A state of passion is superior to a state of ignorance, but it is characterized by major attachments, uncontrollable desires, pursuits, and intense effort.

And the state of goodness is purer and more radiant than other states.People in this state nurture and develop wisdom, but they are conditioned by the concept of happiness.

People in a state of goodness are only interested in their own well-being.In other words, although his desires are purer and more subtle than those of a man in a state of ignorance or passion, he is still self-centered.Such a person is very sad and depressed when a state of ignorance or a state of passion begins to affect his body and mind, and thereby deprives him of the happiness that is derived from a state of goodness.He is not yet free from all three influences—he cannot remain an unaffected, detached witness to their natural workings.He has not yet reached the level of loving service to the whole—so he is not really liberated.Only when the living being imprisoned in the physical body can transcend these three states, can he be freed from birth, death, old age and the sufferings of these three, and can enjoy the nectar in this life as well.

Therefore, the aim of all meditation practice is to liberate one from the domination of these three states of material nature—first from the states of ignorance and passion, and finally, even the state of goodness.
