the Buddhist altar of the Avalokitesvara statue in Jiming Temple in Nanjing: Ask the Bodhisattva why he is sitting upside down, and lament that all living beings refuse to look back.

Jiming Temple was built in the first year of Yongkang in the Western Jin Dynasty.

"A statue of Buddha sitting upside down?"

Li Yi'an felt that Chen Shuo was really at home, which was a bit interesting.

"It's not just sitting upside down. The old Chen and his wife died suddenly at night, leaving only a suicide note, asking us to bury the Buddha statue together in the tomb, and we did so."

Another villager said: "But the next morning, we saw the Buddha statue outside Lao Chen's house. As for the grave, there was no trace of being dug up. The Buddha statue ran back by itself. Do you think it's evil or not?"

"Is it really that amazing?"

Cheng Chumo picked up the Buddha statue and looked at it for a while, it was ordinary, probably pure iron was worth something.

"After the Buddha statue came back, the Shuozhen sisters had a serious illness, but when we thought it couldn't be cured, the Buddha statue sat back to its original position without anyone moving it, and their illness was cured. Li Zhan Shi, you should put it back!"

The villager said in panic again.

"It's okay, I'm not afraid, if there is really something evil, I have plenty of means to deal with it."

Li Yi'an couldn't see what was wrong with this thing, probably something unexplainable happened, which made the villagers mistakenly think that there was a supernatural event.

"By the way, where are Shuozhen's parents buried?"

Li Yian asked again.

"there!"

One of the villagers pointed in one direction and continued: "It's at the foot of the mountain. There is only one grave there. To save trouble, we buried their husband and wife together."

"Let's go and see!"

Li Yi'an called Shang Cheng Chumo, heedless of their warnings, and came to the burial place.

The grave soil was washed out badly by the flood, but the slightly raised mounds could still be seen.

"Sir, are we going to dig a grave?"

Cheng Chumo asked.

"No, I'm just here to take a look. If I'm not mistaken, the tomb is empty and there's nothing in it."

"Empty? How is it possible!"

"It's absolutely empty. Xiaoshuo's parents are really not easy. I calculated it for her last night, and the parents are still alive! They probably faked their deaths, and they should be avoiding something. It's even possible that the Buddha statue was brought back by her parents. .”

"Then they can't leave Sister Xiaoshuozhen alone! My sister is unfortunate!"

"Only they know the reason, and we can't control that much."

Li Yi'an shook his head and said, "Go back!"

Back on the carriage, they looked at the Buddha statue, and finally took it back together.

Sigh all beings refuse to turn back.

I don't know what is the significance of the Buddha statues they enshrine. How does Maitreya lament all living beings and refuse to turn back?

Maitreya Buddha, who lived in the same era as Sakyamuni Buddha, is also called the future Buddha, and he is the Buddha of Shakya Tathagata.

This is probably Li Yi'an's understanding of Maitreya Buddha.

Back home, Li Yi'an moved the Buddha statue inside.

The first time Chen Shuozhen saw it, he hid behind Li Changge in fear, and said, "Sir, have you been to my house?"

"Just got back from there!"

Li Yi'an nodded and said, "I'm curious about your matter, so I couldn't help but go through it and found this by accident. Do you know what it means?"

Chen Shuozhen shook his head and said: "I don't understand either, but when my parents were still there, they would go to worship every day, but after they were gone, this happened for no reason. My sister and I didn't dare to sleep in the house. We usually sleep in the woodshed. "

"Yan'er, do you also have this Buddha statue in your place?"

Li Yian asked again.

"no!"

Yu Wenyan shook her head.

"You all have Buddhist heavenly kings, will there be no Buddha statues?"

Li Yian continued to ask.

"Really not. Except for the four heavenly kings, there is nothing related to Buddha in our place."

Yu Wenyan shook her head with certainty: "I don't understand why the Heavenly King is called the Heavenly King, and why it is arranged in this way. It seems to be some taboo, and the elders never let us mention it."

"That's weird!"

Li Yi'an thought to himself.

"Li Zhan, may I ask if you are there?"

At this moment, someone from outside came to Li Yi'an again, interrupting his thoughts.
